24/10/2025: I was only in the restaurant for a coffee. The atmosphere is very pleasant, beautifully decorated, and cozy. Good service.

07/10/2025: A lovely cafe on the banks of the Barrow. We sat out and had coffee and scones, watching the world go by on the river. Nicest scones we’ve had for a long time. Friendly staff too.

01/04/2026: I’ve been coming to Jarrow Café for quite a while now and it’s been great to see how much it has come on over the past couple of years. The quality has really improved and there’s a great consistency now, which makes it an easy choice when we’re in Castlecomer Discovery Park. The coffee is always spot on, and the addition of Off Beat Donuts has been a big hit in our house. The kids love the pizzas, and it’s one of those places that works for everyone — whether you’re just grabbing a coffee or sitting down for a bite. Nice touch as well being able to enjoy a glass of wine or a beer every now and then. We also visited Santa’s Magical Village last year and it was genuinely incredible — you can see the effort and care that goes into it. Delighted to see the place doing so well now — well worth a visit if you’re in the park.

20/06/2026: Found exactly what I was looking for with a chill pub outside the city center. A city self park is across the street. As soon as i walked in I knew this was a hang for me. The bar was chill with a community feel. Mostly men were gathered watching Hurling on the TV. There is also an adjacent too. I got a pint of Guinness at the bar. The bartender was friendly enough and price was good at under 8 euro. Fantastic tasting brew. It's a solid pub in Kildare.

05/08/2026: Easy parking and good selection of produce and food. Went in to see if I could buy a Wedding card and they had a few good ones. Prices weren’t bad. Only draw back is they don’t accept AMEX.

08/08/2026: I ordered pizza tonight 2 hours ago and it didn’t even show up and proceeded to close with my order still in process. Dont get delivery or else it sucks as they always leave out toppings and all.

06/09/2026: Dirtiest I've ever come across. Bins overflowing inside..every table is dirty and toilets dirty.. Too busy with orders to clean the place.. Disgrace.. Oh and miles from the motorway . Eat elsewhere.
