01/03/2025: Had a great Sunday lunch with the family at Byrne’s in Ballivor, and it was top class! The roast beef was spot on—tender, full of flavor, and just the way a Sunday roast should be. Portions were solid, plenty to go around, and everything was fresh and tasty.
The place had a nice, relaxed vibe, perfect for a family meal. Staff were sound, really friendly and looked after us well.
Overall, great food, great service, and well worth a visit. Definitely heading back again soon!

15/04/2025: Dissapointing it says food till 9pm but we ordered food at 8 but was told food finished at 8, all menu and menu boards say 9pm ,about 6 more people were told the same, menus shd show the correct time, atmosphere nice music in the background, lovely young girl behind the bar, tuesday 15th April, managed very well on her own
08/04/2025: Since Colin took over food is fantastic atmosphere is great and very welcoming. Worth a visit for anyone coming to athlone.

22/03/2025: Absolutely the worst set of waitresses I've ever encountered. Got our order completely wrong. When mentioned to them we were met with utter disrespect. And only 2 out of 4 dishes came out. Crazy prices, terrible staff and an overall horrible dining experience.
If I could give this minus stars I would. Don't waste your money.

Hotel Woodstock
30/03/2025: I booked for mothers day lunch in the Bistro. What can I say a delicious 3 course meal with tea/coffee, complimentary glass of Prosecco for the Mammies! Great touch.. it was a relaxing atmosphere, really tasty food, service running like clockwork by the cheerful Oisin. Sean & Elaine popping around to speak to all the tables.
Highly recommend.
Have also stayed at Hotel Woodstock - rooms are spotless and up to date. breakfast & Lunch were both very nice.
