28/04/2025: This place was absolutely hopping when we arrived. Very popular with millennial and particularly hens and stag parties. It appears that they start at the farthest point and work their way in. Everyone well behaved

26/03/2025: Food was beyond fantastic. Honestly we were surprised that we had some of the best pasta we had ever had in this hotel restaurant in Tralee. The cannelloni was absolutely to die for. Drink options were varied and extensive. Would love to come back here if only for the food.

24/01/2025: Arrived at this restaurant after walking out of Gallys where we were kept waiting twenty minutes and still nobody came to take our order in an empty restaurant so left.Food was amazing and Service was excellent, very efficient waitresses who were friendly and attentive.Food was beautiful, steak sandwich was very tasty and nice to find a strip loin steak in my steak sandwich and not grizzle like some places ,Guinness was good ,my Partner had Chicken which she enjoyed and everything was served warm and fresh.The cheesecake desert was the only dull moment ,a bit tasteless and if not for the caramel sauce would have been brutal .Nice to come out midweek and get nice decent food and drink with proper service.Menu selection is far superior to Gallys with alot more choice and better value.

01/06/2025: Long delays on food (we waited an hour); multiple other tables who arrived later than us were served their food first. No communication from staff to clarify wait times. No apologies offered, instead the waitress called us rude when we complained. Food was mediocre when it arrived. Overall a very disappointing experience. Such a pity as the beach views are incredible. We won’t be returning :(

24/05/2025: Lovely location and friendly waitress and barman. The manager was extremely rude to the staff and stopped us on leaving to say we didn't pay for a drink. This was completely untrue. Both drinks were paid for prior to being served to us. When this was explained to him he wasn't a bit apologetic and blamed his error on the till. Very disappointed to be spoken to in such a manner.

26/04/2025: Woman who brought down our meals was incredibly rude. Not a smile, not a nod of the head after thanking her. The lettuce on the burger was the worst i ever tasted. The burger itself was edible, just about. Got chips with it and the taste off them would put me off ever coming back to this place again. Probably a good spot to get petrol or use the toilet. Avoid this “Supermacs” anyways.

17/05/2025: I am so disappointed because I was looking for food on the 17 of May it was two entrances so I was waiting to be seated and there was about five waiters that were free and none of them acknowledged my existence and other Irish came in with a child. They serviced them wash the guy taking them to the table. Give them the money order and literally just passed part of this is the worst customer service ever you guys need to get your shit together🚮🚮🚮

09/05/2025: We were here for lunch mid-week and we were very pleasantly surprised. I had the steak sandwich (which I'd highly recommend!) and my husband had the club sandwich. The staff were very friendly and the food was very tasty. There was plenty of parking too. Will definitely be back!

25/05/2025: We stopped for lunch at The Moorings Bar & Restaurant and were very happy with the experience. My wife ordered a fish and chips and I had the fish of the day, Cod gratinated à la Florentine. Both were very good and generously portioned. The Baileys cheese cake for dessert was just ok. Overall a nice lunch.

19/05/2025: We eat lunch here every time we are in Portmagee. It's super cozy. The food is great. Service is fast. No need to look elsewhere!

13/06/2025: Rooms were lovely and clean. Food was fab. Great value for money. Only downfall was service was slow. Breakfast lunch and dinner, staff were just slower. They weren't understaffed or anything like that. They were super friendly and very helpful, their pace of service was just slow. It was noticeable to us, maybe it was the pace of the establishment and not a negative but just something we found mentionable.

21/05/2025: Myself and two other friends had my birthday dinner there and one of my friend was running late. We felt a little bit rushed from the staff as if they want us to finish our dinner as soon as we can and just leave. One gentleman who was holding the iPad moved some tables around and said to us that we don’t have to rush anymore because they see that one of our friends still hasn’t arrived so we’re okay. So thank you to him for that. The mocktails wasn’t that bad but when it comes to the food wise , the pricing does not match the food portion. I ordered a 10oz steak WHICH COST €46???? it includes chip if you wanted chips on the side which would’ve been €6.50 alone for itself ??????? The steak wasn’t even that big as well…… the chips itself it’s called “ beef drip chips “ sounds fancy right ???? It’s basically just a small portion of chips and they were even dry too…. On the menu it said there will be service charge for table of 6 or more. It was only three of us girls and there was a service charge on our bill ???????? Overall the interior of the restaurant is nice but the pricing and staff wise is not the very best. The only thing they were good was that they were very attentive but attitude was not the very best in some way. Don’t think I’m gonna come back again to be honest

21/02/2025: What an incredible restaurant! We happened upon it by chance and everything was top class! We ordered several items on the menu- all surpassed expectations! Terrific Guinness! A casual stroll in Schull ended with a very classy, delicious and friendly experience!

21/02/2025: Absolutely outstanding food and pints- the beef roast, mussels, and sticky toffee pudding were all delicious, and I had one of the best pints of Guinness I ever had. The service was great as well- a perfect dining experience all around!
