Pizza Time
Tralee
31/05/2025: Some of the service was relatively lackluster, menus were dirty, and the restrooms and restaurant weren't particularly clean.
The food was good, though.
Gluten-free pizza and pasta available.
18/05/2025: We ate pasta there. Everything tasted like it was pre-made sauce with lots of garlic powder. The food wasn't good. The service was very friendly and nice, but very loud, as the dishes we ordered were constantly being called into the kitchen. The restroom was simply disgusting. It wasn't cleaned, it was incredibly dirty. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

Gavin's Cafe
Westport
08/09/2024: It's very disappointing because we didn't even qualify. On the Internet it is written that it is open, but we found a sign on the door that it is closed. We were detoured from the route because of this cafe
23/08/2024: Stopped here for a quick sandwich, very tasty and fresh. The staff were friendly.

George V
20/04/2025: Top notch food and service in a beautiful dining area. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. Both breakfast and dinner are not to be missed
24/12/2024: The George V Restaurant at Ashford Castle offers a truly magical atmosphere, especially during the festive season. The elegant Christmas decorations, the historic castle setting, and the warmth of the fireplace create a charming and luxurious ambiance that makes the visit feel special from the moment you arrive.
While the atmosphere was impeccable, the overall experience fell short in other areas. The food, unfortunately, was inconsistent. The scallops were overcooked and overwhelmed by a chaotic plate presentation, while the winter salad impressed with its fresh ingredients and creative dressing. The black sole fillet was cooked well but accompanied by two types of potatoes, making it feel less refined, more akin to pub fare than fine dining. Desserts were limited to mousses and soufflés, with no cakes or other creative options, highlighting the need for a skilled pâtissier to add variety and finesse to the menu.
Service, though attentive in some respects, did not meet the standards expected of such a prestigious venue. Key oversights included:
Coats were not taken upon arrival, an unusual omission in a high-end setting.
Wine was served only after the food had been brought to the table, disrupting the natural flow of the meal.
Basic fine dining etiquette was missing. For instance:
Serving and clearing from incorrect sides.
Crossing into guests' personal space rather than walking around the table.
Stacking plates while clearing.
Not replacing dropped napkins promptly.
Additionally, the waiting staff lacked the refinement and poise expected at such an establishment, detracting from the overall sense of occasion.
That said, we appreciated Manager Andrej's warm attention and the thoughtful anniversary treat, which added a personal touch to the evening.
However, given the steep pricing, the value for money was disappointing. The quality of both food and service does not justify the high cost, leaving us feeling that the experience lacked the polish and excellence one expects at such a renowned location.
While the ambiance and charm are undeniable, significant improvements in both service etiquette and culinary execution are needed to make the George V Restaurant a truly exceptional dining destination.

The Irish Arms
Lisdoonvarna
17/05/2025: On May 17, we stopped here shortly after 1 p.m. during an e-bike tour from Liscannor to Doolin.
Surprisingly, a lunch menu was already available at that time, in addition to the usual lunch offerings.
We ate a delicious vegetable soup and the roast of the day, consisting of turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, savoy cabbage, peas, carrots, and gravy.
We highly recommend this dish.
The pub itself is typically Irish and very cozy, and the owner is warm and hospitable.
We cannot comment on the rooms available for rent.
06/05/2025: We just arrived from Canada and entered the Irish Arms. We were not greeted or given eye contact from the bartender server. Never having tasted an Irish lager, I asked for a small sample. Her abrupt reply: we don't give samples. We left.

McGettigan's
Dublin
07/06/2025: Well cared for by my waiter, Tam. Had a vegetarian pizza,€17. Very large restaurant and bar.
04/06/2025: Went for our niece's birthday last week. Lovely food and friendly service.
The menu has changed...sadly they removed the beyond meat plant burger. But they had fish and chips or margarita pizza, so there were still options available for non-meat eaters.

Dublin
27/05/2025: Great food at a great price. Fast delivery
24/05/2025: Giulio's Takeaway Mulhuddart is a chipper fast food spot in Mulhuddart village. The place is always busy. The staff are amazing with their job. They are friendly, quick, and prompt. The food is a 4/5 tasty and good enough for a fast food outlet.

Giovannis Galway
Galway
15/05/2025: Very tasty good food and they are not like other fast food restaurants. Their ingredients are really high quality. The size of food for one person is almost like for two which is really good. I love the taste. Really you must try it.
25/04/2025: Great spot for chips and battered sausage on late night in Galways West End after a pub with music night out.
Nice staff, funny late night customers.

PoppySeed Clarinbridge
Clarinbridge
01/06/2025: Absolutely crap! No wonder businesses are closing. Terrible service. Orders incorrect. Misleading over priced menu. Over cooked cold greasy food.
You would be better off going to the deli next door!
19/01/2025: I had a lovely carrot cake bun yesterday ... However, for people allergic to coconut - could you please stop putting coconut into carrot cake -- it doesnt need COCONUT!!! I got a pain in my chest after eating eat that bun but luckily my inhaler saved me. Allergies are no joke!

Riverbank Restaurant
Tullow
01/05/2025: I originally had given this restaurant a 5 star review on the back of having been there a number of times. However, having recently returned, I found that this place has dropped a lot in quality and service. I believe it has changed hands/under new management and it would appear to have gone downhill since then. Such a pity, it was a great place to eat and family friendly.
11/04/2025: Unfortunately, food was just ok and that's me being "generous". Service felt like we were back in 90s. Atmosphere was like a nearly closing down place. Huge potential in the right hands, but definitely not into whomever runs it now. I'm not the person to complain and haven't said anything while settling the bill (which was 74 euro for 2 people and not even a "thank you" received). Won't be rushing again to eat here, for sure.

The Crowe's Nest
Conga
20/05/2025: Can I endorse all the other positive revues with the same enthusiasm. I would particularly highlight Samuel and Jason who extended that extra effort in providing a most pleasurable service resulting in three days of consistent satisfaction. The stars reflect the experience.
14/05/2025: Food was good service was as good as the staff could do with the limited number of them compared to the number of occupied tables. They were friendly and efficient but at times seemed rushed

The Pantry
Kilkee
20/05/2025: The pantry has changed now its takeaway cups...food is nice but pricey...can anyone justify a cardboard hot cup of water with a teabag thrown in and get charged 4 euro 20 cents...I can't justify that
05/05/2025: Beautiful sandwiches and smoothies.
