Royal Spice Indian Restaurant in Kilkenny

Love this place. Every time we travel from Dublin it's number 1 for us. Best food and drink in town. Lovely guy served us today. Shaharia recommended the red wine also. Lovely house cabernet sauvignon.

Very nice, quaint restaurant and the young man serving is very professional and courteous and a credit to the owners. The food was ok. I know Indian food should be spicy but it was overpowering. I was unable to eat it knowing it would later upset my stomach. There was nice flavour there and it was a pity to have to leave it.

Briyani is the worst,like rice mixed with chilli powder ,not a real briyani prepared with spices. Butter Naan and chicken tikka is fine.

Really nice food and service. The waiters were extremely accommodating and nothing felt like too much for them. It was arts week when we went and they were still fantastic even though the restaurant was full.

This has now made it into my top 3 Indians in Ireland. Hi praise indeed, as I'm very fussy about my Indian food. Meat(lamb) was cooked perfectly, not fatty in the least and the sauce was perfectly spiced(not bland like some places). All in all, a wonderful dining experience and it seems family owned which I feel adds to the relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended 💯👍🏻

Very friendly staff and authentic Indian cusine. Tasty dishes and sides! Really nice if you want a break from pub food.

Had a great dinner at Royal Spice. Top service. They went the extra mile to make our dinner special. Appetizers like tandoori prawns and lamb were presented very elegantly. Our waiter recommended the Lamb Balti for main and the sauce was delicious. Keep some Naan bread on hand for dipping! Definitely try a Mango lassee drink if you like sweet yogurt and fruit. We also had an herbal tea which was a very good flavor. Highly recommend this place. And it’s open later than most places in Kilkenny (10pm when we were there).
