14/12/2025: We had an amazing birthday meal here. The food and service was 10/10. I would highly recommend the duck and the Tiramisú! The manager Peter made us feel so welcome.

06/10/2025: After this wonderful place was recommended by several locals we decided to try it at last. Blue Serenade did not disappoint. The food was exceptional lovely flavours fresh and wholesome. Wonderful presentation. Great value for money. Easy parking. Peter who looked after us was so chatty helpful attentive as provided exceptional service. This place has exceptional reviews has a great reputation in the town for its service great food and ambience. Peter the owner treats everyone who comes through the door in a lovely courteous genuine and professional manner. A wonderful hidden gem in Castlebar.

09/02/2026: I was here recently and I have to say that the service is poor quality, very late and sometimes grumpy waiters, I won't even talk about the food because the taco they served me was a pasta with cheddar and fries, which soon made my underwear dye brown.

04/02/2026: Nice bar with usually good bar staff. But watchout for south American bar boy with black dreadlocks and glasses. If you leave your drink on the bar unattended, when you return you will have a different drink in it's place and god only knows what he put in to it. It won't be what you originally ordered. ASK FOR ANGELA! Get bouncers and management to Check the cameras.

14/11/2025: I booked a meeting room. The space was prepared as discussed, everything organised when we got there. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was very good experience, 5 starts, we'll eb back.

05/08/2025: The vegetable soup here has absolutely no flavor. It's just diced potatoes, chopped onion, and carrots in water. Only after adding a lot of salt and pepper was it even remotely edible. The coffee was definitely not freshly brewed and was still very strong with milk. We wouldn't recommend it. The ice cream and fries are probably better.

28/10/2025: Has it all, carvery, lunch, pizza, curry the works Lovely smell walking in the door. Super friendly workers, even suggesting things to get with my wrap High prices (just over 30 for lunch of wrap and roll with crisps and one drink) but in line with everyone else now unfortunately Definitely worth a visit as I said there's plenty of options for everyone Will keep it in mind if in the area again

24/12/2025: We stayed in Powerscourt for a night away and had breakfast here. Oscar was an absolute gentleman and unbelievable service. He was extremely helpful and very polite and went above board for everything. He made the experience even better. Thank you Oscar!

16/01/2026: I was surprised by size of the restaurant. It doesn’t look as big from outside. Good food and good prices. The restrooms were not the best.

12/01/2026: The location is great, but unfortunately everything else was disappointing. As soon as we walked in, a woman who appeared to be the owner was sitting at the table closest to the entrance doing paperwork. She was speaking very loudly on the phone, which completely ruined the atmosphere. The staff were actually very nice, which was the only positive part of the experience. I ordered the fish and chips, and it was the worst I’ve ever had. The fish was overcooked and hard, and the portion itself was very small. It felt like they were trying to hide the lack of fish with an excessive amount of batter. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

09/12/2025: When u walk in you are greeted as if u were an old friend. The restaurant is large and airy lots of seating. They are good at accommodating small groups(12ish) with a reservation. There is a wide selection between the menu and specials board

17/11/2025: Got a doner meat chips and a long black hair on top. I rang them and the man on the phone was very rude and was insisting it was my own hair to which I said I don’t have black hair. He sent out another doner meat chips and then rang me after I received it and said they will never deliver to my house again due to the complaint. Terrible attitude on staff and terrible food.
