The Fig Tree Restaurant in Kilkenny

So totally GF and vegetarian friendly. I had a GF scone. It.did.not.lose.crumb.at.all. It let me butter and jam and put whipped cream on it. Heaven.

We spontaneously decided to have a light lunch here. Our table on the first floor was cozy. Overall, the Fig Tree is rather small and lively. It seems there are also many local regulars. Everyone knows each other by name. The "soup of the day" (pumpkin and sweet potato) with bread and butter was really delicious. So were the chicken nuggets with fries. The service was friendly and attentive throughout. The prices were also reasonable.

Absolutely HIGHLY recommend this incredible quaint place in the heart of Kilkenny, especially for breakfast.

Amazing experience ! We had brunch here and we had gluten free options and my friend was able to eat a customised vegan breakfast. The food was great and the place is very cozy.

Lovely spot. I've been here 3 times for breakfast. I'm extremely fussy and I generally dissect sausages but there's no rubbery gunk in their sauages, rashers are cooked to perfection. Staff are lovely. Would highly recommend.

Had iced latte and club panini. Both were good. Service was quick and friendly.
