19/06/2026: Very helpful and friendly staff. Food was excellent. Rooms spacious and very well equipped. All in all Great. 🏆.

08/04/2026: Old tired bathroom with grout missing from tiles in major need of a refurbishment. Never a 4 star hotel. Bedroom also old fashioned. Whole place needs modernisation. Update, the hotel apologised and said I should not have been in room 212 as it should have been closed for renovations. The hotel kindly offered a full refund. I will update score after I stay in another room. Update Room 209, bathroom brand new

16/05/2026: While staying in the area we visited the Irish arms once for lunch and next day for dinner while the food was good the service from one of the barmen was absolutely appauling. Everything was a bother. It was like we shouldn't have came in and God forbid ask for a drink that really was asking too much never encountered a more rude and unwelcoming attitude from a barman .Wish l had spent my money elsewhere.

26/04/2026: We stopped in here on our way back from the Cliffs of Mohrer to get a bite to eat. After two weeks, one in Ireland and one in Amsterdam, this was THE best meal I had!!! I had the roast of the day - turkey and ham - mashed potatoes and veggies with cabbage! My friend had the Guinness stew and said it was great!

03/07/2026: Food was just ok, didn't eat the pancakes they were really poor, service was excellent.

28/06/2026: Nice setting but everything else terrible, especially the service. Coffee took 30 minutes to be made and it took 40 minutes for some horrendous eggs to arrive. Extremely disorganised in every way possible. Won’t be returning.

12/06/2026: I really like Cosy Joe's; they have food during the day and at night they have drinks and good music to dance to until 2:30 am.

11/04/2026: Hotel is lovely, staff were so friendly and helpful. Family room was so spacious. Room and ensuite was spotless and had everything anyone needed. Breakfast was lovely. Great parking at the back of hotel. We really enjoyed our time there.

26/02/2026: Staff friendly, apart from lady in bar, unwelcoming looked like she didn't want to be there. Everyone else was ok. Distinct smell of old grease as soon as you get to any of the doors, and inside the Hotel. Room is freezing cold, bathroom mold in shower tray, dirty shower head, mold along the top of the ceiling, and the glass shower door edges. The ceiling in main room had quite a bit of water damage in 2 places, room 215. Cobwebs everywhere, carpet dated. No firedoor at all. Smell of grease in room too. Had to ask to be moved, which they did. And they gave us a portable heater. Room 218, only slightly better, but again freezing, so welcomed to have the heater, no firedoor. Could see the hall light under the gap of door at night time. Smoke detector had a plaster on it, remote for TV didn't work properly at all. Restaurant, seats actually stuck to the floor, looked like the cold breakfast items were left out over night. Had some food in bar first night and ended up with food poisoning. Wouldn't eat in there again.

05/05/2026: Spectacular traditional Irish pub!! Toastie was absolutely delicious! Service was exceptional!!

08/06/2026: Boutique comfort with perfect view of the harbour. Dined in their sister property, The Blue Haven Hotel which was incredible.

07/06/2026: Right in the heart of Kinsale, rooms are nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

26/06/2026: Food is fine but the premises is very neglected especially the toilets, damaged doors, broken soap dispenser, toilet flusher broken, ceiling tiles missing —Zero money being spent on maintenance, poor show 👎

22/06/2026: An absolute terrible experience. While I was talking to the waiter at first, a woman approached. She acted so aggressive and ridiculous, as if I was eating there for free. It was a completely humiliating experience and I absolutely do not recommend this place

19/06/2026: Disgusting way of treating customers, manager made a show of me because I didnt ask her to use the "customer toilet". Absolutely shocked by the tone of voice and how she treated me as a customer I would not recommend stepping foot in a place like this. Imagine having to ask to go the toilet like a schoolchild. AVOID at all cost unless you want to be treated like dirt on the end of her shoe. Plenty of nice places around that will show respect to the customer. This is not one of them.

06/07/2026: Food was fine, service great....we were here a few years ago and it was hopping but looked very run down now inside and out..no atmosphere, needs attention

20/06/2026: Hi had the roast beer on day 1 when I arrived which was really good and a large portion. The second day I had a chicken burger which had a curry based breadcrumb. It was quite dry.

22/03/2026: Great service. We were the only ones there so it was quiet but I would be confident that the service wouldn't be any different. Quite possibly the best irish coffee I have ever had too!

13/03/2026: I cycled a hundred miles the day I visited The Courtyard Café and was very impressed with the Chicken Caesar wrap and chips that was served, absolutely outstanding.

19/12/2025: I ordered a cake as a family present from The Courtyard Cafe.. It was ready and given on payment with no fuss. The staff were nice and good and I'm writing particularly because the cake was first class.. the price was really good for the top job that was done. I'm going there in future. Needless to say the Birthday cake was gone into the bellies in no time. People commented on how good the cake looked and it was tasty regards, Anthony.
