25/07/2025: Food was good, but the portions rather small. The desert was a joke, we ordered the crumble and it was completely soggy and a tiny piece - absolutely not worth it. Service was good.

24/07/2025: Husband and I chose this pub while visiting Killarney. We love authentic Irish food so this place really hit the spot. When we walked in, we were told that they didn’t have any tables left and they were completely full. There were a couple seats at the bar thankfully so we asked if we could sit there and eat, she said yes. The two young guys behind the bar gave us some drinks quickly, waitress took our food order a few minutes later. We decided to share the mini potato cakes (€8.95), which were pretty much mashed potatoes mixed with chicken and bacon, and then covered in bread crumbs and fried. It was covered in a mushroom creme sauce which was really good, with a small salad on the side (if you can call it that, it was really a couple pieces of lettuce, a single grape tomato and a drizzle of dressing) My husband got the fish and chips (€17.70) which honestly was probably the best fish and chips he’s had so far during our trip. I was a little jealous of his food after I tried some of his. The fish was almost melt-in-your-mouth quality. Soooo good. I would go back just to eat that fish again. I got the spinach and ricotta ravioli (€20.95) which came with a tomato and basil crème sauce, some garlic bread, and a handful of arugula on top. The pasta itself tasted good (jealous of the fish!) but the garlic bread was so crispy (not burnt) that it was almost too hard to chew. The dish would have been fine without the ‘salad garnish’. The only thing I would point out is that obviously the pub is very busy, and it didn’t look like they had an ample amount of seating, but they must have turned away at least 20-30 people because the back of the pub was closed (due to a large party maybe?) and they just couldn’t find a place for those people to sit. So I guess we got there at just the right time? Whatever - I would still go back JUST for the fish and chips ❤️

25/09/2025: Attended as part of company lunch and Elise was very accommodating in making reservation. Upon arrival allocated dining area ready for our party. Great choice available on menu with orders taken promptly after arriving. Food delivered right on time with presentation and quality top notch. Variety of menu items ordered with good reviews of all from my colleagues. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

19/08/2025: Had a fabulous light lunch on the patio area. Signature steak sandwich, coffee and pear and almond scone. Can only say good things about the waitresses - jovial and patient. Food was excellent, pricing good and arrived promptly. A great little cafe above the strip so quiet and secluded with a lovely atmosphere. Coffee- flat white 8.5/10 - very good. A nice place to rest your legs after visiting the Castle or climbing St Canice’s tower.

03/12/2025: A very pleasant surprise! We weren't expecting much when we went in, yet we ate very well! The goat cheese, strawberry, and walnut salad was excellent and refreshing, and the fish and chips were generous. Plus, the place was clean!

04/06/2025: Visited here with the small one age 3 and 7 the staff are well seasoned in dealing with kids and made ordering easy ,the staff could not have been nicer ,lovely brunch worth a visit

29/11/2025: We had brunch on Saturday for my friend's 40th birthday. The music and staff were fab and we did have a great time. There were a few things that needed improvement and to be aware of if booking that are not on the website and I found it hard to get the information before hand. If you have bottomless prosecco you have to eat, now some of our party have quite strict dietary requirements and didn't want food they ate before they came, this information is not on the website. I know it's brunch but on the website food looks optional. Some of our party don't drink prosecco they were told they were not allowed food, there was a complaint made and it was sorted quickly. Had the chicken quesadillas (wrap) nice but for 14.50 it could have had some chips with it, compared to the burger that was overflowing with chips and onion rings for an extra €2. If don't like chicken I wouldn't bother. The prosecco was decent and flowing, would recommend it, but do feel website needs updating with clear rules so people know before arrival.

13/10/2025: Great mid-week deals. Altough the quality of food has dropped in recent times, especially the chicken wings for the deal on Wednesdays. Hygiene needs improving also, the tables are sticky from dirt and poor cleaning, door handles are filthy, and the bathrooms are disgusting!

19/12/2025: I ordered a cake as a family present from The Courtyard Cafe.. It was ready and given on payment with no fuss. The staff were nice and good and I'm writing particularly because the cake was first class.. the price was really good for the top job that was done. I'm going there in future. Needless to say the Birthday cake was gone into the bellies in no time. People commented on how good the cake looked and it was tasty regards, Anthony.

20/11/2025: Stopped in for a vegetarian breakfast this morning. Best breakfast in town. Very reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly. Only issue is the card machine is broken so need to pay in cash, but they told me that when I arrived. Would definitely recommend 👌

21/12/2025: Cheapest fish and chips is now 18 euro, earlier this year hake and chips was 13, now there's nothing for less than 18, it's just too expensive for what you get.

06/12/2025: Both the cod and the hake were fantastic, with crispy batter and juicy fish. A generous portion at an affordable price. However, it's only for takeaway; there's no option to eat in. Highly recommended.

27/07/2025: Basic fare , mostly seafood menu, average pricing, friendly staff and bookings probably needed at peak as the restaurant not too big. People with reduced mobility won't have any problems.

04/01/2026: Had this reservation booked for my birthday and I was left completely disappointed. Food took an hour to come out after starters had been served. Staff were a little bit lost, there was multiple people serving our table, even offering us a desert menu when dinner had not been served yet. My partners burger came out soggy and just fell apart while eating. The salmon meal was mediocre with the potatoes being served lukewarm. A lot of the furnishings in the restaurant were also stained and just not looking pleasant. Overall not worth the prices charged here.

15/12/2025: Vanessa our waiter was cordial polite extremely professional and a wonderful experience to our evening meal. A true assit to your corporate culture of excellence.

22/12/2025: Waited for over 5 min while 2 staff members walked by the counter ignoring people wating. When Deliveroo driver came in he was seen to. I was then ignored while the gentleman who came in after me was served. 0 stars, no atmosphere or customer service.

07/09/2025: We had lunch at this cafe after a walk in Kilcornan Woods and before heading to Galway. I had a slice of beetroot, goat cheese, and walnut quiche there, which was a real treat for the taste buds. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. :)

01/08/2025: I did love the poached eggs breakfast but €4.20 for a latte is a step too far. €4.00 for take away with own cup. There is a well known lovely cafe in Galway city that only charges €2.80 for a latte with own cup and has the most amazing food at great prices. Will bypass now en route to Burren to pick up a coffee from now on
