Orchard House Bar in Kilkenny

There is plenty of free parking available. We had to search a bit to find the check-in area. This could perhaps be made clearer. It was at the bar. The room was modern and spacious. We didn't want to open the windows because the kitchen was directly below the room and the exhaust air came right out. However, there was a proper air conditioner, which was sufficient. The room was quiet. A note about privacy: the bathroom door is a sliding door that doesn't lock. It only provides some visual screening; noise simply passes through it. We drove into Kilkenny city center; it was too far for us to walk.

Excellent room, clean and comfortable. Coffee maker and teas included. Extremely friendly from the moment we arrived. We had dinner upon arrival, breakfast the next day, and everything was wonderful.

We have had food at The Orchard on a number of occasions. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Food has consistently been of a high standard. The premises are well presented. We will definitely visit again when in the area.

Great food, big portions, excellent service in a relaxed edge-of-town location. Excellent value for money for tourists who have had enough of town centre eateries.

We stayed there for one night and it was exactly what we needed. The room was minimalist, but had the essentials, (bed, private toilet, air conditioning, etc.). After we arrived, we went downstairs for dinner which was fantastic and of course, had breakfast there as well.
