30/08/2026: Great staff ,excellent food and service

29/08/2026: This is just about the "Donner kebab" their chicken is good however what should be "Lamb" is actually Beef ! They tell me it has been that way for at least a year now. Very disappointed. Hence the 3*, if it was Lamb I'd have given 5*

07/09/2026: I enjoyed a Monday evening Trad session and delicious Irish stew a couple of weeks ago while visiting from the US. It was fantastic evening! The food was delicious, service was perfect and everyone was so friendly! The music and singing was just beautiful and I hope to visit again one day!

20/08/2026: Such a lovely place for lunch! 🥰 Arán has a great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service. I especially recommend the Italian toast — absolutely delicious and full of flavour! 🇮🇹🥪. I’ll definitely be back! ❤️

19/08/2026: A must of you're visiting Kilkenny! If you're planning to eat in the bistro, we'd advise planning your time and booking ahead. On one side of the road is the bakery - so much choice and drinks too. All the pastries looked amazing! We are in the bistro - amazing chai latte and Korean Chicken Wraps...cannot recommend them highly enough - delicious!

28/07/2026: Didn't eat here, but amazing nostalgia. Talked with Syd, the owner, and couldn't be friendlier. Even stayed in the rooms above for a night. Definitely worth a stop.

25/08/2026: Not an unenjoyable experience, by any stretch, but I couldn't help but feel a little bit disappointed by the quality of the food. If I had just wandered in off the street with no expectations, I would have enjoyed it more, but knowing that it was a Michelin star restaurant, I was expecting to he wowed, which never happened. Overall, a decent Sunday lunch but the Michelin star is somewhat perplexing.

28/07/2026: As a birthday treat my son took myself and my wife for lunch at this restuarant. We arrived just at ppening time at 12.30pm We got a very warm friendly welcome as we were brought to our table. The lunch menu for the early bird lunch give you 3 choices for starters, mains and deserts. Each of us enjoyed different choices for all 3 courses. The level of detail taken by the chef was extrondery as all dishes were top class. The level of attention that we received from our waitor was exceptional. The table settings and comfort was also first class. I would reccomend this resturant for a special occasion to be spoilt .. We will be back!

06/09/2026: Frankly speaking the price are far too high. It is a nice restaurant and the service was quite good, but the prices are not at all justified. We had two starters that was priced at 16 € and this was already far too high for the quality and size. My wife had than the catch of the day that was ok, but costs 49 €. I would really not recommend this restaurant

12/08/2026: I cannot express how DELICIOUS the sándwiches were. Exactly how youd expect a sándwich to be if you got it in a charcuterie in Italy. Delicious ingredientes and the bread was super good.

23/08/2026: An amazing place! Relaxing, peaceful, and fully immersed in nature. Great location as short drive to all of the must see places in Kilkenny. Caroline is a fantastic host and so attentive, eager to make your stay comfortable. This place is amazing for dogs with a large green area to run around and a safe space to let your dog roam around and meet the gorgeous onsite dog Arthur🐾 Highly recommend!

17/08/2026: Stunning outdoor garden with 10 tables with lamps and excellent cleanliness.

24/05/2026: Beautiful local atmosphere, pub is positioned in the centre of the Callan. Recently renovated, but still keeping the old charm. We were there few days ago as family, playing pool 🎱 and having best time.

15/07/2026: Been here past couple of nights the staff are fabulous.so helpful friendly and nothing is hard work for them.
