The best restaurants in Kilkenny

13/04/2025: When the new owners moved in a few months back their standards were high but recently it’s dropped off the planet. The fresh cod was top notch with a light crisp batter and you could taste the fish. Today I got a fresh cod and I honestly don’t know what to make of it. The fish is brown and rubbery. What a fall from grace

25/05/2025: Open 24 hours which was great as we were late to arrive to the area, busy but wasn't waiting too long for our order, everything was out into the bags and food tasted good. Plenty of parking spaces.

21/03/2025: Muy buena comida y personal amable. Teníamos pescado con patatas fritas, hamburguesas de carne y la carne de res hoja de plumas y todo estaba delicioso!

26/02/2025: Fue a tomar una pinta rápida y un bocado para comer para el almuerzo. Tengo la envoltura de chorizo de pollo. Vino con papas fritas y ensalada. Opté por la ensalada, pero por lo que tengo que era un gran valor y sabroso. No puedo recordar exactamente pero creo que fueron las 11: 50 . Volvería.

20/04/2025: Due to the low quality of food served when the manager Ginka previous rude blonde now dark haired lady i would advise people to go to mc Donald's as a regular customer here I can say the quality is hit or miss but it has become a miss now 90% of the time it's rare to get a quality meal which are not cheap I believe they make thousands in profit in the drive through by not giving you everything you paid for You will need to bring your own cleaning equipment because hygiene standards are low from the lobby tables not being cleaned to the toilets being filthy I have lost all hope in this place As a fan of KFC I would advise going to a different restaurant where your money is not wasted the trouble is they get it together for 2 or 3 months then it's back to rubbish fix your managers get it together ill try again in 3 months if I have another bad experience I'll be emailing HQ before you drag the KFC brand into to the gutter. 08/04/2025: Got the order wrong and obviously substituted olives I requested for extra jalapino which made the pizza inedible for me as it overpowered the whole taste so my husband ate it after removing half the chilli. There was even chilli under the cheese. Please read the customer's order and don't substitute something spicy that will kill the taste. This was a 2nd chance pizza after getting one last year which wasn't great but we were giving a another go. Won't come back.

05/04/2025: Great service, friendly staff, hot fresh food. Extensive menu with something for everyone. Delivery service is the best in kilkenny, only chipper that I have ordered from that delivers within the timeframe that is given and when the food arrives, it’s hot and the order is correct. Wouldn’t go anywhere else when thinking of burgers and chips.

25/05/2025: Restaurant is very nicely decorated, staff are friendly and efficient, but just my opinion the food wasn't nice and not impressed with the menu, much preferred the old menu much more choice. Portions a lot smaller and very expensive for what you get. I won't be rushing back unfortunately and I always loved Mario's 😔

18/05/2025: Absolutely fantastic food. I got the Butternut chicken burger. Seriously, best burger that I ever ate. I got Takeaway, but there is a sit down and Order Diner.
