10/07/2024: Overall not satisfying experience. Food was dissapointing and bland. Definitely not recommended. Atmosphere was rude and unfriendly.

10/07/2024: Low-quality food for the price, unfriendly atmosphere, didn't feel very hygienic, disappointed with this place, would not recommend since there are so many places that are actually friendly and delicious to eat/drink in Kilkenny.

30/07/2025: Avoid at all costs! Zero stars if I could. Terrible service, terrible atmosphere, overpriced! Staff more interested in texting, chatting- had to go into back room to ask for someone to take order even though they could see a queue of people waiting! Forgot part of order and pretty miffed when asked if could have it. No vegetarian options but “we could take the ham off the the ham and cheese sandwich”. Avoid, avoid, avoid! Lots of cafes and restaurants outside the castle to go to!

17/09/2024: Primera vez decepcionado con los toppers en el Lyrath. Decidí darme un capricho, así que vine a almorzar rápido. Pedí las alitas de pollo, como de costumbre, pero esta vez no me impresionó. Las "alas", más muslos que alas, estaban carbonizadas y muy, muy duras y masticables. La salsa también estaba mucho más picante de lo normal. Me dieron una muestra de una nueva adición de menú, tiras de calamares. Estos fueron muy sabrosos y voy a tenerlos en el futuro en lugar del pollo. La ensalada tipo col que los acompañaba, sin embargo, olía y tenía un sabor "off", le dije al camarero, así que con suerte lo pasó a la cocina antes de que se sirviera a otros clientes.

30/04/2024: What a great surprise! We visited Tupper's for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. I had the slow cooked pork belly and my wife had the curry and we shared a dessert. From start to finish it was delicious...far better than you'd normally expect for a hotel bar....even a five star hotel bar - but we'd heard great reports and they weren't wrong. The food was restaurant quality but served in much more relaxed surroundings - and there was a great selection. Ideal for lunch. A special mention for Alex the bar manager and Lydia on the hotel reception who was extremely helpful and professional. We'll be back - and intend to be over the coming days.
