14/09/2025: Here with my wife and 2 kids Duck sent back inedible I had chicken and prawns with noodles the chicken was from last Sunday special and the prawns were like wooden stuff the noodles were ok Overall the experience was very bad

29/09/2025: Disgusted to be charged an extra €4 for tea, with the breakfast here, when it clearly stated €12 on the menu. Food was lukewarm & very mediocre. Wont be back again..

23/07/2025: El mejor regalo que me he hecho fue una cena en solitario en George V. El equipo es acogedor y atractivo. Aprendí sobre vinos de Paul Fogerty, sumiller jefe. Recibí sugerencias encantadoras en el menú de Andrea, mi servidor. El ritmo era apropiado para saborear cada bocado de comida de la finca ricotta al inicio del suflé de frambuesa (vale la pena el tiempo para prepararlo) como el final de una comida maravillosa. IT fue una experiencia que realmente fue un punto culminante para mi estancia en The Lodge at Ashford Castle.

03/07/2025: Cenamos con otra pareja. La cena es un acontecimiento. El personal de servicio fue excepcional. La comida es artística, lo que significa que las porciones son únicas y pequeñas. Espere gastar mucho. También desayunamos en este restaurante que estaba bastante bien y las raciones eran mejores.

04/08/2025: The food was ok. Unfortunately the biggest issue was there are little to no allergy accommodations. My girlfriend has a severe tree nut allergy and they said there is nothing that she could eat because they do not have any clean areas to prepare food for people with allergies. The chef also said he wouldn’t even risk it to try and make something fresh because of all the cross contamination.

17/08/2025: AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT – VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE A bad experience for a French group of 40 people whose menu was chosen in advance when booking. Before the meal, one of the group fell down the stairs (poorly maintained and slippery) and fractured their tibia. At no time did the staff show any concern. Insurance and emergency services had to be called for hospitalization in Galway. The manager's welcome and attitude were appalling. Several people ordered drinks, and the manager refused to allow each person to pay for their drinks individually, charging a total 10% surcharge for all menus and drinks. The information regarding this 10% surcharge was only communicated a few days beforehand, and only for the menus. The manager refused to compromise, even threatening to call the police while shouting. The bill contained several errors, which she corrected without even apologizing. Apparently, in a response to another comment, you stated that you are known for your outgoing personality and friendly nature, and that you are never hostile to customers. This does not reflect what happened at the dinner on August 12, 2025, and I confirm that your establishment is a TOURIST TRAP. The worst restaurant experience in Ireland. Please avoid any reservations at GEMELLES.

07/09/2025: The portions are generous, and every dish was absolutely delicious. From the moment we walked in, the hosts to the servers and bar team were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding, especially the Sunday Roast. We visited after Covid and weren’t overly impressed, but after returning today we were blown away. It was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. Thank you 🌟

03/09/2025: As far as chippers go in Navan, you’re simply not going to beat the valley for quality. They are unreal. However they are on the pricier side and chip portions seem to have gotten pretty small in recent years- hence the 4 star. Would rather pay a bit more and get proper portion of chips

27/10/2025: Excellent service. Wonderful atmosphere. Staff amazing and super helpful. Kitchen does its best to accommodate dietary requirements. Definitely worth sticking your head in the door.

12/10/2025: UPDATE: Constantly increasing their prices. And shrinking their portions. I once held this as my favorite pub in Ireland and was a regular customer but it’s gone very down hill. My most recent curry and goats cheese had 1 slide of courgette, 3 slices of pepper and was nothing but sauce and rice. Total rip off from their previous delicious food. Previous review: Best pub in Ireland. If only they would bring back the scampi and fries. Lovely staff. Heaters if you want to sit outside.

01/09/2025: We were very pleasantly surprised by our dining experience here on Sat evening. We were a table of 7, 4 adults and 3 kids. The waitress brought colouring pages and markers to the kids as soon as we sat down. She ensured the kids food came out quickly and our meals were delicious. We will definitely be back. It was a lovely evening.

20/08/2025: I arranged my Mother's 70th Birthday here for Tuesday the 19th August and to say I was unimpressed with the food is an understatement. The Monkfish wasnt available from the menu or the bread and butter pudding the roast beef dinner on offer was a tiny portion and tasteless I will not be returning the pork belly was vile. There was only one server looking after us the poor girl was run ragged she did her best but she should have had some help they knew about our booking for at least two weeks beforehand. Out of a party of 19 not one person will return for food here

02/07/2025: Visiting Dunlaoire and Dunphys looked like an authentic Irish pub. Unfortunately the welcome did not match. A young tall ginger slapped a sloppy, overflowing, unsettled Guinness on the counter and said that’ll be 6.80 and when I muttered, would you not let it settle he retorted, “do you want it or not”,I replied no and I don’t like your attitude (well I don’t like yours ether, he said !) and I left. (Wed July 2nd) Got a contrasting reception and a smashing pint of Guinness in The 2 Foxes.

27/06/2025: Came in for some drinks on our holiday with our 3 year old son says no buggies but they didn't mind us storing ours in the door way so long as it wasn't in the way. Great pub lovely old decor and great friendly staff. Had the Ambush Pale Ale was incredible with the glasses chilled in the fridge. 10/10 would get pissed here again.

05/07/2025: Waitress was nice and friendly. Toilets were clean. Food was poor for the price. Burger was cheap supermarket frozen quality. Was similar for kids meals. Would expect better at a chipper at 2am.

27/10/2025: Have dinners safe for coeliacs However I dont trust this place for breakfast at all. They use the same pair of tongs for everything including the toast. Its confusing considering their menu board marks c as coeliac friendly.

06/09/2025: Ordered and paid for food for my child party a week in advance and also organised time for food to be delivered, day of party food was 20mins late so decided to ring up and was told they forgot to look at there book and food wasn’t even cooked, food ended up being 50mins late.

25/10/2025: Portion sizes are great, delivery is fast enough but at times has been abit on the colder side, but the major fail and it seems its not limited to Giulio's is the fact the staff in chippers these days seem to have lost the ability to put salt and vinegar on the chips unless your standing in front of them reminding them salt and vinegar please. Even stating in the comments when ordering online extra salt and vinegar results in you guessed it..no salt and vinegar.
