I didn't eat there, but had a drink, lots of singing, laughing and learned (or the owner tried to teach me and my friends) to play hurling. It was a terrific experience and great live music. I would highly recommend that anyone stop by for a visit.

What an experience! If you want to experience genuine Irish hospitality, this is the place. From enjoying a few traditional pub beers to trying our hand at hurling, a sport us Aussies had never even heard of - we gave it our best shot. We weren't exactly naturals, but with a bit more practice we might have improved! We even brought home a souvenir sliotar, so now all we need is a hurley. Our Irish Stew and yummy Dessert was topped off by Adrian, the pub musician, who entertained us with classic Irish songs and even had us Aussies singing Botany Bay, while our American friends joined in with This Land Is Your Land. If you're ever in Kilkenny, it's an experience not to be missed. A lunch of music, laughter and friendship, showcasing the warmth of Irish hospitality. If you're ever in Kilkenny, it's an experience not to be missed.

An absolutely fantastic pub. I second all the good things said by other reviewers. If you're anywhere nearby, you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't stop in.

Had the tremendous experience of coming to O’Gradys on our recent Trafalgar Tour to Ireland. This place has the best fries I have ever had, the owner Fred and his lovely daughter are so much fun. The energy is out of this world! Learned all about hurling and got to poor my own beer! Although I won worst pour, I couldn’t have been happier. My first trip to the area and my ancestors were from Kilkenny, I hope they had as much fun as I did if they ever got near O’Grady’s!!❤️

We were here with a tour group. First, we were given a brief introduction to hurling, and then we got to hit a few balls ourselves. Unfortunately, due to the weather, we couldn't play as much as had been advertised. That was a bit short; I would have liked more time. Afterwards, we could pour our own beer, and there was live music. The singer was funny and knew exactly how to get everyone involved. Half of our group ended up playing an instrument, and everyone sang along. The atmosphere was fantastic. It was really fun.

had an opportunity to swing a Hurley stick ... was fun!! I think I could understand this game before understanding either NA football leagues! Adrian entertained our group and had everyone involved. The outdoor patio area is so welcoming! make the time to visit, pour a pint - 1 got a 10/10 even if Greg said it was a 5/10
