04/09/2025: I can't judge the quality of the food, unfortunately. We arrived at 9 p.m., after a long drive, at the Beaufort Bar and Restaurant. We understand perfectly well that it was a little too late to eat, but the cold welcome and the equally unfriendly response from the man behind the bar wouldn't have given us a good impression of the Irish... luckily we met some extremely friendly ones elsewhere! We're staying in the area for a few days... we won't be setting foot in this establishment again. Very sad.

20/12/2025: Please do not eat out of this restaurant. I’m in bed with two days when I told the staff they said there’s nothing they can do. It was my problem. Please do not. My Kids is in hospital whatever you do do not eat out of this restaurant and I was forced to pay.

03/12/2025: Ordered a 10oz Ribeye - I estimate no more than 6 Oz steak delivered and very heavily salted, the side salad was very old. For the price charged I expected more.

02/01/2026: Terrifying Security !!!! We chose this place for New Year’s Eve because we wanted to sit quietly with friends, have a few drinks, and chat. The atmosphere inside was lovely and I genuinely liked it. However, we were sitting outside while waiting for the rest of our friends to arrive. I ordered a beer, and when one of our friends arrived, we were chatting in our own language. At that point, the security guard outside told him that this was not a free house that it was his property, and that he could not sit there unless he was drinking alcohol. So our friend got up, ordered a drink, and we continued waiting and talking. One of our friends did not drink alcohol because he had to go to work later. Everyone else at the table already had drinks. Despite this, the security guard approached us and told him, “If you’re not going to drink, get out of here. You can’t sit here.” Our friend calmly explained that he wasn’t drinking because he was starting work, but the security guard rudely replied, “That’s not my problem. Get out of here, you can’t sit here.” When we questioned his behavior, he insisted he wasn’t being rude, claimed the bar was his property, and then told all of us to leave. As a result, we left without even finishing the drinks we had already ordered. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. We were simply a group of four friends who wanted to sit together, chat, and have a drink. Because of the security guard’s rude and discriminatory attitude, I will never return to this place.

21/12/2025: The bouncer Ger was incredibly rude to me and my friend. Wouldn’t want to repeat it. Wouldn’t recommend going here!

22/12/2025: I went for lunch today with my daughter and asked for club sandwich on sourdough as opposed to bagel with chips to share and my daughter had goats cheese quiche. Tea for 2 came as did my daughters food. Mine came on a bagel so I refused but the person who took the order said i never asked for sourdough but I had as I don't do bagels unless with cream cheese and bacon My daughter had her food eaten and tea drank but my food never appeared ad the chips we were to share never appeared either. A disaster, very poor service and I would have expected that when a mistake is made its rectified immediately but obviously not here.

20/10/2025: The boss from Northeast China is kind. I ordered wonton noodles. They are delicious. If you pass by Silgo, you can come here to eat.

06/10/2025: Most of the time we ordered it was okay but we got the completely wrong order after we phoned in and we're told that we hadn't ordered it when we did, the staff took no responsibility for it and left us out with the completely wrong order

01/02/2026: Just back from a 2 night weekend break for our wedding anniversary .Lovely card and chocolates waiting for us in room. Staff amazing, lovely dessert plate after our meal ,went over and above to make our break special .Would highly recommend this hotel for exceptional value for money coupled with outstanding customer service 👏 Hopefully be back shortly xx

04/10/2025: A great Irish pub in Adare. We were looking for music and a little nosh, which they don't really have, especially on weekdays. They do have music on weekends tho; however, it isn't a dining place. It is a bar, but a very clean open, comfortable space. Big Al took care of us - made a couple calls and got great Irish music...later a woman with a harp came by and joined our little trio of gentlemen! We had 24 people in our group on a golf birthday trip. Al was able to get a few platters of bar food (chicken, sausages, and fries), even though he said we could bring in food ourselves. The place was packed with our crew along with other locals and travellers. Big Al (he is very tall!) was taking care of everyone so graciously and easily. It was a perfect celebration to finish our 10 day trip..our group left the next day. If you have a chance to visit, say hello to Big Al with gratitude from the Americans!

18/02/2026: Love this place, staff are lovely and friendly. The kebabs are fabulous. Just this evening the chips were so undercooked I had to pop them in the air fryer when I got home. Still love the place though

18/12/2025: This is the second time I buy from them, the second time the same problem, they don't pay attention to what you order and make your food the way they want it not the way you ask, the staff is very rude, disrespectful, and they are paid from our money, if you want your business to continue to run, change the staff and give your customers what they ask for, I'm sorry but I will never buy from you again

27/01/2026: The staff here are absolutely brilliant. We met a lovely young man who was on his first day in the job. He was so nice and thank us for our kindness and support to him on his first day. Definitely be returning to see how he got on.

30/11/2025: Today, my daughter and her friend were denied entry to this establishment, and we believe it was solely because they are Spanish. The situation was discriminatory and extremely unpleasant. We want others to be aware of what happened so they can decide whether they wish to support a place where such incidents occur. 29/09/2025: Rooms were very basic. Window did not open and wasn't shutting fully and it was very windy outside which cooled down the room and the radiator wasn't working. There were spiders in the bedroom, the bathroom and in the halls. Breakfast was made to order, but you could only choose from 7 different things. The quality of the breakfast was mediocre and the "avocado toast" especially was a joke. Location directly by the sea was nice though. We only stayed one night

22/09/2025: The shower wouldn’t drain at all and we asked for assistance at the front desk (phones in the room to call down didn’t work) and they said they couldn’t help. Mind you, the hotel barely had any guests and they could’ve easily moved us rooms but didn’t. Don’t stay here since the only way to clean yourself is by using the bathroom sink

12/12/2025: Good quality fish and chips, as well as some pizza options, such as vegetarian and pepperoni. The place is quite expensive, €20 for fish and chips, which is understandable considering the cost of living there, but not for the portion size. The staff's service could be much better, and at times they were overly attentive when entering the PIN on the card reader (suspiciously, the contactless wasn't working). They're the kind of fixed kiosks you can't touch to protect your PIN. We didn't like what happened. Nor did we appreciate waiting over 30 minutes to be served. It's located away from the main pedestrian area, so the atmosphere in this area is less touristy, and you can find "all sorts" of places. Not recommended unless you go during the day, pay in cash, and order takeaway.

21/02/2026: I had booked the spa over night package as a treat for my mum, sister and niece which included a 30min back massage and we paid for an extra 10min lava foot massage for an extra €15. Myself and my sister got a 20min back massage with 5 mins on the feet with a hot stone and a few effleurages up the leg. The therapists nails was very long, the room was not playing any relaxing music I was listening to i-radio with dance music and the news for the whole duration as were the rest of the girls. The 'relaxation room' was really outdated, the snacks were melted and Aldi brand, the cheese was warm & smelt sour as was the fruit. We mentioned this after our massage and she said she didn't know how to fix or handle this and we still had to pay. Two of us are skin massage therapists ourselves and wouldn't ever go back no disrespect to the therapists as it's down the owner and her work ethics at the end of day.
