08/01/2026: The room was old in a good way! It seemed to have been an old studio apartment from 100+ years ago. The furniture was a bit gaudi, but fine. The bed was great and we slept the best we had in the whole trip. Little things were a miss, but nothing that made us bring down the rating. Service was spot on. The biggest pluss was that the hotel is close to evey attraction.

28/12/2025: I paid €11 for a cold sandwich which was exactly like a meal deal from Tesco, except it was on a plate. Prices are high here but this was a rip off. The bread wasn't even toasted or fresh. All the ingredients tasted like they were bought from a supermarket a few days ago.

28/12/2025: Had a lovely club sandwich and my partner had a sweet chilli panini, he said he loved it. We also had a hot chocolate to share which was very tasty. Overall would highly recommend.

17/11/2025: This bar doesn't need my review. Visit it yourself. Beautiful mix of locals and some foreigners, as the night goes on. There's nothing better than this in Kilkenny, and no better barmen. Thank you guys! 🙏

16/09/2025: If you like it loud, this is the place for you! It was a Friday afternoon. There were only about six men in the bar, but the volume of their conversation was unbelievable. The ambiance was a typical pub.

17/11/2025: A great place for a pint near the train station. The staff was very kind and open, so that's a plus, and the price was totally fine.

27/10/2025: best pub i’ve been to in Ireland so far. Bartender was great, the regulars were so kind, and a great pint of guinness. nothing beats sitting next to the fire and watching curling. highly recommend

06/09/2025: Well presented gift shop that’s not overflowing with generic tat. Nice change for Kilkenny. Eoghan was extremely helpful and pleasant and I can’t recommend the gift shop highly enough.

15/12/2025: We stopped off for coffee and a scone whilst out for a cycle. The owner was very accommodating and took our picture with a lovely lady outside. Well worth a visit

28/08/2025: What a wonderful place Legan Castle farmhouse is . Caroline was so accommodating. The peace & quiet was so amazing for us city folk . The best best ever ! The hot tub amazing ! Location perfect, just mins from thomastown . Our dog is still in a trance ( farmhouse life) thanks again Caroline

20/07/2025: We are just back from a return visit to Legan Castle and the five star hospitality that Caroline offers. This time we booked the entire farmhouse and stayed with my family and baby. Caroline is a world class host. From the luxurious bedroom and bathrooms, high end kitchen appliances and equipment, tasteful decor and “country cottage” feel to the stunning gardens and incredible hot tub - it’s really everything you could ask for in a comfortable relaxing trip with family. Caroline is so accomodating and welcoming and always a quick message away from answering any questions. The flower arrangements from her own garden and fridge stocked with essentials were a fantastic touch. Do not hesitate to book, you won’t regret it!

09/09/2025: Sandra cooked us up a full Irish breakfast (minus black pudding for us). It was very tasty. We went back again the next morning for breakfast sandwiches.

23/12/2025: I only got a chip and a battered sausage but was 10/10 they give you a proper bag of chips few places I went only half fill the bag. Can't wait to try more of there menu.

17/12/2025: Went to Indique in Kilkenny expecting a nice Indian meal. But the flavors were lacking, everything was sweet and tasted nothing like what they’re supposed to. Definitely not for Indian food lovers.
