Glendine inn in Kilkenny

Had a beautiful stay with my partner this weekend. We were let down by another booking and were in quick need of somewhere to stay. Anne accommodated us with a moments notice and made our stay truly special for a weekend I’ll never forget. Thank you to all the staff for their generosity and accommodation of allergic needs for us! Will definitely be back can’t recommend them highly enough there

Beautiful food. Excellent service.

I recently booked a group of 14 for finger food and drinks. I expected better after a previous stay. The table was adjoined by a trestle table nothing added only a small pile of napkins. Before we even had time to sit we were asked what drinks we would like. The food was late, and no sauces were ready, we were well tucking in before sauces arrived. We weren't offered even water as there were 5 children in the group. We didn't even get a few small plates for the finger food, we had to eat off napkins with sauce poured onto napkins. I have worked in establishments myself in Kilkennyn in the 80s and 90s and this kind of service would be mortifying for our management and customers. This review is to improve and bring back great service in pubs.

Fabulous place for food drink nice place

Popped in for lunch here recently, a fine bar with carvery and plenty of space inside to sit. Premises is clean and staff are attentive and friendly. It's a busy spot for carvery lunch, the salmon was all gone, so I had the chicken curry with rice and vegetables. Very nice food and portion size good. Also plenty of parking available. I understand there is also accommodation here. I would recommend this place and I will return again.

A very good value for money option. It's clear they've recently renovated. Breakfast is separate but tasty.

Only there for evening meals and drinks. Some nice cozy corners. Very friendly and engaging staff - very welcoming. Kind of slow mid-week so it felt spacious and quiet.
