06/08/2025: While passing through Graiguenamanagh, we found this superb takeaway restaurant. The vegetarian dish with vegetables was the best I've ever eaten and the dahl was excellent and in good quantities ! We love Indian cuisine and eat there regularly, but we've never eaten so well ! A big thank you for the warm welcome and for this great place. Go there with your eyes closed, thank you from Switzerland !

30/09/2025: While visiting my friend in Ireland for the first time, we went to The Steppes Bar. The bar was exactly what I was hoping for and exactly what I expected. Just a great atmosphere when you walk in there. I was greeted with open arms from the owners, Alice and Eddie, and the rest of the locals. If you are ever in the area, stop by for a visit and tell them James sent you 😉.

23/09/2024: Fui aquí a cenar y tomé sopa del día que era de puerro y patatas y para principal tuve pollo. No se molestó con el postre. Realmente disfruté de la comida. El personal es encantador. El servicio es rápido y el lugar está muy limpio. También hay un ambiente relajante encantador allí. Está a solo unos minutos a pie del centro de la ciudad de Kilkenny. Lo recomendaría a cualquiera y volvería a ir de nuevo.

24/08/2025: Was very disappointed with the service from the Staff. Our server was inattentive, and we had to wait a long time for our food. We came with kids and staffs do not want us to be in. All people should be treated equally,I hope you will address this issue."

19/09/2025: This is truly a hidden gem, minutes from city centre that provides accommodations, but also excellent food!! Staff were ALL friendly and helpful, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere 5/5 Definitely recommend this gem!!!

29/10/2025: Beautiful home-made, wholesome food served. Cafe is small, but quaint,with outdoor seating also. Lovely atmosphere in cafe & memorabilia of the 'Shoe Makers Shop' which was the original use of the nostalgic building. Some very nice pottery on display here too from the local Grennan Craft School. Definitely worth a visit 🥪🍜😋👩‍🍳

23/09/2025: What a great wee place! We popped in here on our way from Tipperary to Wexford, and were greeted with a smile, friendliness, and given tons of time even though they were very busy. The sandwiches we had were so tasty, fresh, warm, delicious, and the coffee cake was the best my wife has had! It was so good, we stopped in again on our way home, and was once more welcomed and had a delicious lunch. It’s about 2 hours away from us and we are talking about how we’d go back just for this cafe. Would throughly recommend if you’re in the area!

27/09/2025: Went for lunch. The best thing I could say about this place is that it was absolutely "fine". Here's my thoughts: Menu was quite limited ans was basically pub grub with the odd brunch item. Mainly sandwiches and soup although the soup didn't offer any vegetarian options just chicken. No baby change facilities we had to bring our baby to the pub next door and as the disabled toilet was engaged we ended up changing her on a couch in the back of the pub. Really unacceptable this day in age for a cafe/restaurant not to have adequate changing facilities. We ordered and were waiting approx 30 mins for a chicken wrap and eggs Benedict...which was warm at best. Food was ok, but the side salad looked and tasted like it came from a bag. The staff were friendly, but it has to be said they were v slow...the place was far from busy and they weren't exactly rushed off their feet. It took 15 mins for my coffee to be served. The cocktails did look decent,so maybe it's more suited to that kind of a vibe. We won't be going back for food any time soon. Price was also quite steep for what we received...like I said, a dressed up pub lunch. Management really need to address the baby changing situation given the large accessible toilet in the back. There's more than enough room to install a changing table!

14/10/2025: Rather over-priced café. Nice mezzanine space over looking main street. Friendly staff. Cramped toilet space. Upstairs venue so not wheelchair or child buggy friendly.

08/10/2025: Upstairs in the book centre. You have to wait to be seated. Fantastic menu here, I went for the fry yum yum. Staff are friendly and food excellent

19/10/2025: Brilliant pizza restaurant with delicious pizzas and helpfully stuff.

19/10/2025: Avoid at all cost , untrained staff, most ignorant manager. I rang gave my eir code then for my food to be send to a different address saved on their system. Later I was called by the delivery driver to confirm my address , took a further 30minutes to come to the correct address. Pizza come frozen. Rang back for a new staff member who hadn’t a clue what to do and no manager on duty. I asked for a refund she agreed then didn’t know how to use the machine. I then asked could she send me a fresh one she said she didn’t know how to do this but yes and she will try make it so I don’t get charged again…? I asked does she need the old pizza back she told me no I can throw it out. 35minutes later I get a call saying her manager has informed her she needs the pizza back. Then I get a phone call from a high and mighty manager saying they don’t refund and won’t be delivering the pizza unless the other one is there to be collected. I then told her that her staff had told me they don’t take it back and to throw it out. Manager very passive aggressive ended up hanging up on me. Pizza got delivered and shock freezing cold again . I feel sorry for the girl on shift it’s not her fault , shitty management for leaving her without full training.
