22/10/2023: Very cool place with great staff and drinks! If coming for your first time, it can be a little tricky to find (if using GPS, look down the alley for their sign). If I were a local this would definitely be a regular visit to have a drink and chill. (Also has live music some days of the week.)

10/03/2024: This place is a gem. Fantastic premises and wonderful nourishing food. The staff are lovely and incredibly welcoming. Definitely worth a visit, only 15 minutes from Kilkenny City.

12/03/2024: 1st stop we made on my 1st pub crawl in Ireland. Great place to start , friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. When your done here there are 2 more bars in a row and you come to Abbey street right after the Pumphouse bar. Walk up Abbey street and see the 1200 A.D. Norman Black Ferren Gate. Even farther along you will see the Black Abbey which has some spectacular stained glass. But turn around go back the way you came and have another beverage...it's a bar crawl after all!

26/01/2024: So my wife left in KK dressed less than for home, in struggle to find a place that’s not too local and not to touristy I sat in. I stayed next three hours calling my family to have dinner. Great staff that gave me all beer to try, nice customers mix of alternatives and hipsters. Nice food

06/01/2024: pretty grim! if all u care about is a cheap pillow to lay ur head for few hours, grand! otherwise if u have any self respect keep traveling spent few euro more and find much nicer accommodation very close.

01/04/2024: Stayed here for my 30th with the girlfriend, we stayed in a townhouse room, these are located right next to the busy street directly accross 2 busy bars, very loud at night hard to get a sleep for the 3 nights we were there, The walls/glass is very thin and cannot open windows as it is loud enough as it was so room was very uncomfortable espcially at night, cars going up and down revving all night blaring music and people laying up against your bedroom window at night is unacceptable, not a whole lot the hotel can do on this matter but i would still avoid the townhouse rooms alot nicer out there for alot cheaper, the townhouse rooms are very loud at night with music, drunk people outside, cars be aware, Staff are very friendly and breakfast is nice, parking is decent, other areas of the hotel would be alot nicer to stay in i feel

31/03/2024: 4th time there a lovely hotel, hotel is all ways cosy your room is lovely and warm it's nice having a beer on the decking at the river looking at the castle and in walking distance to everything park the car up and enjoy.

18/03/2024: I recently indulged in a culinary adventure at this restaurant, where the reservation process was effortlessly smooth. The service was swift, and the ambiance exuded a serene, family-friendly vibe. The menu boasted dishes priced at an exceedingly fair rate. While the flavors didn't quite reach the pinnacle of excellence, they certainly justified their cost. The curry infused within the chicken supreme was a standout, offering a tantalizing burst of flavors. The children's goujons provided a delightful crunch with each bite. As for the mains, the salmon, beef, and lamb were all impeccably prepared, showcasing the chef's mastery in the kitchen. In sum, it was an enjoyable escapade for a swift and satisfying lunchtime indulgence.

23/12/2023: 16 of us went there today for a family lunch. Lovely atmosphere, Friendly relaxed welcome. Menu extensive. Ordering food first class. Service excellent and efficient. Food excellent, well cooked. and presented. Everyone satisfied with everything. Butler's was a nice place to be this afternoon

11/03/2024: Stopped for food no complaints got Burger King there was a subway and a deli coffee shop what more could you want

10/03/2024: Had the nicest experience in Applegreen in Paulstown on Friday March 8th. We received really tasty food, Barry's tea and the friendliest service from a lovely man (sorry we didn't catch his name). Very grateful for his kindness
