Petronella in Kilkenny

I had lunch there and everything was absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, tasty, and really well prepared. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kilkenny!

Contemporary Irish cuisine. Quality ingredients and creative recipes and dishes. It’s a small restaurant, try to be seated upstairs if possible.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Petronella! The location is so fun, almost like a little secret off the main street. The interior is stunning, traditional and cosy. I really loved the ambience! The food is traditional cooking with great flavour. I really enjoyed my fish for my main course and the dessert was the highlight of my meal, it was so delicious, I'm still thinking about it! Overall, a lovely addition to Kilkenny, I do recommend dropping in.

We walked in without a reservation. But they checked quickly, and even though it was quite busy, there was a table for two. The interior is very beautiful, a truly old building. The menu features a number of lovely dishes. The starters were fine, especially the salmon with crab. Main courses were also excellent. Service was prompt and very friendly. In short, a pleasant restaurant.

The restaurant is very beautiful, very clean and cozy. The staff is very polite, the crab meat starter was devine, the hake main was delicious, but I didn't like the berry crumble for dessert.

As a professional medium, I was drawn to this location because of its history. Such a charming place. The food was magnificent! Every bite packed with fabulous flavours! Presentation also top notch, and the perfect amount of food. Highly recommend this restaurant! 🇨🇦
