I recently attended the Gate Restaurant for breakfast. The food was top quality at a very fair price. The venue has a very traditional Irish cafe feel to it which works really well. The staff were super welcoming and made us feel valued as customers.
Reasons to come back included:
1. Food quality
2. Staff friendliness
3. Table layout was nice and spaced and clean
4. Coffee comes with breakfast and only 70c supplement for speciality coffee e.g. latte, cappuccino etc.
I will definitely be returning to the Gate Restaurant again soon, thank you for your first class hospitality.

Three of us went for lunch on a Saturday. The food and service were excellent. Staff were also extremely helpful. We had the grilled chicken with mushroom sauce, the fish and chips, and the lunch deal (soup, sambo, t/c), followed by a berry crumble and custard to share. It was also very good value.

A well ran spacious family restaurant on the Main Street, of Navan serving a wide variety of dishes and desserts, if itβs a full Irish breakfast, a cup of tea and a scone or a big plate of dinner your after , this place has got it! The portion are good sizes, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and very good with kids, car parking is available in the car park at the back near Dunn stores or the Stonehouse

Food was very slow to be served considering what was ordered. Undercooked chips and very disappointing burger. Staff were fine. Won't be returning I'm afraid.

The dining experience was enjoyable, with delicious food, a pleasant atmosphere, and great coffee. However, I would kindly request that the staff refrain from clearing plates before diners have finished their food, as it can come across as a bit rude.

Myself and my sister visited today for lunch with our 2 babies. I cannot recommend the restaurant enough. The staff went out of their way to help us with our buggys and got us highchairs. They could not have been nicer or more friendly. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. We will definitely be going back!
