10/01/2026: Oct 2025 We stayed at this hotel while holding a memorial for my beloved sister, and I truly cannot put into words how much comfort and kindness we received during such a painful time. The hotel’s central location was perfect, and the rooms were always warm, cozy, and immaculately clean—exactly what we needed. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with many delicious options offered daily, and the dining staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating to my food allergies, which meant so much to me. We have stayed here many times over the years and always loved it, but this visit was exceptional. The compassion shown to us will never be forgotten. The hotel manager, Edel, was professional, kind, and genuinely compassionate, going above and beyond to support us on short notice. Her leadership truly shows in her amazing staff—Chloe was wonderful,, kind and professional maureen the server had outstanding service accommodating all of us especially with food allergies This hotel will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We are deeply grateful to everyone who made a very difficult time a little easier.

04/10/2025: Great atmosphere, service and food. Our favourite restaurant since being in Ireland! We sat on the bar side and the menu was excellent. The fires were warm and the service even warmer, especially on the cozy couches, on a stormy evening. Cocktails were also superb. Wish we were staying near for our whole trip so we could have another meal at the Red Door!

01/08/2025: Assolutamente da provare. Si trova nel pieno di Temple Bar ma, a differenza di altri locali, qui non c'è il frastuono della musica live. Cibi squisiti e personale simpatico e molto veloce. Noi abbiamo provato la beef stuve, super buona. Se andate nelle serate di grande afflusso dovete avere pazienza, c'è da fare un pò di fila, ma ne vale assolutamente la pena.

30/07/2025: Nachdem wir 30 Min. auf der Strasse auf unseren reservierten Tisch gewartet haben, war das Erlebte dann wirklich nicht sehr gemütlich. Chaotische Zustände im Restaurant. Bierfässer werden im Gastraum und den Toiletten gelagert. Der Burger war trocken, unterstes Level. Ambiente, ist nicht vorhanden eingepfercht wie Tiere. Das Ganze ist einfach eine gut organisierte Abzocke.

02/11/2025: OMG what an BAD experience. The food is of a very poor standard indeed. It seems to be pre cooked and lined up to heat in microwave as ordered. We stopped in on a Sunday morning for breakfast which we were told has finished…Disappointed we decided to look at alternative options. We ordered soup and a coffee and scone. The soup came lukewarm and with one mean slice of brown bread which was cut so thinly it fell apart when lifted off the plate. And the coffee which was cold. So we cancelled the second part of our order. As we approached the till to pay before leaving, we could hear shouting in an angry tone. At first we didn’t realise it was being directed at us. And then we realised it was the cook in the kitchen shouting and hurling insults and abuse at us from the kitchen because we had cancelled the second part of our order! We were shocked and appalled by her behaviour and bad manners in front of staff and other customers. What a bad ambassador for any business. I can’t imagine what it must be like to work in an environment like this. The young ladies serving are extremely pleasant and doing their best but I would think it’s not a very pleasant work environment. Only for the fact that there’s nowhere else around for miles I expect this place would be closed long ago….The worst experience I’ve ever had when eating out…the place is cold, the decor desperate …pallets on the ceiling for light holders and cheap timber furnishings…..avoid avoid avoid. The reviews online definitely don’t reflect our experience perhaps it’s the reviews from associates of the cook ???

08/12/2025: We had a fantastic family stay at Hylands Burren Hotel. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly, and nothing was ever too much trouble. A special thank you to Aaron, who kindly accommodated a request before our stay and made everything so easy for us. We truly had a wonderful experience and would happily return!

08/10/2025: Lovely place. Lovely staff but the food i had was just gross. Had lamb for dinner. Red raw on the inside and like a rock from the Burren to cut. Shame on the cook thats cooking there.

04/06/2025: Visited here with the small one age 3 and 7 the staff are well seasoned in dealing with kids and made ordering easy ,the staff could not have been nicer ,lovely brunch worth a visit

26/12/2025: Easily made a dinner reservation online and were seated quickly. The space is quite cozy and beautiful, with views of the golf course. Service was a bit on the slow side, but we were not in any hurry so enjoyed the view and company. We had the fish and chips, salmon filet and soup of the day. Everything was served hot and delicious, and they even surprised our guest with a birthday dessert. We did not stay at Dromoland, but if you do, The Fig Tree is a great spot to enjoy a wonderful meal and cocktail.

31/12/2025: We are a small family with roots in West Clare and regardless of what stage of the year you come down to the area, the Bay View consistently offers great food, great atmosphere and attentive staff. Everything a good family run hotel should be. Long may it continue!

17/11/2025: We arrived at about 6pm on a Sunday night in November -- when most of the other restaurants in town were closed for the season -- to find a substantial crowd and several people waiting for tables. The very polite proprietor did a quick survey and suggested it might be as much as a 40 minute wait, but lacking other options, we settled at the bar. Fortunately, things moved more quickly and we were seated in about 15 minutes instead. Their menu follows the "gastro pub" model, with upscale versions of a lot of Irish standards . I had a bowl of chowder (very good), my wife had goat cheese crostini (excellent) and we shared a tiger prawn appetizer (also delicious). The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere cozy on a chilly fall night. Overall, a win all around.

08/11/2025: Sorry to leave a bad review as usually the food is nice and fresh. We order today when the restaurant opened and got hard chips , stale batter sausages , chicken wrap with dried out goujans. I was so disapointed as the food is usually fresh but my order was definitely reheated food from day before . Very disapointed with the quality of food as it is usually fresh but not today.

25/10/2025: Portion sizes are great, delivery is fast enough but at times has been abit on the colder side, but the major fail and it seems its not limited to Giulio's is the fact the staff in chippers these days seem to have lost the ability to put salt and vinegar on the chips unless your standing in front of them reminding them salt and vinegar please. Even stating in the comments when ordering online extra salt and vinegar results in you guessed it..no salt and vinegar.

27/12/2025: In the Pub on Saturday afternoon the 27th of December and the place was freezing. There was no heating at all. The other customers were also complaining that the pub was too cold. Especially with the flu going around this is disgraceful, not a cosy pub at all. No wonder the place is going down hill
