13/07/2025: A Kebab Worth Catching – 5/5 After a long, rain-slicked day of wrestling with stubborn northern pike in the gray churn of the barrow, I didn’t think anything could top the feeling of finally hanging up the waders. But then I cracked open the foil on my doner wrap from graig garden , and let me tell you—that was the real catch of the day. The moment I peeled back that steaming tinfoil, a wave of warmth and spice hit my face like a friendly slap from a Mediterranean breeze. Inside was a wrap that looked more like a rolled-up sleeping bag of joy—massive, heavy, and brimming with promise. The doner meat? Unbelievably tender, soaked in just the right balance of savory fat and spice, like it had been marinating for hours just to greet me personally. It wasn’t just food; it was therapy wrapped in flatbread. Each bite was euphoric—a crescendo of juicy lamb, tangy sauce, and crisp salad all hugging together like they’d trained for this moment. It didn’t just fill me up; it revived me. The rain, the wind, the pike that got away—all forgotten. If you’ve ever been cold, soaked, and dead tired, do yourself a favor: skip the pub, skip the shower, and go straight to Graig garden. That kebab doesn’t just feed you—it brings you back to life. (p.s workers are great but know a total of 10 words of English so be prepared ) 🎣🔥🥙

10/06/2025: In fairness it’s pretty bad ! Food was not great ! Especially for the price. McDonalds would have been a better option. Big giveaway is the floors are really sticky ! I should have listens to myself and turned around and walked out . But I have the benefit of the doubt. The staff were lovely and courteous. Food horrendous.

28/05/2025: Bread was gone off price per portion was outrageous pints were Scadlous I paid 24 euro for about 6 bites of steak over cooked with a single slice of bread wouldn’t even consider it a sandwich on top of deli paper the height of unprofessionalism

20/07/2025: We are just back from a return visit to Legan Castle and the five star hospitality that Caroline offers. This time we booked the entire farmhouse and stayed with my family and baby. Caroline is a world class host. From the luxurious bedroom and bathrooms, high end kitchen appliances and equipment, tasteful decor and “country cottage” feel to the stunning gardens and incredible hot tub - it’s really everything you could ask for in a comfortable relaxing trip with family. Caroline is so accomodating and welcoming and always a quick message away from answering any questions. The flower arrangements from her own garden and fridge stocked with essentials were a fantastic touch. Do not hesitate to book, you won’t regret it!

06/07/2025: We had an absolutely wonderful stay in the guest suite, it exceeded all expectations! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully arranged to make us feel right at home. Caroline was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay with the added bonus of Arthur the dog there to give us all the cuddles we needed! We have many highlights from our stay from the most amazing sunrise on our doorstep to relaxing in the hot tub with beautiful views. Highly recommend Legan Castle Farmhouse we hope to return in the future.

18/07/2025: Great food but the waitresses were loudly talking about me in the bar area, very uncomfortable. When I said I could hear them they ignored me. This happened on the 18th of July at half 5

16/07/2025: Food was ordered on Just eat with over 2 hours notice for collection @18:40. It was paid for when ordered. When collecting payment was asked for (€15 less than original payment). I was told it was a phone order - person with the same name and almost identical order for collection at the same time - turned out it was the order, 1 main course was not on it, hence the €15 difference. Had to wait another 15 minutes for the order to be completed. Angel, the manger, tried to blame new staff, and offered 2 bags of chips - no chips were on the original order. It was a very quiet Wednesday evening, would not like to witness the lack of competency on a busy night.

19/07/2025: I'm going to this shop/meat counter since they first opened their doors. Excellent quality food, meat and service. Highly recommend. Very friendly staff and helpful. Good prices.

19/10/2024: D'un point de vue français la façade ferait presque fuir (comme souvent en Irlande) mais il faut pousser la porte, c'est juste parfait à tous points de vue, ambiance, cuisine, rien à redire. J'ai fait beaucoup de pubs / restaurants en Irlande, celui-ci fait partie de mes préférés.

18/06/2025: A fabulous range of goods in the main shop! The restaurant has everything that one needs! Definitely worth a visit, but allow for a few hours!
