Kyteler’s Inn in Kilkenny

Famous and characteristic pub! The best in town!

Right in the middle of the tourist area. Great atmosphere and lots of beers on tap. The food arrived quickly, which is understandable given the crowds. The staff were highly motivated and really ran around. We made it inside! 👍

we came into the inn for food, it wasn’t full, the waiter directed us to a stool table in the middle of the bar area… i asked him if we could have a booth instead. he simple said we don’t have booths. put the menus down and he walked away. we were not comfortable myself and my older mother on tall stools. so we walked out. shame

good selection of Irish beers and whiskies

Great food, satisfying portions, fantastic service, wonderful live music (traditional Irish music when we visited), and several different and very cool sections. Go!

Classic Irish bar and restaurant with great ambience. We had very tasty meals of chicken and ham vole au vente, classic vegetable soup, and a salad (Yes, you can get a fresh salad in Ireland!)

Was packed when we came in we were still so welcomed by staff (richie) and told us he would take care of us and let us know when there was a table free. Richie was cheerful and so so nice with us he is very good with kids and wouldn’t let anybody go hungry he really helped out when we didn’t know what we wanted and every other staff was so genuinely nice and that’s a great thing to see. The restaurant food was so affordable and so nice the atmosphere was brilliant and the menu is super interesting especially learning about the Kytelers family. I just want to thank Richie for the way he cared so much about the kids and really took time with them and actually acknowledged them and made sure they were okay with there food. He is a very kind man and you don’t always find that.

Amazing pub about the witch burned at the stake. A must place to visit

I wish I could give Kyteler's Inn 10 stars alone just for the lively Craic. We treated very well by the two owners who hads laughing so much with some amazing stories. We went on a Friday night so they had live music and a lovely young lady doing some Irish dancing. The food was amazing.
