19/06/2025: Great staff and everything you could need.

16/06/2025: Was having a really bad day today. Until I went into SuperValu in Ballyragget. I’m pretty sure the chap on the till was Jason. He was genuinely lovely to the two people ahead of me and was equally lovely to me too. A kind word and a lovely smile changed the trajectory of my whole day. 10/10 for you Jason and we’ll done to the HR team that hired him. He was a young man with a very impressive beard (description given in case I got his name wrong) 😂

09/06/2025: Extremely friendly staff and so so welcoming . Food is always very good and the black pudding is a must try. Great spot 😁

23/05/2025: Good decent fresh fish and great chips, plenty of other selections like burgers, etc too. Very friendly and quite busy spot, which is a great indicator for consistent quality.

04/06/2025: stopped by early in the morning before a race to fuel and it was a great decision! they had vegan pastries available and even a vegan pork roll. had we had more time in Kilkenny, this place would have been an easy repeat!

30/05/2025: Sadly the only saving grace to Paddy's was the lady who served us. We were the only customers and I think that is generally the case during the day. I'm sure this was a fine place for food and drink in it's day but sadly no longer the case. Nice spot for quiet drink but not for food.

12/05/2025: Había pasado por este pub muchas veces y siempre el exterior pintoresco encantador, pero estaba demasiado ocupado para llamar. Finalmente lo hice y chico no me decepcionó. El interior es agradable e íntimo y estaba lleno de gente local, siempre una buena señal. La comida es propiamente irlandesa sana, no pretenciosa pero de gran calidad, porciones generosas y de precio muy agudo. Hablé con un granjero local y me dijo que no mejorarías en esta zona. Hows que para una recomendación. El personal estaba bajo presión, pero lo manejó muy bien y estaban teniendo grandes bromas con los lugareños, muy cómodos en compañía de los demás. me encantó haberme alojado para algunas de esas pintas cremosas, pero tenía que ir. Volveré, tal vez almuerzo y pintas con algunos amigos.

07/04/2025: I wish I could rate this business higher because they are kind enough to let you order before your Kilkenny tour and pick up after. The food was very bland. I got a pulled pork and it had no flavor. Perhaps I chose the wrong dish. However, my husband's sandwich did not look too much more appetizing.

25/03/2025: Pedimos 6 sándwiches para nuestra familia para disfrutar en el parque y estaban buenos. Pedimos sándwiches de verduras y queso, así como jamón y queso y un BLT. Los sándwiches eran grandes y estaban emparejados con papas fritas y una bebida, todos estaban contentos.

15/06/2025: Delicious food with very fast service and very warm members. We went in for Early bird to taste the Tapas, meatballs, chilli con and chorizo potatoes with chilli all were very delicious. Will visit again.

12/06/2025: Went for dinner , the selection of tapas was great , food was really good. was my first time been there i have walked past it so many times really glad I went in. Will definitely go back in again.

20/05/2025: Hard to know where to begin. So I will start by saying that: The staff in this place (excluding the manageress) have an absolute disgusting manner and bad attitude in general. Customer skills are almost practically non existent. The 2 female waitresses (1 Romanian, 1 Irish ) on the floor should honestly just quit working in hospitality altogether. Because they just haven't a clue how to deal with customers properly, professionally, and in an appropriate way. Avoid this place altogether if you do not wish to deal with an environment that is permeated with bad manners, insincerity, and a hostile environment where staff are concerned.

15/07/2025: Perfect central location in Kilkenny. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The building is charming. The rooms were spacious, though a bit outdated.

13/06/2025: This hotel is probably one of the best hotels we have stayed in. It is the third hotel in this group we have stayed in. The room was amazing, comfortable, beautifully designed, clean and quiet at night. I could not fault it. The breakfast was amazing. It did not have lots of variety but what was there was very good. The porridge was very nice and I often don't like porridge. The manager was friendly and supportive of new staff and all other staff. It was clear she worked closely with them and I am sure it was valued. There was all female staff serving breakfast. We had one evening meal in Ember and it is this experience which really upset me personally and translated into three stars for me. All the staff were male who worked in the evening. It was clear that one staff member needed extra support as they must have just started working at your hotel, but during our meal he just appeared left out, ignored and overlooked by the manager. I felt for him and what it must have done for his confidence. The evening manager made limited effort to support, encourage or just make him feel included. This was in direct contrast to what happened in the morning at breakfast. Everyone needs to learn and the evening experience was a totally negative one. How can he ever learn in such an environment. If I was this man who was learning I would not return but if he does it would be good if he has a better experience from now on. I don't want to witness negative treatment of staff while I am eating or anywhere else. This impacted greatly on my overall experience.

25/06/2025: We ordered the munch box and it was really good. simple yet the ingredients are fresh and the flavor was really nice. Best paired with some beers for a really nice movie night ❤️

07/06/2025: Great atmosphere in this pub with pleasant staff. I visited recently and had an extremely enjoyable evening. Everyone was so welcoming, staff so helpful and a very clean pub over all !!! Will be going back for sure !
