We have had food at The Orchard on a number of occasions. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Food has consistently been of a high standard. The premises are well presented. We will definitely visit again when in the area.

We stayed there for one night and it was exactly what we needed. The room was minimalist, but had the essentials, (bed, private toilet, air conditioning, etc.). After we arrived, we went downstairs for dinner which was fantastic and of course, had breakfast there as well.

We recently had lunch at Orchard House with a group of 9 to celebrate our son’s First Communion. Everything was excellent. The staff were very kind and welcoming, our table was prepared in advance, and the food was absolutely delicious. A wonderful experience from start to finish, we will definitely be back!

The Fig Tree Restaurant

08/08/2026: So totally GF and vegetarian friendly. I had a GF scone. It.did.not.lose.crumb.at.all. It let me butter and jam and put whipped cream on it. Heaven.
07/08/2026: We spontaneously decided to have a light lunch here. Our table on the first floor was cozy. Overall, the Fig Tree is rather small and lively. It seems there are also many local regulars. Everyone knows each other by name. The "soup of the day" (pumpkin and sweet potato) with bread and butter was really delicious. So were the chicken nuggets with fries. The service was friendly and attentive throughout. The prices were also reasonable.
