24/10/2025: I was only in the restaurant for a coffee. The atmosphere is very pleasant, beautifully decorated, and cozy. Good service.

07/10/2025: A lovely cafe on the banks of the Barrow. We sat out and had coffee and scones, watching the world go by on the river. Nicest scones we’ve had for a long time. Friendly staff too.

23/05/2026: Nice spot for a bite to eat as we traveled around Ireland. The burger was fantastic and fish and chips were okay. Fries were bland.

28/06/2026: Utterly disappointing lunch yesterday, I've been going to this Cafe for over 10 years and the service and food has steadily declined. After today I won't be back. €17 for two horrid sandwiches, pre made and where just cut up and put in a plate... tasted terrible and was a sad affair. I couldn't even finish it.

22/07/2026: I was in knock yesterday Tuesday the 21st July 2026 and visited this restaurant for lunch When we arrived myself and my wife had to wait a while to be seated. One of the staff suggested we order so we wouldn't be delayed when we git a table. When we did get a table not that long a wait we immediately got a pot of tea that we had ordered with our blt's by 2. We were waiting quite a while but we were not in any rush as I always find knock a very relaxed place. We got our meal eventually and the waitress gave us a fresh pot of tea we enjoyed our meal and when I went to pay the manageress said there was no charge because of the delay 🙃 I couldn't believe this as I already said we didn't mind the delay but she insisted said a burco had gone on the blink and something else not sure 🤔 Either way we weren't charged anything 😕 which I thought was so lovely I have been here before as a volunteer with Galway Hospice and will definitely be back again also did I mention the staff were so lovely 😍 Thanks a million you made our day 💙 ❤️

22/06/2026: Friendly bar with plenty of seafood on offer. The food was really well cooked, the calamari perfect. Nice selection of desserts too, but I was too full after the main ourse to sample them. Old style bar with old style service, I would happily visit again.

13/08/2025: Didn’t eat here, but wouldn’t go back for drinks. Bartenders were not friendly at all and refused to make mixed drinks for Americans, but then made them for their friends who ordered right after. One acted as if he didn’t know what Tito’s vodka was. They had great live music and a lively crowd, but a very unwelcoming bunch. Americans should skip this spot and spend their money elsewhere. One of the few pubs the group had anything negative to say about.

11/07/2026: Had a lovely meal at The Orchard Inn. The food was fresh, hot, and beautifully presented. I had the Lasagne with chips, and it was cooked perfectly with plenty of flavour. The chips were crispy, and the garlic bread was a delicious addition. The portion size was generous and excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was prompt. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. I'll definitely be back and would happily recommend The Orchard Inn to anyone looking for good food and great service.

29/06/2026: Excellent place place for some food service was great food was nice, only down size was I say we arrived late and some food you knew was under the heater a while if got from carvey but anything fresh Excellent.

17/03/2026: OK place. Reasonable prices, wife and I ordered burgers. Not impressed, cheap cheap cheap, you can find better quality ingredients at a chipper. Place needs TLC. Staff were nice thought.

20/05/2026: Went through the drive through, ordered chicken tender meal. Received food after a ridiculously long wait and left, checked food and I was missing chips, had to turn around and waste valuable time from my break to go back and get chips, no apology or anything from the guy in the window just gave me the chips and slammed the window shut

07/05/2026: The staff is very friendly, but unfortunately, the breakfast is very basic and repetitive; the bread and other items are dry. The advertised indoor pool is a public one, and swimming caps are mandatory. It's very noisy, as children's groups also use it for lessons, so it's not a relaxing place. The restaurant in the evening doesn't offer much choice and is a bit overpriced considering the portion size. The location is good; you can quickly reach the beach and the nearest bus stop in about 10 minutes.

11/01/2026: Great staff, lovely food, and amazing rooms. Treated my daughter like royalty when they found out it was her birthday.

06/06/2026: This place is fine dining disguised as casual. Loose and laid back, Victor returned my call and fit us into a busy night with incredible service. The small plates were tasty and not heavy. This is a perfect stop between a day of touring heading back into Cork.

06/06/2026: They were able to fit us in at the last minute on a busy Saturday night. We were absolutely blown away by the creativity of the menu and the food was outstanding. Our server, Victor, was friendly, helpful, and made our meal one of the most memorable we had in Ireland.

25/05/2026: Another chance and another disappointing experience. Ordered online not ready upon arrival despite giving plenty of time. It wasn't busy staff were talking amongst themselves and it appeared my Order was just been started. Chocolate milkshake was just milk with Chocolate sauce. Disgusting...fish box has changed and was utterly horrible. Wont be giving it another chance . I'd give a minus if I could !!
