03/09/2025: It's okay.. their products are expensive but it's also good because you can buy all your favorite Asian materials from them.

19/07/2025: I'm going to this shop/meat counter since they first opened their doors. Excellent quality food, meat and service. Highly recommend. Very friendly staff and helpful. Good prices.

21/04/2026: Went for a bite to eat last week while I was traveling through Ireland. I got this place recommended by a Smithwick's Experience employee and he was right! The food was great. We both had the large mixed grill. I had the brisket, ribs and chicken wings. Mac and cheese and onions on the side. My dad had brisket, ribs and pulled pork, mac and cheese and mushrooms on the side. We loved everything we ordered. The meat was tender and flavourful, the mac and cheese was nice and creamy, the onions were crispy. The staff was lovely and very welcoming. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful evening. Our condolences to the staff and owner regarding recent tragedy. Our hearts go out to you.

20/04/2026: This place is so cool and well decorated inside, food is unbelievable, 5 different meals on the table and they were unreal! I would recommend the Hake and the Fried Ice Cream!

18/01/2026: Just one of the loveliest cafes in the region. Food is amazing and the Kombucha is homemade! Great atmosphere!

16/10/2025: Wedding Venue of our dreams!! Wow! I can’t recommend the Avalon highly enough! Laura is a phenomenal wedding organiser who listens to your vision and brings it to life! She feels like a friend straight away who is fully invested in the day! Peter and Laura then make sure the day runs perfectly, remaining calm and positive throughout! The Avalon is the perfect place for a private wedding where you are the priority for the whole hotel! They could not have been more supportive! I can’t thank them enough for the most perfect day! All of our guests loved it commenting on the gorgeous food, friendly staff and homely rooms!

15/03/2026: Very disappointed. The bar has a sign that says "we're an allergy aware place", but when I asked if they had gluten free beer, they don't anymore. The first waiter I talked to told me to "go to the Left Bank as they have some", I wasn't impressed. The bar manager then told me he had some cider instead. So, because I'm coeliac, I can't have a beer and need to adapt to whatever is available for me. I wanted to go and see an Irish trad session tomorrow evening for Paddy's night, I'll go somewhere else then. Extremely disappointing, I feel let down. You have loads of options for vegetarians and vegans, but not that many for coeliac, even though it's a disease and not a choice!

05/03/2026: Went in for a drink , did not have any food so cant comment on that , very nice place to have a drink, not much seating so you have to go early

15/04/2026: We recently had the good fortune to meet Alan and experience the amazing hospitality at the Otter when visiting on a 3 generational girls trip. The first night was a local potluck of sorts and we were invited to join. We didn’t have anything to share but that was no bother! The other patrons were also extremely friendly and so we went back for the music on Sunday. What talent! Complete with 3 pub dogs and good beer on tap, the Otter is not to be missed. We will surely recommend it to friends if they ar etraveling in the area and it’s also a good reason to to back to Ireland :)

28/11/2025: Had the best time. Shoutout to Mia and her father. The Otter Bar was a highlight of my trip while traveling Ireland. We originally stopped in for a bite to eat but ended up getting take out delivered to the bar from another village. “The people of Inistioge are hungry!” I’ll cherish the memories. Spice bags and Sláinte!
