25/09/2025: I flew into the Ormonde this morning on my way to work to purchase a cup of coffee and had the absolute pleasure of meeting Jack who went out of his way to make the experience as pleasant as possible. He brought me out to the lounge and made a coffee which could only be described as a 10/10. His customer service goes above and beyond the expectation of 7 am 🥰

24/09/2025: Stay elsewhere. We did not use our shower during our stay because it looked like someone has urinated there. Carpets are full of stains. Front desk staff was apathetic. For €300+ we expected at least clean rooms.

01/09/2025: We had a lovely time at the lemongrass restaurant in Kilkenny yesterday! Visiting Kilkenny from Manchester, we definitely recommend this nice restaurant. Such a wonderful location and a very nice clean restaurant, the host June was so welcoming & friendly, our waiter was Ollie, he served us and did such a great job! He was friendly and helpful, ensuring we enjoyed our meal and time at lemongrass! Ollie recommended some delicious dishes to us, food was yum & a very good service overall and hope to come back again soon

22/08/2025: I had the pleasure of being looked after by Ellie at the Kilkenny store … To say she just a lovely person is an understatement.. She was just so polite and went above and beyond to be just a happy helpful person .. I wasn’t having the best day but to say her kindness and being a genuine nice person really turned what was a disasterous day around… thanks so much ..

07/06/2025: Great atmosphere in this pub with pleasant staff. I visited recently and had an extremely enjoyable evening. Everyone was so welcoming, staff so helpful and a very clean pub over all !!! Will be going back for sure !

27/07/2025: We visited this tea room with high hopes — hoping to have a lovely time and enjoy some nice desserts. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointment. All the desserts were far too sweet. The cakes had a heavy buttercream, which I really didn’t enjoy. The Pavlova dessert had an overbaked, dry meringue. Overall, it just wasn’t worth the money

06/07/2025: I lloved atmosphere here. You csn feel tradition and history Staff is so friendly, carrot cake is not home made but very good. Highly recommend.

29/06/2025: Had a very poor experience in Bridie’s. Went in for brunch and were waiting about 5 minutes to be acknowledged by the man making coffees behind the counter. We decided to sit outside as the weather was nice. The outdoor facilities are extremely run down. The table decor was old and rusty and the “booth” we sat in could have done with a power wash. After about 10 minutes nobody approached us to take our order and I had not seen a single server. I returned to the front entrance to ask the man if I order at the counter or if somebody would be down to take our order. He apologised and said he would sent someone down to us. We eventually place our orders and waited. Our drinks arrived and were given a Coke Zero instead of a regular coke and my coffee was spilled all over the saucer. The waitress apologised and said she would be back with a napkin to clean it up (she never returned). The food was poorly presented- the eggs Benedict tasted fine but was nothing special. The breakfast hash had barely any sausage or black pudding in it and the potatoes cubes were undercooked, borderline still raw. The staff seemed very inexperienced and unsupported. The food and atmosphere was very poor. Overall a very poor experience.

16/09/2025: The bar was lovely with great service on 9/15. The tenders- buffalo style were better than the ones I had in Buffalo. Great bar- T&G ! After a mediocre experience and an awful experience in nearby restaurants it was a pleasure to have a great experience here for dinner.

15/07/2025: Perfect central location in Kilkenny. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The building is charming. The rooms were spacious, though a bit outdated.

19/08/2025: Had a fabulous light lunch on the patio area. Signature steak sandwich, coffee and pear and almond scone. Can only say good things about the waitresses - jovial and patient. Food was excellent, pricing good and arrived promptly. A great little cafe above the strip so quiet and secluded with a lovely atmosphere. Coffee- flat white 8.5/10 - very good. A nice place to rest your legs after visiting the Castle or climbing St Canice’s tower.

07/09/2025: Friendly staff and ample seating available. There is also drive through which was quite busy.

06/09/2025: Ordered thru just eat to kilkenny hospital. Delivery was 100%, on time and even found me in an akward area. Mcdonalds on the other hand left me a burger short and sent the wrong dips. 2025 and people can't read an order correctly is crazy!!!

12/09/2025: Fish and chips was good, though even if the menu mention peas (and past pictures shows them), i was served a plate with no peas. The server said they dont do that anymore. A good service would have mention that before placing the order and offer some other replacement beforehand. I would have avoided the review but when i said "bye have a nice day" and ive received no answers, and felt rushed out, it was clear to me that the service is just bad.

06/09/2025: Lovely place for food lovely staff

12/09/2025: i was having a really bad day today, but then iwent to supervalu ballyragget...it got even worse, i was on the brink and then i came in here and it pushed me over the edge, first i watched thru the doors and strolled to the deli, i asked for a chicken fillet roll and he got that, grand, i then proceeded to ask for egg mayo and he then proceeded to smack the egg mayo on the roll like he was trying to stick it to the wall, he then put the fillet in. he just put the fillet in, without even cutting it, i had to go home and cut it myself and preform the surgery on the roll there, not even cutting in half either, was absolute madness. I wonder had the man every seen a chicken fillet roll in his life

22/06/2025: Sister had day two of wedding in beer garden .we had great night with great music.bar man was one ignorant man.daughter asked for hit water to heat a baby bottle to be told .this is not a café its a bar.i asked for two drinks just before they finishen 10.55 he refused me.told me im looking at you for another hour.how he still working there with his bad attitude is beyond me.pity because its a fine pub.

24/05/2025: Very ignorant, power tripping, condescending male manager/owner in the back beer garden when approaching paying complying customers. There is a way to talk to people but small man syndrome is an awful thing. plenty pubs In Kk, avoid here

11/09/2025: Absolutely delicious! Not greasy, not overfried. Just really good! We had the munchbox A and the black bean sauce with beef and rice.

27/06/2025: hi all..really enjoyed food here .. The restaurant is back open again. It has a great selection of suhi and also oriental food..no drink licence there yet..so allowed bring your own..service excellent..we will definitely eat there again..highly recommend..
