Friendly and authentic gem. Fresh, delicious sandwiches with highest quality ingredients, made to order, with care. Very good value! We had a lovely outdoor picnic on this beautiful sunny day and enjoyed every bite.

I’ve passed by this place many times and have always been curious, but I've never ordered anything. Decided to try a sandwich today, and I'm glad I did. Very authentic Italian, and extremely generous with the fillings. The ingredients are fresh, natural, and healthy, but still packed with flavour. Wasn’t expecting the quality to be this high. A great deli to have in Kilkenny, well worth picking over other places.

Excellent sandwiches, well filled, well stocked with all the typical Italian products, if you want a proper coffee and cappuccino, this is the right place, and the owners are always smiling and warm, I highly recommend it, and it's really true, a bit of good Italy in Ireland 👍

I'm a big fan of good coffee. I've had it all over the world, and of course in Italy, many times. The macchiato served at La Bottega is a 10 out of 10. And the owner's service is just as great.

13/04/2026: I have to say... just wow. This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel receptionist, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. From the moment we arrived, the hostess was warm and welcoming. We had initially tried to book over the phone but were advised to walk in and despite how busy it was, we were seated within minutes. The place was buzzing, with a fantastic atmosphere throughout. To start, we ordered the short rib beef croquettes, which were exceptional, truly melt-in-your-mouth. For mains, we both chose the filet steaks with peppercorn sauce, cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The sides of mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were equally enjoyable and complemented the meal well. Overall, a really impressive dining experience. I would definitely recommend it, delicious from start to finish.
27/03/2026: Mains were great, but the creme brulee would make me go back again and again. Cocktails were lovely too.

31/03/2026: Visiting from Pittsburgh. Great spot! Gluten-free options, including buns. Nice to have a place for my daughter to eat.
