Location, location, location.... With a great breakfast included in the price.

Spent a night here after the Kilkenny 5km race. Highly recommend it. The staff was very helpful and welcoming 😊 the beds were cozy and the breakfast was 10/10. Thanks to staff Mario and Gerry.

Had a 1 night stay in Rafters for a hen party, there were 23 of us and I can't think of one negative thing to say. Gerry was an absolute lifesaver he gave us a great deal, we had a private room for an activity on arrival, dinner, bed and breakfast. Everything was absolutely perfect. Any questions I had when planning the night away Gerry was only an email/phone call away and responded so fast. We were a large group and our dinners all came out at the one time the service was amazing. Dinner and breakfast was so delicious. I can't wait to return in the future!

Lovely, sleeping above the pub. It is not a luxury hotel, but it is exactly what you can expect from the description. It is clean, has good beds, and a nice shower. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is very good and the atmosphere is super cozy. The location is perfect, about a 5 to 10 minute walk from just about all the sights.

I didn't stay there, but I ended up on my own at at 40th birthday party and ended up having the craic. Get buzz in the place

We didn't stay here (will next runner) but stopped for lunch amd have to say... the food was phenomenal, I mean...PHENOMENAL. Avoid touristy nonsense and stop in here for a proper meal, you will not regret it.

The owner and staff of rafters looked after us so well from the minute we arrived to the day we left.food was excellent (steak on a stone).rooms were very clean ,warm and comfortable.we traveled for races in gowran and our group booked it again for next year .very central location and overall I would have no problem recommending rafters .well done to everyone involved. We had a function last week and I must say the service food and ambiance was excellent. Bar lady was very pleasant and friendly towards everyone. Would highly recommend this Gastro pub for medium functions.
