Mayflower in Kilkenny

20/04/2026: This place deserves to be 5 stars! Went recently to the sit down side with my wife. Previously had the takeaway and always found the chips high quality. They recently have renovated the interior and can see they spent a lot on it! It’s clean, modern and has a great atmosphere. Staff are super friendly and food was served promptly and hot. Our meal was reasonably priced, well portioned and fresh quality ingredients. The only negative I can think of is that the food needed more seasoning. Anyone used of highly salted takeaways might think the food is on the bland side - be prepared to add your own salt! Overall I was very happy and would recommend. Bonus points for having a Guinness tap

31/01/2026: Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Very clean. Ordered a Chicken King meal. Was good. Chips could be a little hotter and chispy chicken was more soggy than crispy. Way better than last time I was here.
