22/02/2026: We visited Malzards on our recent trip to Ireland. Fun, atmosphere, and company were easily all 10/10!! Pulled a pint and got a perfect pour. Will definitely visit if we ever go back!!

08/04/2026: Brilliant dining experience in a beautiful setting. Staff are warm and welcoming, and provided excellent service throughout the evening. The meal itself was top notch, beginning with appetisers (blue cheese salad and Burrata), followed by mains (Hake and short rib), and finished with dessert (cheese cake and berry crumble). One of the best meals we’ve had in Ireland. ☘️🇨🇦

21/03/2026: We stayed in Zuni for a family celebration and we all agreed it was a wonderful experience. The rooms were lovely, good size and very comfortable. The restaurant is excellent, definitely the best meal I've had in a long time. However, the star of the show was the staff, consistently friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

13/04/2026: I have to say... just wow. This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel receptionist, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. From the moment we arrived, the hostess was warm and welcoming. We had initially tried to book over the phone but were advised to walk in and despite how busy it was, we were seated within minutes. The place was buzzing, with a fantastic atmosphere throughout. To start, we ordered the short rib beef croquettes, which were exceptional, truly melt-in-your-mouth. For mains, we both chose the filet steaks with peppercorn sauce, cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The sides of mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were equally enjoyable and complemented the meal well. Overall, a really impressive dining experience. I would definitely recommend it, delicious from start to finish.

27/03/2026: Mains were great, but the creme brulee would make me go back again and again. Cocktails were lovely too.

02/04/2026: One of the saddest paninis I've ever had: few tiny pieces of cheap chicken and few rashes of bacon. All covered with mayo. Salad tiny scoop coleslaw with some ranch sauce. And some chips.

07/04/2026: Had a brilliant stay in the Lyrath Hotel for my girlfriend’s birthday. The hotel has so much character and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious with lovely green views. We took a walk down by the lake and it was spectacular, seeing herons and swans by the water. They do have a Falconry, which I would definitely do next time! I booked The Grill restaurant for food and the food was easily some of the nicest, (if not the nicest) food I’ve ever had on a night away. We had the beef fillet with chips and tender-stem broccoli and it was absolutely unbelievable. Would definitely recommend a stay in here even if just for one night to relax, have some good food and enjoy a bit of music with a drink. Would love to come back here in the future.

07/04/2026: Such a beautiful hotel! Rooms are lovely and the food is amazing. The staff are so friendly, helpful and cannot do enough for you. The grounds of the hotel are gorgeous. I would highly recommend the spa, it's so relaxing and the pool has a great view over the gardens. I have stayed here twice now and each stay has been outstanding. Would highly recommend.

22/04/2026: Very well located, the staff were very attentive and efficient. The decor is unique, and they play pleasant background music without being intrusive. The food was decent, although the meat was a little overcooked for my taste. The seafood chowder was a great choice!

21/04/2026: Olivia was an outstanding waitress for our large group—always smiling and incredibly attentive. The fish and chips were amazing, and everyone at the table ordered something different that was just as delicious. The Irish dinner music playing throughout made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

15/04/2026: Avoid they allow men to use the ladies toilets my 9 year old daughter went to the bathroom only to be confronted by a man in the toilets with his door open..approached staff about this and they laughed it of..this individual constantly does this as if it was acceptable. A fully grown man in a toilet with the door open is acceptable to these guys..Avoid

21/04/2026: This is a truly unique place to visit. It does not open until 8 - the gate across the front is locked so it leaves folks guessing whether it is still in operation. It is. Definitely worth a visit for a pint and some great conversation.

14/04/2026: A really great spot for a warm welcome, stories you'll hear nowhere else and not a million options at the bar -just the good stuff. Truly one of those mythical places where locals and tourists can come together to make a perfect blend.

28/02/2026: One of the best places in Kilkenny for food and drink. We had lunch and a bottle of wine. The service was amazing and very friendly. The food was fantastic and when next in Kilkenny we will make this our first stop.
