Great pub and excellent accommodation

Me and a friend sat outside in the beautiful sun i had a burger dinner mash potato oinins beast gravy staff very helpful as im on a walking frame and pleasant experience with be back very nice experience

Excellent. The waiters were incredibly friendly. A charming, typical pub. They treated us wonderfully even though we were dressed casually. They were really nice.

always spotless, bit pricey.. but you get what you pay for..

We did not stay in a room, they need a separate entry for the restaurant and lounge. We had the carvery, with beers, tea, and a Bailey's coffee. The food was ample and tasty, and my wife said the Bailey's coffee was the best she had ever had! Service was courteous and helpful for us first-timers. The atmosphere is fabulous! You can choose from the Restaurant for dining, the Lounge for drinking, the House for a room, or the off license for carry home beverages. The woodwork is lush, and decore exudes a turn of the century (19th-20th, that is) ambiance. I'm glad we were staying in the area, or I would not have gone out of my way to come here.

We had a lovely time staying here. Staff were super helpful and you can see all of them take their work quite seriously. Rooms were always clean. Pub gives off a nice vibe. Foodwise I guess portions could be a little bigger. Either way, the whole place has a unique aura.

My husband and I went for lunch on a Sunday... the meat was cooked to perfection, with nice onions, but I regretted choosing the salad... there was something in it that wasn't fresh, so I only ate the steak with the onions... the service was friendly and the cleanliness also deserves praise.

Spacious and comfortable facility. Plenty of parking and good bus access. Nice food served by nice people too.Worth a visit .

Great 2 night stop over. Will come again. Thank you very much. Easy to get to from the airport on the number 16 bus. Stops outside the door!
