19/01/2026: Joe’s is a wonderful takeaway. The food is delicious, the chicken goujons in particular are the best I’ve had. They also do really tasty potato scallops and the potions are very generous. The staff are very friendly too. It’s definitely worth a visit if you are close by.

23/10/2025: There is a female manager there that is very rude. She spoiled your time there, when you just want to have a coffe and a moment of peace, as she is constantly angry and screaming at her staff. I saw her staff, mostly young people, being over stressed and one was with tears, I assume is not a nice place to work for.

24/09/2025: Food is soooo tasty, we loved the black bean sauce curry with egg fried rice. The sweet and sour soup was a little too sour but everything else was absolutely delicious.

30/07/2025: Have had the pleasure of eating here twice over a few days. Brunch/Breakfast on a busy Saturday... pancakes excellent with bacon and maple syrup. And a kids portion of Nutella pancakes all went down a treat We had beetroot and avocado toast which was lovely could have eaten more. Was nearby for lunch on a second occasion and the food didn't disappoint. Burger and fries where tasty. Kids sliders and chips went down a treat. Missed out on dessert as it was closing time. Coffee was good. Both occasions staff where very nice and friendly service was quick. Will be back!

24/07/2025: Had the most amazing birthday breakfast for my wife at Doppio’s and couldn’t fault a single thing. The staff were warm, welcoming, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and special. We ordered the full Irish and the blueberry pancakes both were absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked, great quality ingredients, and full of flavour. The pancakes especially were a real hit fluffy, fresh, and packed with blueberries! I’ve also had lunch here in the past, and the steak sandwich still stands out as one of the best I’ve ever had served on a rustic baguette, packed with flavour, and cooked just right. Consistently great food, lovely atmosphere, and fantastic service. Highly recommend Doppio’s it’s a gem! 👏🍳🥩🫐

08/03/2026: Ah the place was buzzing sure. Went on my annual trip to Paulstown from London and stumbled across a burger king. Love that place me. The whopper was scintillating. Great borger. Took a while to get it due to sheer size of the place. Heard the local derby was on, so reasonable enough I suppose. 😁😀👊

22/12/2025: I went for lunch today with my daughter and asked for club sandwich on sourdough as opposed to bagel with chips to share and my daughter had goats cheese quiche. Tea for 2 came as did my daughters food. Mine came on a bagel so I refused but the person who took the order said i never asked for sourdough but I had as I don't do bagels unless with cream cheese and bacon My daughter had her food eaten and tea drank but my food never appeared ad the chips we were to share never appeared either. A disaster, very poor service and I would have expected that when a mistake is made its rectified immediately but obviously not here.

20/02/2026: What a lovely find on our first trip to Kilkenny. The restaurant and bar were beautiful, service from Val was brilliant and the food was delightful particularly the chowder along with the Chilean Sauvignon.

27/01/2026: I was there today for lunch on my break as i work in town and i had a chicken wings which were absolutely savage. Very tasty and messy as they were covered in nice BBQ sauce with bacon and crispy onions. Nice big portion as i took it as main course with chips and side salad. So overall great food super nice service and good atmosphere in the bar. Would recommend to anyone

22/12/2025: best coffe shop in my opinion. whote mocha has a strong coffee taste while being creamy and a little sweet. muffins and and toasts are superb ❤️❤️

12/10/2025: Me and a friend brought our 2 small girls for afternoon tea yesterday afternoon. The room is beautifully done out. Loved the Alice in Wonderland themed afternoon tea. Would like more savory options, as these were very tasty and some things were overly sweet. However this is probably the way with all afternoon teas. Service was very good, waiter was very friendly.

27/07/2025: We visited this tea room with high hopes — hoping to have a lovely time and enjoy some nice desserts. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointment. All the desserts were far too sweet. The cakes had a heavy buttercream, which I really didn’t enjoy. The Pavlova dessert had an overbaked, dry meringue. Overall, it just wasn’t worth the money

14/03/2026: Only good thing about the chipper was the atmosphere cos JR was rolling a few up outside. Me and Shkippy shared a pizza. There were 3 dead mice on top of the pizza.

27/12/2025: The place was nicely decorated inside and clean looking. Service was nice. There was a guy behind the counter I think he might have been a manger or owner and he was lovely and kind of had a good vibe with other staff, which I appreciate. The food was very mediocre. I got an iced coffee which was ok. Kids got hot chocolates, which were average and a bit watery. The biggest let down was the wafer. In a place like that I would expect a freshly made wafer (esp.for €9), this was a hard store bought wafer heated in a microwave, no doubt. And even at that I don't think it was a good quality store-bought one. They sell the exact same ones in Lidl. We also got a cookie which was fine, but no fireworks. Paid €27 for a coffee, two hot chocs, cookie and wafer. Not a robbery and if the quality was good I would have thought it was an ok value. But it all tasted cheap and like if no effort was put in it. Overally, would not return.
