Foodworks in Kilkenny

We visit every time we are in Kilkenny now because the food has always been amazing whether it's for breakfast, brunch or late lunch. Farm to fork, what more could you want? The freshest of ingredients and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend

Maeve and Co. provide an incredible service that always keeps us coming back - their also one of the very few places to open super early on a Sunday which is great when the little ones are up and about.

My family and I had breakfast at Foodworks this morning, Sunday 19th July 2026. My daughter had the French Toast with Bacon, my son had the Eggs Florentine and I had the Vegetarian Breakfast. This was no half hearted attempt at Vegetarian! Everything on this plate shone on its own and also worked with everything else. Properly seasoned mushrooms, beautiful poached eggs, avocado cream, grilled plantain on yellow courgette, a very tasty bean cassoulet and a lightly spiced bhaji with some crispy bread - it was a vegetarian feast! The service was friendly and fast but not rushed. This was our second visit and we'll definitely be back.

Their Irish Breakfast was a bit of a free interpretation. That's not something I appreciate.

Food ok, staff not very nice. Didn’t offer a high chair for our daughter even though she was struggling to reach the table. I didn’t think they had one, but saw one by the restroom when we left.
