09/12/2025: This bar is part of the Hibernian Hotel, where we stayed for two nights. The atmosphere is very nice, warm, and elegant. We spent a pleasant evening drinking beer and listening to live music. The next day we stopped for lunch, and I have to say the food was really good, albeit quite expensive.

16/12/2025: We always love coming here. The food is great and people are friendly. Once in a while service is a little slow but not as bad as some places. Definitely recommend this place to eat dine in or out :-)

23/11/2025: Said I'D ret this place again and boy it didn't disappoint,the pizza small criticism not enough cheese on the pizza but the pizza is huge,also the spaghetti Bolognese is 10/10 must be a new chef I don't know but hats off to him,it's a little bit expensive but what I mentioned would literally feed 2 with left overs,if you want and Italian take away or sit in this is the place also if you ask for a tin of the Bolognese sauce they give a large tin free of charge and it's absolutely beautiful I'll never go to another Italian ,saying that I have t being in Italian connection in years that's used to be my fav but very small portion and expensive aswell but at the time very good aswell nice for a date out. Best of luch primo and keep this chef he obviously knows his stuff just a little bit more cheese on the pizza and 100%

12/09/2025: Lovely dinner. Especially liked the samosas. They were fantastic. But all of the food was really good.

24/08/2025: Was very disappointed with the service from the Staff. Our server was inattentive, and we had to wait a long time for our food. We came with kids and staffs do not want us to be in. All people should be treated equally,I hope you will address this issue."

08/01/2026: We had our wedding at the New Park in November 2025. Having booked the Hotel almost two years in advance there was always someone to contact along the way with any questions. While there was some minor changes in staff along the way the process never changed and replacements settled seamlessly. The reception, meal, service and facilities including pool and open spaces were second to none with assistance available at all stages from the extremely helpful staff. Mr Flynn himself was often present when we visited and it defined their marketing as a 'Family Run Hotel'. Thank you for having us, Darragh and Katie.

03/01/2026: Positives 1. Staff all professional and friendly 2. Lovely pool and spa area. 3. Lovely Christmas decorations in the lobby. 4. Activities for kids. Negatives 1. Outdated and needs a refurbishment 2. Worst breakfast I have had in a Hotel. Was like hospital cafeteria food. 3. Room 220 is beside the life so you here the motor going every time some one uses the lift. 4. The air con wasn't working proper in the room and the bathroom floods when you use the shower.

23/11/2025: I ordered food via Just Eat… ordered accepted, got the message ready for collection and when arrived to pick up the food was not there and I had to wait 40 min to figure that they forgot to prepare my food, I decided to wait as the attendant said they would prioritise, then another 25 minutes and guess??? They forgot again and this time didn’t even apologise and said if you wanna cancel go ahead… horrible customer experience… the food might be delicious but the customer experience is one of the poorest I have ever experienced.

13/11/2025: We've ordered here for years but recently the quality of the food has taken a nose dive. The chicken and prawns are so rubbery they're inedible. Really disappointing for the price.

30/09/2025: While visiting my friend in Ireland for the first time, we went to The Steppes Bar. The bar was exactly what I was hoping for and exactly what I expected. Just a great atmosphere when you walk in there. I was greeted with open arms from the owners, Alice and Eddie, and the rest of the locals. If you are ever in the area, stop by for a visit and tell them James sent you 😉.

10/11/2025: Everything from start to finish was excellent. Waiter was brilliant 👏 food delicious and great value. Location so central snd overall atmosphere was really great. 👌 can't wait to return. Highly recommend.

22/10/2025: What a fantastic experience at Grapevine Kilkenny! The atmosphere was warm and lively, the service friendly and attentive, and the food absolutely delicious. We tried several dishes, but the highlight for us was definitely the paella — perfectly cooked, full of fresh seafood, rich flavours, and that authentic Spanish touch that made us feel like we were on holiday. The tapas were all beautifully presented and bursting with taste, especially the prawns with chorizo and the patatas bravas. The wine list is impressive too, with great Spanish options that pair perfectly with the food. The staff were so kind, taking the time to recommend both dishes and wines, which really made our evening special. A wonderful place to relax, enjoy amazing food, and soak up the great vibe. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back soon!

26/08/2025: Consistently good chips and very polite service. Wonderful aroma of curry in the shop - haven’t had the pleasure yet but will definitely give it a go soon. Totally recommend their salad burger and quarter pounder. Pizzas are very good too. Very reasonably priced which is a plus! Shop is walk-in rather than sit-in type. Be prepared to wait 10 minutes for food as everything is cooked fresh to order.

10/01/2026: Great location, food was excellent and there is lovely old stone work in the bar. My only complaint was I ordered a rare steak and it was more medium but the flavour was there. The chips were beautiful, cooked in beef dripping. Pepper sauce perfect and salad was fresh, really lovely dinner. Full Irish was good although egg was overcooked. There was also smoked salmon cheeses and cold meats, good juice and coffee. Can't fault my stay here, I reccomend this hotel.

06/11/2025: The baristas are really friendly and make excellent coffee! The atmosphere is also fantastic. Especially if you sit upstairs, you can just switch off and enjoy your coffee in peace and quiet.

02/11/2025: Great place to chill. Awesome to have lovely well behaved dogs welcome. Staff friendly and great coffee. Setup meand tables are a bit close together and clamped. Toilet is upstairs, just a little challenging for an elderly family member.
