Paris Texas Bar & Smokehouse in Kilkenny

We all (2 adults and 3 children under 10) really enjoyed it.

FISH and CHIPS 🍟🐟 Traditional dish included! It's called Cod on the menu! Very good, tasty, crispy fries, just right for the sun! Served with garlic sauce, salad, and peas. The fish was delicious, the breading didn't overpower its flavor (it wasn't heavy). I recommend it! Eating it in a hurry, we asked for takeaway! We got boxes and off we went :) Nice place, first part pub! The restaurant part is in the back! Drank two great beers, one light and one dark, one of which was a local beer from Kilkenny 🍺 Free water

Excellent food and a wonderful venue, both for eating and drinking while listening to live music.

It's a really nice place in Kilkenny. We went here for dinner and were really pleased. The restaurant has an interesting American-style decor, a bit like a classic American bar and smokehouse. There's plenty of space, the interior has its own character, and we also really enjoyed the pleasant patio. The service was very friendly, welcoming, and smiling, and above all, everything was served promptly. We didn't have to wait long for our food. We ordered fish and chips with peas and salad; it was really tasty, fresh, and well-prepared. The portion was also just right. We really liked the atmosphere of this place—laid-back, casual, and a bit "American." You can sit down, chat, and just have a good time.

You know what you’re getting when you go to Paris Texas. Absolutely kick ass food great indoor decor and friendly staff that are always in good humour and look like they enjoy being there. It’s always a treat as they serve very much that American diner style of comfort food that sometimes you just need to help you get through the week. Burgers are absolutely fantastic and the ribs are tender and juicy. Great pint of Guinness too. I’ve never had any issues in getting a table whenever we decide to treat ourselves. A really great spot that I cannot recommend highly enough.

A very cool restaurant and bar. The bar is classic and well-stocked, as is typical in Ireland. The food is excellent. We had Cajun-spiced hake with smoked fries and a small Caesar salad, and for our second course, jambalaya (with prawns, crab, diced fish fillets, and sausage slices). So far, one of the best meals we've had in Ireland. If we come back to Kilkenny, we'll definitely eat here again! The only downside was that the AC was set very cold, but that was tolerable.

Have been here a few times and it never fails to deliver. Food is always excellent, staff super friendly and helpful. Will 100% be back for more pulled pork or Brisket burgers and the odd pint !!!
