Amazing pub! Great people! And family owned support local business!

What a brilliant pub! History, great service, real chips (not frozen) and a lesson in hurling (the Irish game). Fred turns on a treat for anyone willing to take the time to chat to him. I had my first pint of Smithwicks here and fell in love with red ale. All I need now is to convince someone to import it to Australia. Thank you Fred 😘

Love this pub, great little snugs and low ceilings. Now it has a pool table and an outdoor area for smokers.

This was an amazing experience! Fred and family were so welcoming and made sure everyone in our group had a wonderful time. We even got to be a part of the live music! 10/10 would recommend!

I don’t think I can put into words how beautiful this experience was. Going into a bar and feeling so welcomed and being treated like family was amazing. If you do anything while visiting the Kilkenny area, spend time at this bar and do the hurling experience. I promise it will be a core memory. Thank you Fred and family ☺️

We were on vacation and this was one of our stops. We are glad our tour bus stopped here, this was an incredible stop for everyone on the tour whether you drink or not. We had so much fun!

Wow this is a fantastic place to go for a lovely local welcome drink in Kilkenny. The pub has lots to offer. We stayed in our campervan in a safe little area behind the pub. It was so nice we stayed an extra night. The owner was a gentleman, and couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome. I will definitely be back. Anna & Conor
