31/12/2024: Muy, muy decepcionado. Visita anualmente @xmas pero nunca más. Gnocchi no comestible, hamburguesas secas, patatas fritas tan fuerte rebotó cuando trató de comer con un tenedor, la merluza era horrible. Platos muy desnudos, sin ensalada de acompañamiento en cualquier plato. Los ñoquis solo tenían un pequeño trozo de pan de ajo, las porciones eran extremadamente pequeñas. No demasiado ocupado así que no hay excusa. Quedó esperando años para ordenar y de nuevo para pagar. Dije que la comida no era buena, pero le dije que no le diré disculpas al chef. No volveré.

08/10/2024: Good for a pint of Guinness to wind down the evening while sitting out front to watch the people. There are bouncers at the door checking ID's but they could clearly tell that I am definitely of age. Inside, loud with music at 8pm on a Saturday night. So it was outside with the pint glass and thankfully, no one smoking out there. Great to sit for an hour and watch the idiots peel out from Eyre Square in their fancy cars. And watch the taxis make the u-turn to the stand directly in front. And when someone did decide to light up, finish off the pint and head onwards. Lots of tourists in town this evening so it was busy all around.

25/08/2025: My family and I had a wonderful meal this weekend at the New Yorker. The menu had lots of great options for small plates and mains and the food was quite good. But the whole experience was greatly enhanced by the wonderful service from our server, David. From his first interaction with us, he was engaging and humorous and he maintained that level of warmth and professionalism through our meal. He truly enhanced our dining experience. If you are heading to the New Yorker soon , ask for David by name. He makes the whole experience better.

21/08/2025: Was there with family. Our server Aoife was amazing and really helpful. Food and rinks were lovely. Would highly recommend.

13/08/2025: Didn’t eat here, but wouldn’t go back for drinks. Bartenders were not friendly at all and refused to make mixed drinks for Americans, but then made them for their friends who ordered right after. One acted as if he didn’t know what Tito’s vodka was. They had great live music and a lively crowd, but a very unwelcoming bunch. Americans should skip this spot and spend their money elsewhere. One of the few pubs the group had anything negative to say about.

26/07/2025: Cozy place with low light, I liked it!

14/06/2025: They have the best pancake!!! The staff are accommodating. Kids are enjoying a lot too. Definitely coming back.

14/07/2025: He estado planeando venir a Forest Avenue durante siglos y no me decepcionó. Cena con amigos. Pequeño restaurante con un ambiente relajado encantador. El menú degustación era fantástico. Cada plato, incluyendo todas las sorpresas, muy bien cocinado y presentado. Preciosa botella de Riesling (tan buena que tuvimos que tomar 2! ). No es barato, pero absolutamente sentía que valía la pena. Definitivamente volveré.

22/06/2025: Me encanta este restaurante. He sido muchas veces y siempre siempre brillante. No tengo ni idea de cómo no tiene una estrella Michelin, ya que está allí como uno de los mejores restaurantes de Irlanda. Cada plato era algo que nunca había experimentado antes y estaba cocinado a la perfección, perfectamente equilibrado y lleno de sabor.

12/07/2025: Tuvimos un gran almuerzo aquí. La sopa de calabaza estaba excelente y disfruté el sándwich de jamón y queso tostado. La camarera nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos.

22/03/2025: Personal grosero, no serviría "no residentes" Fuimos a caminar - en el almuerzo después de visitar Torc Waterfall y Muckross House y Abbey. Nos informó que es resdients solo a pesar de ofrecer reservas en línea para no residentes. En ese momento había muchas mesas dentro y fuera disponibles no hay absolutamente ninguna necesidad de rechazar el servicio. Gasta tu dinero en otra parte.

24/08/2025: That's not a main portion of calamari rings, no matter how you put it. Extra point for a staff member rectifying this by selling this tiny snack as a starter (that's why 5 stars for service, too).

19/08/2025: Well ignore the smoking area at front, people can do as they please. I loved the furniture, the layout was interesting. The staff, even busy, were very friendly and prompt. Couldn’t fault the food.

25/08/2025: Lovely place for a sit down on a warm day, stunning garden in a handy location. Staff are brilliant and keen to help. Food is nice enough but quite pricy. Wouldn't go frequently, more as an odd treat.

17/08/2025: It's a very cozy restaurant, very good and the food is great. Very nice atmosphere, and quite affordable for the price-quality ratio!!!

17/08/2025: We came for dinner and a snack. The welcome is warm, it's quiet, and there are different areas depending on the number of people who want to eat (sofas, tables, etc.). The service is good, and the staff is very helpful. The food is very good, ideal for tasting local specialties. I recommend it.

21/08/2025: Tips & Improvements Beautiful exhibition space spread over two floors and very interesting porcelain pieces. Unfortunately, the prices are very, very high and often oversized. Tourists aren't the target audience here, which we don't quite understand. We would still stop again on our way along the coast to see what's new. Improvements Offering smaller items with corresponding prices. We honestly don't understand why you don't take advantage of this. As a tourist, you can only fit so much in your luggage, but you're always looking for a nice, unique souvenir as a keepsake. Your shop has a lot of potential there :-)

18/08/2025: A very nicely laid out pottery shop, with plenty of interesting patterns and designs. If you can't make it to the workshop itself, Lisbeth Mulcahy in Dingle town also sells some of Louis' pieces.

15/08/2025: The treatment we were given as soon as we entered the restaurant was extremely disappointing and actually quite disgusting! We were a large group, I had booked the reservation months ago and because I was 15 mins early (to a mostly empty restaurant at 4:45) I was told I’d have to wait for seating and the man at the front desk was extremely rude because I had arrived early! I have never encountered such rude and disrespectful behaviour from restaurant staff in my life!! My sister and her friend had to stand for 10 minutes even though there was a room full of free tables and seats. The male waiter did not seem to care! Then he continued to tell an elderly couple to get up off their seats and finish their drinks. He could have easily taken chairs from the mostly empty dining hall!! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing! What kind of treatment is this for customers? I’ve been to the other restaurants in Dingle as I live in the area, and I know for a fact none of them would ever dare to treat customers in such a disgusting way. We asked to change the waiter after this and luckily we had a wonderful older women and she was incredible to us! Thank god the restaurant has a women like her! Otherwise I’m sure it would have been shut down a long time ago! Everything was going fine until we went to pay the bill. The “manager” tried over charging us and blamed people that had already payed and gotten receipts on not having paid. It was a huge issue for her to realise that she was in fact wrong! I could not believe her attitude to lie about people having not paid, that had clearly paid. Even that they had receipts to prove it. She did not even say sorry. When we made comments about the rude behaviour of both the male staff at the entrance and her behaviour she said “write whatever review you want, we have the Americans coming anyway!” … utterly shocking experience. I have never encountered such a horrible dining experience in Ireland. Even another member of staff followed me to the toilet to privately apologise to me for the treatment of other staff members. Stay clear of this restaurant. There are many more deserving restaurants in Dingle that provide fantastic service and food! The Boatyard is definitely not one of them!

10/08/2025: Edited to answer the restaurant's reply: we did have funds, first the waitress said she needed a physical card and we only had our mobile phone because we used it in EVERY establishment without any problems, my husband went out in the rain and went to get it, when he came back the same waitress said the revolut card wasn't accepted, we asked for an ATM to withdraw the money and we used THE SAME card for that, so money on the bill wasn't the problem. The food wasn't great, super small portions for extortionate prices, it's a real tourist trap. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. "Bad. They don't accept payment by revolut card and they don't put up a sign to warn you. We had to leave the restaurant to withdraw money in a heavy rain"

11/08/2025: Not a great experience. Ordered the curry to find 2 long hairs in it. Was going to let it go as I know these things can happen. Then I found a large piece of folded up paper. Not acceptable at all. They told me they'd put me on a fresh one. I told them it was OK I didn't want another. I ordered a drink while waiting on the kids to finish. You'd expect to be told it was on the house but that didn't happen. The manager only knocked the meal off the bill, which was only fair when I didn't eat it. Very poor managerial skills. Wont be returning.

15/07/2025: An absolute MUST! The food, the drinks, the service, and the ambiance 👍 the best food in 10 days in Ireland. We felt incredibly comfortable.
