Avalon House Hotel in Kilkenny

We stayed here for 4 nights during our time in Ireland and it is a very special place. You can tell that it's family run - staff is warm and inviting, and the charm of the original building from the 1800s is still very much alive. Breakfast was included at the restaurant Lil's, and the quality and quantity of options that were made to order were exceptional (full Irish breakfast, pancakes, waffles, porridge, etc).

My daughter and I recently stayed at Avalon House Hotel and from the moment we walked through the door we felt so welcomed by Miriana. The Hotel is such a lovely place to stay. The rooms are immaculate and very clean. The dinner in the bar was sooo good and all the staff are very friendly and helpful, especially John who made our day :) Breakfast was really good too. It's easy to park and it's such a short drive into Kilkenny. I only wish we had stayed longer. We will definitely stay here again.
