Algarve Grill in Kilkenny

With this new Management, the Algarve Grill gained a new life, with a very friendly service, an extremely pleasant atmosphere, well served food, and the desserts are really something special, we will definitely be back again. Congratulations to the new Management who undoubtedly managed to make Algarve Grill a true Bite of Portugal.

One of the best places with Portuguese cuisine in Kilkenny

Amazing restaurant!!! The food was so authentic I honestly felt like I was eating in Portugal again. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Charred and seasoned with an amazing sauce that was only made better once you added the peri sauce provided by the staff. The chips were hand made and so tasty. The starters were fantastic and the desert beautiful. We also had a carafe of wine to accompany our meal. With starters, mains, deserts and drinks the bill came to under €60!!! Amazing value for money for such great quality food and service. Can't recommend this restaurant enough. A real hidden gem in Kilkenny.

Lovely meal , great service and authentic Brazilian food

Very good food and the staff is great!

Went here for dinner before my 23rd. Definitely a really wonderful place, both staffed and owned by Portuguese people - as such, both the service and cuisine is that of an authentically Portuguese experience. Although my sea bass had bones in it due to a misunderstanding between myself and the staff (partially as a result of language barriers), the waiter Mario informed the chef of this, and my sea bass was exchanged for a deliciously olive oil-marinated steak at no extra charge. My partner had a pork fillet which was fantastic, and the atmosphere of the restaurant, although a little simplistic, makes very effective use of the space provided, and seating is efficient, if a little spartan. Regardless, the experience is overall generally very pleasant, and the food is good value for money. I'd definitely return.
