30/03/2024: 2 hot chocolates have flavor and marshmallow. 2 carrot cake walnut muffins with cream for less 18€. Had a warm welcome. I really enjoyed this! In German: A wonderful place to treat yourself to cake and cocoa in peace. Everything is homemade. The prices are very fair and the woman is really very friendly. I found it wonderful. I would come back at any time.

04/04/2024: Nice jolly family vibe. Real croissants which break and taste in the mouth like croissants should but generally don't. Good coffee, water genuinely infused with mint leaves. A cafe as it should be .

10/03/2024: If we could leave more than 5 stars we would!! We visited this place on a Saturday afternoon and were welcomed like family!! The food, the atmosphere, the service was all the best!! We had to come back the next evening, even though we were not hungry, just to see the staff and experience the place one more time. John and his staff were so warm, friendly and gracious to us. The food and drinks were superb!! If you are any where near this place you MUST stop in!!

12/03/2024: 1st stop we made on my 1st pub crawl in Ireland. Great place to start , friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. When your done here there are 2 more bars in a row and you come to Abbey street right after the Pumphouse bar. Walk up Abbey street and see the 1200 A.D. Norman Black Ferren Gate. Even farther along you will see the Black Abbey which has some spectacular stained glass. But turn around go back the way you came and have another beverage...it's a bar crawl after all!

26/01/2024: So my wife left in KK dressed less than for home, in struggle to find a place that’s not too local and not to touristy I sat in. I stayed next three hours calling my family to have dinner. Great staff that gave me all beer to try, nice customers mix of alternatives and hipsters. Nice food

05/11/2023: The Cutting Vedge is a plant-based deli in a fantastic location right in the centre of Kilkenny city. We were so surprised to find such a gem during our visit. The menu is expansive and has something for everyone. We ordered a wide range of options and we were impressed with them all! We had a 'nut roast wrap' which was very tasty. The nut roast itself was fab and the sauce accompanying it worked perfectly. This came with two salads: pesto potatoes and sesame noodles, both of which were lovely, once again very flavourful. Next we had the stromboli which was crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle with a delicious savoury filling. The 'house savoury pastry' was romanesco cauliflower and once again had a wonderful flavour and texture with some crumbly pastry. I also ordered the mushroom soup which was creamy and perfectly seasoned. Perfect for a cold day! The side salad served with the wrap and pastry were crunchy and fresh, an excellent addition to the dishes. The desserts were honestly just as good! We had the 'red velvet brownie' which was rich and moreish, it was paired with home made yoghurt and strawberry sauce which worked brilliantly. We also had the 'rhubarb crumble' which was tart and delicious, it felt like I was eating at my Granny's house once again! If this was not enough, the service was second to none. Helen and her colleague were always making sure everything was to our liking. After tasting half the menu I can safely say this deli is a must visit if you are in Kilkenny. When we visit Kilkenny again we will make sure to be back, thanks so much 😊

04/11/2023: Love this little foodie place Everything on the menu is very tasty and the ingredients are top notch. As a vegan just being able to step inside and order without having to check if the food is plant based is such a treat , am guessing it must also be a real joy for all the allergy sufferers ou there to be able to relax and enjoy a stress free meal in a cosy environment . The staff is excellent. Kilkenny is very lucky to have such knowledgeable chefs!

03/04/2024: I'm turn....on one hand, the girls were doing a great job on the other hand, the kitchen kept screwing up our orders and allergy requests! Had to get a salad redone twice and a burger 3 times! By time burger was done correctly the fries were cold and our other dish we ordered as well as I waited for my wife to get her correct food as well... you'd think the management would offer to comp the dish? Maybe a desert? How about a pint to make things right? But unfortunately nothing was said or done.... sad... not rocket science guys....the food , once served CORRECTLY was good

01/04/2024: I'm probably biased about this establishment partly due to its history, but I like the place, the staff are friendly and competent, the food is delicious and I'm a picky vegetarian, prices are reasonable and entertainment is provided from traditional music to sports. Child friendly too, can get very busy but the wait is never too long Great spot .

29/03/2024: I ordered a coffee and a cinnamon bun had never been before the staff are lovely and cinnamon roll was out of this world must have been freshly baked absolutely delicious best I've ever had highly recommend coffee was good too but nothing special just a regular latte will be returning and you should too!!!

29/03/2024: A very nice cafe where you can eat delicious coffee products and cookies. The ambience is quite simple, but that's fine. Unfortunately there were no toilets when we visited.

31/03/2024: Excellent breakfast options around 10 euro each, very affordable, the omelette was great. My dad got Guinness beef stew that was delicious. The tomato and basil soup also lovely!

12/03/2024: Lovely pub with different levels. We visited twice because of the staff. Entered from different sides of the building. Nice set up with food downstairs which was lovely.
