The Field in Kilkenny

Great Music night on Sunday - service and choice of beers is excellent.

Always a great place to have a few drinks in when in kilkenny. Staff are the most welcoming & friendly. Seems to be a spot for regular locals returning. Atmosphere for football been shown & then live music too. Ideal location just across the road from the markets & the castle.

Had a great time, making new friends and enjoying the music. A 71 yr old gent that snuck out of a nursing home and a younger lad that looked after him, just kidding. He worked the crowd like a pro, really enjoyed our time there.

Fun place to grab a drink. The people singing were cracking us up. They let us bring out child in too who was sleeping.

After dinner, we weren't quite ready to go to bed, but Kilkenny is a small somewhat sleepy town and at 8pm there wasn't much open, plus it seemed like only a few bars would be open late night. By 9pm, we decided to check out The Field because of the live Irish singer/guitarist and lively group inside. We were greeting by the young crowd singing along to their favorite Irish songs (fun vibes). A little later, the younger group filed out to the front patio, the musician packed up, and the vibe calmed down a bit inside.

Very quiet when we were in, extremely friendly barmaid, drink very expensive, 6.50 for a pint of Heineken is robbery

This place is great during the day and at night. The staff is top-notch, the food is fantastic, and the live music is always good.

Nice pub in the centre of Kilkenny, a bit more expensive than other places. At this evening there were two great live acts which we enjoyed very much. We had the best Kilkenny and Guinness there. The Field bar is located in the centre of Kilkenny, quite opposite the castle.

People are very nice.good place to go..
