17/03/2025: Second time I've ordered delivery from this place. Said id give it another chance. Food was freezing when it arrived over an hour late. . 1.45 from when it was ordered. Simple order of 2 kids means which arrived again with no toy and no juice. No point on complaining to driver. Not his fault. Pathetic service really

21/05/2025: Friendly and central hotel in Lahinch with great value for money. The staff organised overnight storage for my bike, even carrying it in and out! Room was perfect and excellent breakfast with full Irish options, including vegetarian version. Lots of options nearby for food and the beautiful beach to enjoy the sunset!

27/05/2025: Pros: people were nice, restaurant was decent and they had live music on occasion; beds were comfy and rooms were clean. Cons: This is a much older hotel than the pictures convey—stained and worn carpets, cracks in the bathroom tiles/grout, and the walls are thin — we could hear our neighbors urinate regularly. Be aware that Balleyvaughan is in the middle of nowhere with very little public transport available. But there are some good restaurants: Monks and The Soda Shop in particular.

18/04/2025: Great spot!!! Food was outstanding!!Shepards pie was one of the Best I’ve tasted in the UK….. came with a basket of fries and Asian esq Cole slaw…. Very Delicious. Roasted Turkey breast was Yummy as well. Clean restaurant, nice decor and good vibes, our servers were Great!! Highly recommended

06/05/2025: As a family we love the Years Tavern. Booking a table is easily done online. The staff are always welcoming and efficient. They have a fantastic, varied menu to suit all tastes - my favourite being their goats cheese salad which I'd describe as 'a party on a plate', given it's colours, textures and flavours. Highly recommend a visit.

21/04/2025: We stopped off for a spot of dinner along our travels. We were famished the with hunger once seated our order was taken after 10 mins this is where we proceeded to wait 45 to be served our food, while other tables that sat after us had been served and finished their meals. It’s worth noting the food that was ordered, would’ve been precooked and sitting in a Bain Marie, which arguably should not take 45 minutes. The food was sub par at best. There was a side of garlic potatoes ordered and only arrived after we had finished our meal. We asked to speak to a manager and we were informed kindly that he was not available A waitress came to our table to address our issue. We told there nothing really should could do only offer us a round of drinks bearing in mind we had orange cordial. The tone was overall dismissive and rude. We finished our meal before a senior member of staff did come and express her concern where she kindly comped the meal in an effort to safe the experience. But it was not about the money, the complete lack of service during the 45 minute wait showed the inexperience of the staff and after the waitress left us with the impression that our concerns were not her problem we had a bad taste left in our mouths, only made worse by the average microwaved food.

08/06/2025: Glasthule location- Nice environment but unfortunately staff are young and untrained. There were 6 staff on all standing around not paying attention to the few tables they had. Coffee awful, and I got the Brie and Onion sandwich on sourdough which very little to no Brie on it. Such a pity, it could be a really nice place if the staff were trained. Hopefully management will take action on this!

30/05/2025: A beautiful little spot ruined by a strangely bad cafe. I am sorry but it does not match any 4+ star rated cafes! Been here tried food, coffee, etc, sat in, sat out, felt like it is run by untrained and understaffed staff, extremely unhygienic! The 4+ ratings is probably because it “used” to be nice at some point in time. Nevertheless they do get you what you want in the speed they like. And you eat, feel disappointed, pay and leave. Ruining your free time and money!

14/06/2025: Had the calamari which was fine, not great, but did the trick, not worth the price though, serving with lemon cream in what looks like a paper pill cup, was an awful look. Our waitress, was an older lady with glasses and short hair, and she was lovely, attentive and a delight and is the only reason why there are two stars for service. As for front of house, when waiting to be seated, we were greeted by a sour faced older lady, and when table ready pointed at us and pointed at the table. No manners, no welcome, she looked like she was stressed out with no time for dealing with anyone. When we asked for bill, we got a young lady who could hardly be bothered and when refusing to tip, contempt was evident. This place has mediocre food, is over priced and an appalling attitude by some staff, means we won't return.

15/04/2025: This property is very beautiful the location is really great however this hotel is not suitable for older people. The breakfast service was very terrible as we constantly felt rushed even though the hotel was fully and we did not get our seat promptly. I absolutely have no issues waiting for a table because I understand that the hotel was fully booked and busy however as soon as we sat down we felt extremely rushed both days that we ate there. The breakfast was tasty though. We asked for clean towels to be set in our room and when we got back the towels that they had replaced were extremely dirty and had brown spots on them. I told front desk about this and I thought they were going to notify the manager but they never did. We went there with my parents who needed help with their luggage since there are a lot of stairs in this property. The stairs are completely fine and it was in the listing so I completely understood. However when we went to the front desk to ask for assistance for my parents to help them with their luggage the front desk person was sleeping in the lobby we did not offer to help us at all. This was extremely unprofessional considering that my parents were older, and we had been told the front desk offer is 24 seven and they did not help us with their luggage at all. Overall the properties very beautiful but the staff is horrendous. I’ve never the type of person to leave a negative review but this truly blew my mind how terrible the service was.

13/04/2025: My grandparents were heading to Dublin for a concert and we booked this accommodation for them as a gift. They absolutely LOVED EVERY BIT OF IT. The welcome they received was so warm and they even included a selection of cakes and an upgrade. The room was very cozy and super clean. The morning was made even better by a huge spread of anything they could want. Thank you for looking after our grandparents. We really appreciate it 🧡

31/12/2024: Muy, muy decepcionado. Visita anualmente @xmas pero nunca más. Gnocchi no comestible, hamburguesas secas, patatas fritas tan fuerte rebotó cuando trató de comer con un tenedor, la merluza era horrible. Platos muy desnudos, sin ensalada de acompañamiento en cualquier plato. Los ñoquis solo tenían un pequeño trozo de pan de ajo, las porciones eran extremadamente pequeñas. No demasiado ocupado así que no hay excusa. Quedó esperando años para ordenar y de nuevo para pagar. Dije que la comida no era buena, pero le dije que no le diré disculpas al chef. No volveré.

08/10/2024: Good for a pint of Guinness to wind down the evening while sitting out front to watch the people. There are bouncers at the door checking ID's but they could clearly tell that I am definitely of age. Inside, loud with music at 8pm on a Saturday night. So it was outside with the pint glass and thankfully, no one smoking out there. Great to sit for an hour and watch the idiots peel out from Eyre Square in their fancy cars. And watch the taxis make the u-turn to the stand directly in front. And when someone did decide to light up, finish off the pint and head onwards. Lots of tourists in town this evening so it was busy all around.

19/03/2025: Food was terrible. Ordered 2 half roast chickens. Tiny portions and the chicken was dry with black bones. Half a potato cut into cubes. The coleslaw on my wives plate was gone off which can be extrememy dangerous. Very disapointed.
