When the first item on the menu is Satay Kajang, we think there's some Malaysia in the food. No problems finding a place to sit. Service was fast. So many huge prawns in the char Kueh teow we ordered, no taugeh though. Crispy noodles not up to what we had expected, noodles not crispy and the gravy just didn't have the right taste.

Hooked

05/04/2024: Food was top notch and the service was even better. Would highly recommend to anyone in Sligo!
02/04/2024: We were in Sligo for a short visit but had made no reservations for an evening meal. Hooked found us a table and made us very welcome. The food was excellent and it's well worth a visit. We found the name slightly misleading as we thought it was only fish that was served but it's Hooked on Sligo as they source their suppliers locally.

The Glasshouse

05/04/2024: Excellent location for a stay in sligo within walking distance to the town. The Hotel could do with a bit of refurbishment as the foyer and some areas are outdated but still very clean. The staff are extremely friendly and makecit a very nice place to visit. The food served is excellent. I would definitely recommend this place to stay.
28/03/2024: The Guinness was good, but not so helpful if you want fresh orange juice in the bar. We were advised to go to the restaurant as they didn’t have any?….surely the bartender could have popped down to get it and not me? Anyway. Generally a nice hotel, pleasant room (we didn’t book a river view). Staff from the hotel were helpful, especially at 2.30am when our neighbours returned home and wanted the world to know they were home. There seemed to be a large group in who were scattered around the hotel, which impacted our stay. The self service breakfast is served to you at the self service counter. Which I couldn’t see what was on offer. And was then served way too much. I hate waste Sligo seems a pleasant town/city, but for the Wild Atlantic Way I’d be inclined to look at a smaller/nearer venue. Good but not brilliant
