07/10/2025: A lovely cafe on the banks of the Barrow. We sat out and had coffee and scones, watching the world go by on the river. Nicest scones we’ve had for a long time. Friendly staff too.

17/08/2025: We had a late lunch with our daughter and the staff gave us a very warm welcome. We ordered chicken pad thai and shrimp. It was excellent. The recommendation of the Thai beer to go with it was perfect. We highly recommend it.

The Club House Hotel

02/02/2026: Super quaint and homey hotel that made me feel like it was 20 years ago, but in a good way. Perfect location only minutes away from all the main things to do. The bar was very slow service and the bartender seemed super stressed out. We just ended up leaving as we sat at the hotel bar for nearly 10 minutes without her coming back to take our drink order after I asked for a cocktails menu.
27/01/2026: Clean, comfortable rooms. Not terribly big. We had booked a twin but ended up with a double. There were 3 rooms booked for our party and the heat in all 3 was overpowering upon entry.
Breakfast was an unfortunate let down. Good number of parking spaces out back. Good location to walk into town.

23/02/2026: Great place, with great pubs attached. Friendly staff. It had annoying issue if the key cards being wiped when put next to your phone in your pocket. The staff always were happy to fix it but it was still annoying. But definitely earns its five star rating and cost.

27/08/2025: Myself and my partner had dinner in Statham’s by Pembroke on Saturday night and to say the food was out of this world is an understatement, each course was prepared and served to perfection. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the atmosphere was amazing. This is a top class venue with the most delicious food i have ever eaten can't wait to come back again.

28/11/2025: I had a cesar wrap which was full and very tasty, served with about 8 crisps and tea. My friend had soup which was lovely and hot but a fresh chip, very obvious on a pink bowl..this is NOT ok. We said nothing as didn't see it until nearly finished our food. Staff lovely and not intrusive.

10/02/2026: We originally came for a pizza for two, but ended up being tempted by their cottage pie. A generous portion for only €10 and absolutely delicious. The dessert was just as good. Bonus points for the playlist!
27/01/2026: Had a couple of drinks in the bar. Were originally going to have food, but we're sent upstairs, which was pretty dreary, so came back down and opted for drinks instead. Big screen for matches. Not a lot of atmosphere at 10m on a rainy Saturday.

19/11/2025: This place is an amazing hidden gem. We booked online and really had no idea what we were walking into . We flew in on A Tuesday from the states and we're very pleased with everything. Tish, Trish, and Mags were all very accommodating and extremely helpful with anything at all we needed. The owner was very nice as well. We had a great time at the session down stairs and met new friends there. Loved this place!!!! We stayed a week!!!
