13/07/2025: Beautiful hotel. The grounds are huge. The hotel is stunning. So calm and quiet. Food was absolutely amazing, both the dinner and the breakfast. Service couldn't be at fault. Everyone we had dealt with was very kind and attentive. Will be back for another stay.

This old-school pub exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately made us feel like regulars. The beer was absolutely fantastic - perfectly poured and ice-cold - just what we needed after a long day of exploring Ireland. But what truly sets Hackett's apart is the incredible staff. They were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Their genuine hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable. We had such a blast at Hackett's, laughing, chatting, and soaking in the authentic Irish pub vibe. It's the perfect place to unwind with friends and experience the true spirit of Ireland. We can't wait to return to Hackett's on our next trip to Ireland. It's a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable pub experience!

30/05/2025: Absolutely love this place — and we feel so lucky that it's in my husband’s childhood town, which means a stop here is a must every time we're in Callan. The atmosphere is always so warm and welcoming, and if you catch some live music while you're there, it’s a real treat. I’m always excited to try something new from the menu, the quiches, toasties, and hot pot specials are consistently delicious. My son and his girlfriend rave about the chocolate brownies (they're truly divine), but for me, the standout is the Basque cheesecake, hands down my all-time favourite. Yum! Julia is always wonderfully friendly and happy to have a chat, which makes each visit feel extra special. Can’t wait to stop in again on our next trip to town. And a big bonus — Fennelly’s is dog-friendly, which our four-legged companions really appreciate!

19/07/2025: Venue and atmosphere was nice, staff were welcoming… but the food was below par. We got the chicken wings, pulled pork nachos and crispy chicken which were all recommended. The pulled pork was over cooked and dry, they served sweet chilli sauce as a salsa. The chicken was also over cooked (burnt). Mac and cheese was bland not seasoned at all. I would recommend for a drink but not for food. Sorry Paris Texas 👎
