Primo in Kilkenny

I remember visiting this restaurant about a year ago, and everything was absolutely amazing back then. Unfortunately, my experience today left me quite disappointed. I ordered the shrimp salad, but it has definitely gone downhill. Last time, the portion of shrimp was generous, but today there were barely any. The service was also frustrating. While the food was served quickly, the staff completely ignored me afterward. I sat there for 50 minutes after finishing my meal, hoping to order dessert, but nobody ever came back to my table. In the end, I just paid for my initial order and left. Because of the poor service and the drop in food quality, I can only give it 3 stars this time, even though I used to love this place.

Excellent lunch. I wanted some off-menu ravioli and was perfectly satisfied. The waitress,was very knowledgeable and very kind. The pasta was excellent, and I ordered a Crodino and an ice cream that made my day. Thank you, Primo Italian Restaurant! Highly recommended!

Beautiful food and great service

We order from here regularly. It’s so hit and miss. This evening my pizza was undercooked with way too much cheese and then no flavour. Very disappointing

A friendly italian venue fresh pasta delights

Got a table without booking , very busy but great service. We were a party of 4 adults, our starters were both delicious and huge. Main course was to die for , we all had a different dish and were more than happy. Price was reasonable. Only down side was we were seated at the back near a very big window and it was a little cold. Granted it was cold outside too.

Was there last night with my wife 20/12/2025. Food was first class 10/10 , absolutely superb. Can't wait to go back.

We always love coming here. The food is great and people are friendly. Once in a while service is a little slow but not as bad as some places. Definitely recommend this place to eat dine in or out :-)
