Malzards in Lawcus

Such a fun time!!! We learned how to pour our own Guinness’s. Then got to learn about the history of Hurling & get a chance to play! We traveled with our family and it suited all ages. Made great friends and can’t wait to pop back in the future!

Was on a tour with 11 people of Ireland and stopped here for lunch on St Patrick’s Day. A perfect stop - the owner was a delight and entertaining. I learned the perfect pour. There was singing. And the lamb stew was one of my best meals the entire trip. You could tell everyone was welcome here, whether an individual or a group. It’s the kind of place you want to return to.

We visited this pub with our Trafalgar Bus Tour and what a amazing atmosphere. We were taught how to play Hurling and entertained by two local musicians who had the whole bar singing and dancing. They even had some of us playing music along with the band. The owner and staff were fantastic and made the entire visit very enjoyable. I highly recommend you visit this pub when traveling in Ireland. It was a great evening.

I went to Fred's as part of a group tour, and my night here was definitely a highlight! Everyone was treated like family. I'm not an athlete, but learning aboutand trying the hurling was unique and fun. Danny Burke also performed some music which was amazing. Such a great craic! I can't recommend enough.

This place is the best pub I've been in ireland truly an authentic experience and makes you feel like a local!

It was great music and drinks. You got to pour your own drink. We'll come back.

Our group had a great time at Malzards, friendly staff, cold beer, good entertainment. Learned a little about hurling too.

Our stop here was definitely one of the highlights of our Ireland trip! Fred and his sweet daughter made our visit so fun! We tried Hurling, Learned how to build a pint and sang with Adrain This pub is a true Irish Gem 🍀!

I had a great time in the pub . So relax . Good music . Cozy n family style . Had fun doing hurling game .

Can't recommend this place more! If you haven't been to Malzards for some Irish Hurling and pint then you haven't been to Ireland!
