The biggest highlight was the amazing bar team especially Ryan and Dave who made us feel welcome from day one. We already miss you and definitely be back next year. I spent 3 weeks in Kilkenny and ended up in McSorley’s almost every single day — and honestly, that says everything. This pub became my second home while I was here. From day one, the welcome was unbelievably warm. The atmosphere is exactly what you hope for in a proper Irish pub: friendly people, great conversations, amazing pints, and always a good laugh. The owner is an absolute gentleman and makes everyone feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit. And then there’s Metzger behind the bar — genuinely one of the nicest bartenders I’ve ever met. Always in a good mood, great craic, super attentive, and somehow ridiculously handsome at the same time. Legend. The Thursday pub quiz is also an absolute must if you’re in Kilkenny. Brilliant atmosphere and always a great night. I’ll definitely be coming back to Kilkenny one day, and one of the biggest reasons is McSorley’s itself. Already missing the place.

McSorleys is a lovely new addition to kilkenny. Super welcoming, amazing atmosphere with a beautiful beer garden that has plenty of blankets and hot water bottles for anyone that would be cold which is such a nice and new thing to see in the bar scene! Cocktails were top notch, the bar staff and the manager Dave were super lovely aswell. Definitely will be back!!!
