04/04/2024: So disappointed with our vacation here We had food in the bar first night we arived it was impossible to get attention from staff to take our order for food/drinks, and after finally ordering our food they mixed up the orders and never came back to see was it ok our did we what anything else . Had To go up to the bar to order a drink felt like an inconvenience to them. Tried few times to get true to reception to get an iron dropped up to the room after getting true took at least 40 minutes to drop it up. And for the breakfast got down around 9:15 and was no breakfast stuff available was all gone so ordered pancakes and they never came after waiting 40 minutes. You can tell the owner was here on the morning of our check out the staff actually worked Iv stayed in hostels better that this 5 star hotel

03/04/2024: I would highly recommend Lyrath Estate for a wonderful stay. We stayed in the Manor and the room was gorgeous. The food was so tasty and the thermal suites so relaxing. The staff were fantastic making sure we were well looked after. A special mention and thank you must go to Dermot on Concierge. If only every hotel in Ireland had a Dermot!

10/02/2024: It's a really nice book and coffee shop nestled in a William street, Kilkenny. I had a lovely cuppa and my friend had an americano. They gave me a hot drop too. Plus i went away with a book under my arm. My friend really liked it.

The service was swift, and the ambiance exuded a serene, family-friendly vibe. The menu boasted dishes priced at an exceedingly fair rate. While the flavors didn't quite reach the pinnacle of excellence, they certainly justified their cost. The curry infused within the chicken supreme was a standout, offering a tantalizing burst of flavors. The children's goujons provided a delightful crunch with each bite. As for the mains, the salmon, beef, and lamb were all impeccably prepared, showcasing the chef's mastery in the kitchen. In sum, it was an enjoyable escapade for a swift and satisfying lunchtime indulgence.

23/12/2023: 16 of us went there today for a family lunch. Lovely atmosphere, Friendly relaxed welcome. Menu extensive. Ordering food first class. Service excellent and efficient. Food excellent, well cooked. and presented. Everyone satisfied with everything. Butler's was a nice place to be this afternoon

14/01/2024: Long overdue meet up with some friends held in the Front Room. From walking in the door to walking out, several hours later, a fab night was had! Very friendly staff, clean toilets, cracking pints and a friendly vibe throughout. Cannot wait for a return visit.

01/04/2024: Stayed here for my 30th with the girlfriend, we stayed in a townhouse room, these are located right next to the busy street directly accross 2 busy bars, very loud at night hard to get a sleep for the 3 nights we were there, The walls/glass is very thin and cannot open windows as it is loud enough as it was so room was very uncomfortable espcially at night, cars going up and down revving all night blaring music and people laying up against your bedroom window at night is unacceptable, not a whole lot the hotel can do on this matter but i would still avoid the townhouse rooms alot nicer out there for alot cheaper, the townhouse rooms are very loud at night with music, drunk people outside, cars be aware, Staff are very friendly and breakfast is nice, parking is decent, other areas of the hotel would be alot nicer to stay in i feel

31/03/2024: 4th time there a lovely hotel, hotel is all ways cosy your room is lovely and warm it's nice having a beer on the decking at the river looking at the castle and in walking distance to everything park the car up and enjoy.
