12/10/2026: Been here a few times for the pizza meal, at any time from lunchtime to middle of the night, it's always been consistently good quality and with decent portions. The one on O'Connell street is much worse, worth the walk up here instead.

03/06/2026: So surprised at how poor the food quality was in the bar. Ordered the vegetarian fajitas. The attached picture was allegedly guacamole... it looked like something poured from a bottle instead of guacamole. Seating badly needs to be replaced or upholstered too. This place gets rave reviews for weddings. I cannot understand after visiting the bar

31/07/2026: Very traditional pub from 1917- friendly barman. Had soup when food opened at 3pm. Very tasty vegetable broth for 7 euro but it only came with half a slice of wheaten. It’s only a small point but takes away from the beautiful soup. Full slice and you’d feel less hard done by

23/10/2026: We came in here late one Saturday night in early September. Had the fish cakes to start and the steaks for dinner. Everything was cooked to absolute perfection and full of flavour. Loved our steaks. Friendly service and we were in and out in the hour. Nice atmosphere also. Highly recommend if you’re in Killarney.

13/08/2026: This was the resturante at my hotel we stayed at in Dublin. No wait time. Food came out fast and reasonable price. Cappuccino was good and sandwich and fries fresh. Would recommend if you dont want to go anywhere to eat

17/10/2026: We went to the Guinea Pig on a Saturday evening, this was our second time in the last few months. We certainly weren't disappointed, hence our return. My wife and I think that this is, food-wise the best restaurant in Dalkey. Kevin, the host, is fantastic, friendly and engaging, knows when to see if everything is ok and when not to intrude. As previously mentioned, the food is fantastic, great wine selection and to me is exceptional value when prices everywhere seem to rise by the day. The decor is classically French bistro, intimate and homely at the same time.IWe went for the Early Menu, mussels and vol au vent, to start and Boneless sauteed chicken and as I'm quite predictable, I had the steak, perfectly cooked as requested, there is a €14 supplement, more than worth it, some lovely wine and cocktails, all delicious. don't know why it took us so long to visit in the first place. Highly recommended.

20/09/2026: Nostalgic booking for early dinner turned out to be a surprise with French culinary. Fine-dining dish presentation for starters. Modest portions of mains. Priced reasonably for Dalkey. Service was attentive and helpful. Fast turnaround of orders. Would come again.

12/10/2026: It looked great when it came out, but the taste didn’t match up. There was a ton of breading and not enough fish. The fries were also hard which was disappointing.

Chicken burger 🍔 Chicken wrap 😋 Toasted 🥪 Dinner mash & burger 🍔 Pizza 🍕 Place was clean and tidy Very wide selection of foods Shop was well stocked and had tea & coffee machine sandwich 🥪 and pastries 🍰 Plenty of seating and parking ideal place to take a brake highly recommend Drive through option available
