01/11/2024: After touring the olde gaol on a rainy day, this pub was a perfect place for lunch. Service was great and caring for our happiness. Soup was awesome and scampi and chips done perfectly. We couldn't have chosen better. They have music and or comedy at night.

23/10/2024: We popped in for a pint of Guinness following a visit to Kilmainham jail, we were served by a lovely bubbly chatty barmaid Rachel. Good Guinness in nice surroundings.

No matter how often we go, we’re always impressed by the quality and flavors. The staff and owners make us feel right at home—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about creating a great experience for everyone. It’s rare to find a place that’s this reliable and welcoming, and Cafe Grey has truly become our go-to spot. Can’t recommend it enough!

14/10/2024: We stopped here on a pub tour I'd organised for me wife's 40th. Jessica was really accommodating in planning this in advance and had an area out the back for us. She arranged food to be ordered in for us also. Lovely turf fire at the front bar too. Definitely recommend.

26/08/2024: I have been going to Kilkee for the last forty years, and The Pantry has gotten progressively bewildering in what it is trying to achieve. Back in the day, it was a thriving Café and bakery, serving cooked breakfasts, sandwiches, and delicious treats. They have changed a lot over the years, and the current layout doesn't do it justice. The majority of the space is taken up with what I assume is intended to be an Italian style Delhi, with displays of jams, wines, olive oils and pastas. This runs alongside a hot counter and baked goods stand, and a seperate coffee counter. This peculiar layout is entirely at the expense of adequate indoor seating, in the wilds of west clare. There are a handful of small tables inside the front door, and an outdoor seating area with no awning or umbrellas despite frequent heavy rain. The food is very good quality, but you are paying Café prices for essentially take-away food, which is served in single use plastic, even if you are eating "in", and the staff can be gruff. The Pantry gets away with this solely because of the lack of competition. Save your money and head for Beag in Kilrush.

26/08/2024: The sandwiches at The Pantry are hard to beat. Top-quality ingredients, generous portions and a wide variety of options. Their scones and carrot cake are also well worth trying. The only downside is a lack of indoor seating which surely is a bit of a must given the unpredictable weather on the west coast.

20/10/2024: Pros: Supermacs as a chain is awesome. I love their chicken. Cons: This particular branch is in disarray. The staff seem to lack effective leadership. Although they appear well meaning and friendly, they are in chaos. This results in substantial delays for everything. You might be quicker driving to the branch in mulhuddart and back. It might be quicker. The stress of the chaos is palpable.

29/09/2024: Filthy place. Staff are useless. Stood for 5 minutes waiting to order and was ignored. Total waste of time.

18/10/2024: Visited mid morning. Well stocked shop on site,Supermac's,with the usual menu. Generally, it is very clean,which is important.

26/09/2024: Where do I start, if I could give 0 stars I would, first of all I was waiting at the counter for 10 mins to order while the guy was talking with his co worker but when I finally ordered, I got a meal A pizza with chips. It took 45 mins to make my order and even I saw the guy make the pizza and put it in a box and I didn’t receive it for 25 mins after. So when I finally received my pizza upon opening it to eat, the toppings were not spread evenly over the pizza and I picked up a slice and they all fell off the pizza including the cheese, the pizza was also extremely soggy ( probably due to it being left for 25 mins. Overall I like papa johns pizza however in this particular place it was the worst pizza I have ever eaten, I even have a terrible stomach ache after it.

13/09/2024: We were staying in Breaffy for a week with young kids and this place was perfect for us for lunches and dinner. Good variety of food and the staff are all excellent and clearly well trained. Mairead in particular went above and beyond for the kids especially which we really appreciated. Keep up the good work guys.

31/07/2024: Great lunch here after SPA in Breaffy. Mairead seated us and was so attentive throughout our time here. Got the wrap and wings and we were delighted with all. Will definitely be back very soon 😊
