Guinea Pig
Dublin
22/03/2026: Great service. We were the only ones there so it was quiet but I would be confident that the service wouldn't be any different. Quite possibly the best irish coffee I have ever had too!
10/11/2025: Called in one evening without a reservation and we're seated no problem. We are both vegetarian and knew that they had a vegetarian menu - this is not on the door outside so its handy to know!
Some elements of dishes were not available but the food was really great, we both had starters, mains and desserts and yes, a little more pricey than we would usually go for, but worth it for a treat in my opinion. Atmosphere and service were wonderful!

McGettigan's
Dublin
08/04/2026: Please do not eat out of this restaurant. I’m in bed with two days when I told the staff they said there’s nothing they can do. It was my problem. Please do not. My Kids is in hospital whatever you do do not eat out of this restaurant and I was forced to pay.
02/04/2026: Really good beef, waitstaff informed me it was grass-fed free-range Irish beef. Tender and tasty, it came with chips hat were pillow soft inside and crunchy outside. Perfectly done. I ordered my ribeye medium. Drink: long Island iced tea. I love a mixed drink that doesnt lead with alcohol as its first note, just leaves you relaxed and enjoying your meal. . Dessert Irish tiramisu. Delicious with black coffee. Will be back again.

Longford Arms Hotel
Longford
11/04/2026: Very nice hotel!
The room is pleasant and comfortable.
However, at 11:00 PM, a concert started in the bar next door, so sleeping was a bit difficult. Finding a parking space right next door was also a little tricky.
13/01/2026: Food standards have really gone down we went for a sunday dinner and it was a big let down compared to meals we have had there many times before.

Cork International Hotel
Cork
21/09/2025: Very unwelcoming staff. Food was sad and miserable. My pork roast was completely dried out, the rest of the food wasn't much better.
27/08/2025: Ate lunch here before flying out of Cork airport. We both ordered burgers. I noticed how quickly they came out and how fast other tables got their food too. I worked in hotels myself for years and that is not necessarily a good sign. The burgers themselves were ok but they seemed somewhat ready made. We both had upset stomachs by the evening time. I do not recommend. The staff and service were excellent. I can’t give more than 1 star because of the food issue.

McCambridge's
Galway
09/04/2026: I am commenting specifically on the selection of local whiskey and spirits. They have a very large one, including lots of mini bottles or good Irish whiskey. They let you try a bunch or local whiskey and gin for free, along with some competent explanations. Overall, I'm very impressed with this store and will definitely be coming again the next time I'm in Ireland.
05/04/2026: What a great place with lots of yummy irish brands and kind workers

Kingfisher
Dundalk
03/04/2026: My favorite restaurant in dundalk. Deserves 5 stars. Noel and staff really welcome us, every single time. They build wonderful connections with customers. Food always perfect, hot and plentiful. Cant say enough good things about this place
19/03/2026: One of the best places in Dundalk to try Irish dishes at a great price.
The fish and chips and the Irish breakfast are really filling and satisfying. For the quality, the prices are very reasonable, €17 for an Irish breakfast and €20 for haddock fish and chips.
It’s also in a great location, right in the town centre, which makes it even more convenient.

Treyvaud's
Killarney
03/05/2026: The quality of the food was genuinely dire. We couldn’t finish our meal let alone enjoy it.
24/04/2026: Treyvaud's was recommended to us as a bit of an unknown gem, and it truly delivered. The food was excellent, the service knowledgeable and friendly, and the atmosphere was great. I will definitely come back again if I'm in town.

Malt House
Dundalk
30/11/2025: Dead pub. Had it's day and is now rotting and decaying.
Went in for a pint and to watch the football, felt like I was in a strangers living room
Won't be coming back any time soon at all
Needs massive improvement in all aspects

The Malt
Dublin
24/02/2026: Went in here for a quiet pint with a friend I am on a crutch small disability r leg the barman that came on middle aged guy told me to leave because I was on a crutch so I'd had one pint was sitting on a stool at the bar went across the road to Kenny no problem there ill let you take what you may from this so much for friendly staff abs good atmosphere my friend complained to the barman and he said oh he might fall so blatant discrimination against a man with a slight disability by the way I have never fallen anywhere I would like to see what the owners have to say about this bar man's actions
29/09/2025: (Traducido por Google) El fantástico pub siempre ofrece entretenimiento en vivo y la comida es de primera calidad. Además, el personal es muy servicial.

The Jolly Monk
Dublin
04/04/2026: (Booked on AirBnB) Great, central location and has option for three single beds in one room.
Whilst the beds were comfortable, I would not recommend this place for light sleepers as there were extremely loud, thumping music on a parrarel street from 4pm (until past 10pm) which even made our toiletries literally shake on the shelves in the bathroom.
Room was dusty, no tv and appalling water pressure - even attempting to flush the toilet was hard work which needed holding down and multiple attempts to do the basics. Shower pressure and temperature was awful, like a dripping tap and did not reach a warm temperature at all
Handwash was a Dove bottle with some cheap refil, last time I checked, Dove shea butter handwash was not blue or translucent 😂🙃
Left bags at the 'reception' (pretty make shift desk in corridor) as room was not ready yet and it really was the definition of 'leave at your own risk' as bags were not secured in the back room or anything and just left by the doorway for anyone to grab if they wanted.
Lift was broken for whole duration of our stay and would not be accessible for those that cannot walk up multiple flights of stairs.
If you are on a tight budget and will only be in the room for sleeping then it is ok for the bare minimum bed but would not recommend otherwise especially for the noise pollution, which I am surprised not many others have commented on.
07/02/2026: The room was okey, but the bathroom got dirty so quickly, the room was quite cold too. It was not cleaned even though we asked to clean it if possible. The noise on the weekends was terrible, there is some techno club just underneath so don’t expect to sleep to until about 3-4am. The location was great though, very easy to get everywhere. So if all the above doesn’t bother you, it would be a good option.

Scarriff Inn
14/04/2026: The Scarriff Inn is a must-stop destination on the Ring of Kerry, famous for what it calls ["Ireland's Best Known View"]. This family-run spot in Caherdaniel overlooks the stunning Kenmare Bay and Derrynane.
The Experience
The View: Breathtaking, "million-dollar" vistas of the Atlantic coast and lush green hills are the main draw.
The Vibe: It operates as a busy, well-organized stop primarily for tour groups, featuring a cafeteria-style setup designed to get large crowds in and out efficiently.
The Food: While some find the quality average or "tourist-priced," others highly recommend the Seafood Chowder, Irish Lamb Stew, and Shepherd’s Pie.
Added Perks: There is a large gift shop filled with local souvenirs and Skellig-themed items, as well as a cozy fireplace for blustery days.
Pro Tip: If you want a window seat with a view, try to arrive either very early or late to avoid the peak tour bus hours
12/04/2026: Perfect view with beer and a bite to eat.
