26/07/2026: We had a great time. It was August’s first night bartending. He is from Wisconsin and so are we, so we had that going. It was just like being back home in your local tavern.
20/06/2026: A very unique pub tucked away in the narrow streets of central Kilkenny. Cash only, the beer is Guinness, and the people are cheerful and carefree. A beautiful hidden spot, congratulations!

15/04/2026: Excellent stay last weekend with my baby as part of a hen party. Cannot thank the staff enough, I found myself staying on my own with my baby due to the fuel protests. The ladies on reception were so welcoming and helped with my luggage. The restaurant delivered my meal to the room, it was lovely. The hotel is great and the staff definitely made my stay enjoyable and relaxing.
08/04/2026: Good hotel located in the centre of kilkenny. Room was nice, clean and big, and despite it overlooking the main street it was quiet. Slightly odd setup that the quickest way to the hotel room was to leave the building and walk across the car park, but there was an option to walk through the hotel also. Bar was good, just went there for a drink, not food. Breakfast is self service and a good choice of hot and cold food.

19/05/2026: We stayed in the accommodation and there was 5 of us in one room and it was not comfortable, great place for a stag or hen but you wouldn't want to be claustrophobic, the accommodation was behind the pub and you went over to the pub for food , the breakfast in the morning was very slow . The girls working there were very nice to deal with. It in a good location for the rest of Kilkenny

12/06/2026: Chill spot to have a drink and eat some delicious food. Had an excellent vegan falafel wrap. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. Great staff. Would happily visit again. Oh they make an awesome hand tossed margarita pizza 🍕 😋
11/06/2026: Stayed here for a week. Breakfast was fantastic every day. Staff were all pleasant enough.
A special shout out to Zara who went above and beyond every day for us.
If you’re staying here, I would reccomend ear plugs, as the windows aren’t the thickest. You can literally hear everything outside.
But location is great, car park behind for €5 a day.

06/09/2025: O'Hara's tap room. Went there and had really good beer. Spoke with two of the bartenders (possibly owners?) asked for a sticker (which no breweries or distillers carry in Ireland) and received a free t shirt instead. Great place good people!

Deli and a delightful array of goodies to pick from the M+ S shop!!
But what really makes Applegreen Paulstown stand out is the AMAZING Staff headed up by Phil and her Team.They are friendly welcoming and always there with a smile and a Good Morning.I always leave in good humour and well fed!
Thir attention to detail....high standards and professionalism is something to behold.
It is exemplary and is a model of excelllent practice nationally!
Well done to Phil and Enda on a Superb Management model that works and delivers!!.
You can feel the culture of collaboration and teamwork the minute you walk in the door!!

21/05/2026: Pizza is good for the price. They charge you extra if you're eating pizza from there. Strange!
The service is not great also. One time they send me a wrong pizza order. They asked me to drive back to make it right when complained. But they kept the old opened pizza box for themselves and gave me the new one. No proper apology. I'd have given both the boxes for the troubles atleast, if i was the manager.
16/05/2026: I Ordered chicken Fried Rice a really simple and easy order when I walked in they asked did I order chicken curry and I said no chicken fried rice but they still got the order wrong. Will not be trusting this place again if they can’t even get a simple order right.

22/03/2026: Absolutely awful experience from start to finish. The room itself was in a shocking state, with mould growing on the walls which immediately made the whole place feel dirty and unsafe. To make things worse, we had complete strangers somehow entering our room at 3am — even though the door was locked. It was genuinely unsettling and left us feeling like we couldn’t relax for a second.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the guys staying upstairs took a shower and the water literally came through the ceiling and onto our bed. Completely unacceptable and honestly unbelievable that a place like this is allowed to operate.
There was never anyone at reception or in the lobby to speak to, so we had no way to report these issues or get help. By the end of the stay, we felt so uncomfortable that it was like our skin was crawling the entire time.
Even basic things didn’t work properly — the curtains wouldn’t close, leaving us with no privacy.
The only positive thing I can say is that the location was good. Unfortunately, that’s nowhere near enough to make up for everything else. I would strongly advise avoiding this place.

04/07/2025: Tuvimos una comida fabulosa aquí hoy en el bar Marble City, llegamos sin reserva y tuvimos la suerte de que nos sentaran de inmediato, Kevin, nuestro camarero, fue muy amable, servicial y paciente con 2 comensales quisquillosos, la comida era deliciosa y una experiencia encantadora en todos los sentidos, volveremos.
04/07/2025: En un viaje reciente a Kilkenny, tuve la suerte de pasar por el bar Marble City para almorzar. He visitado Kilkenny en muchas ocasiones pero nunca había comido aquí antes. Kevin, que era agradable, conversador y todo un caballero, me sirvió una comida deliciosa. Esto hizo que mi experiencia fuera muy placentera y tengo toda la intención de volver a venir aquí para comer.
