Rive Gauche in Kilkenny

Myself and my Boyfriend came to Rive Gauche to celebrate our anniversary and we had the most magical time. Our server David was amazing. He was so attentive and lovely and made our dinner so special. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Our food was amazing. The atmosphere, food and overall vibe was 10/10. We will 100% be coming back. A special thanks to David for helping us celebrate!

Fantastic French/Irish restaurant. Well located in the center of Kilkenny next to the castle. Vintage decor with a bistro feel. Excellent menu, impeccably prepared. Attentive and professional service. Very good wine list. Homemade and well-made desserts. Very reasonable prices. Well worth a visit.

The restaurant is welcoming and elegant, tastefully decorated and characterized by soft lighting and pleasant background music. The staff is impeccable. The food didn't live up to expectations: the risotto was overcooked and not really risotto at all, and the other dishes were good but nothing special.

Excellent service as usual but food is extremely overpriced for the quality in return. Risotto was stodgy and Fish of the Day was dry and the baked potato didn't help that. Duck was cooked superbly. Way too expensive to go back again for dinner

One of the best crème brûlée I've ever eaten

This was my favorite restaurant in our multi city tour of Ireland. Excellent food and cocktails plus an extensive wine list. Very friendly and attentive staff. Atmosphere is incredible too.

Very nice setting. The food was good however for the price point I would have expected better.
