A very cool restaurant and bar. The bar is classic and well-stocked, as is typical in Ireland. The food is excellent. We had Cajun-spiced hake with smoked fries and a small Caesar salad, and for our second course, jambalaya (with prawns, crab, diced fish fillets, and sausage slices). So far, one of the best meals we've had in Ireland. If we come back to Kilkenny, we'll definitely eat here again! The only downside was that the AC was set very cold, but that was tolerable.

Have been here a few times and it never fails to deliver. Food is always excellent, staff super friendly and helpful. Will 100% be back for more pulled pork or Brisket burgers and the odd pint !!!

Slow service on a weekday afternoon (waited 10 mins for someone to get us a refill of tap water… no staff on the floor). Food is fine, no complaints except it doesn’t live up to the high price. Expect better for the price. Zero atmosphere. Dark and humid inside on a warmer day.

Great place. We are traveling from Vancouver (Coquitlam to be exact) Canada and have stopped in Kilkenny for one night. Came across Paris Texas Bar and we are glad we did. Great people, great food and great beer.

Brisket sandwich was good. Chips were ok. The plate was pretty bare, a small salad or Cole slaw would be nice. Service was prompt and efficient.

04/06/2026: Last minute decision while we were visiting Kilkenny and we weren't disappointed. Food was great from appetizers to the gelato finish. We had a broad selection of choices- salad, pasta, pizzas and steak.
20/05/2026: I remember visiting this restaurant about a year ago, and everything was absolutely amazing back then. Unfortunately, my experience today left me quite disappointed. I ordered the shrimp salad, but it has definitely gone downhill. Last time, the portion of shrimp was generous, but today there were barely any. The service was also frustrating. While the food was served quickly, the staff completely ignored me afterward. I sat there for 50 minutes after finishing my meal, hoping to order dessert, but nobody ever came back to my table. In the end, I just paid for my initial order and left. Because of the poor service and the drop in food quality, I can only give it 3 stars this time, even though I used to love this place.

Brewery Corner

19/09/2025: Extremely nice bartenders! Good atmosphere, you will feel comfortable at once.
06/09/2025: O'Hara's tap room. Went there and had really good beer. Spoke with two of the bartenders (possibly owners?) asked for a sticker (which no breweries or distillers carry in Ireland) and received a free t shirt instead. Great place good people!
