29/09/2026: The staff is reluctant, grumpy, we had to wait a lot for everything, food and drinks, even though we were there on a Sunday afternoon, there were hardly any guests besides us, the restaurant was dark, the lighting was poor, I had to use my phone's flashlight to read the menu, we will never go there again. Very loud, we couldn't even talk

06/09/2026: 5 waitresses and service was dismal! Food was edible, just - less said the better. Just NO!

13/08/2026: Avoid!!!! below average food poor quality sandwiches . Stale bread a ham salad sandwich consisted of packet ham with lettuce only. We asked for fresher bread and proper salad filling. Sandwich returned with slightly fresher bread and just a tomato and easy single cheese. Staff very young not experienced at all but friendly. But whoever is doing the cooking needs to go. 2 sandwiches ordered mine never arrived and when it did 30 minutes later was completely wrong. I returned same and got my money back. Not good enough will never return a bad reflection on Kilkenny Design despite not being managed by them

02/05/2026: I am genuinely shocked and horrified. That was the worst meal I have ever eaten in my life. Every single component of the breakfast was terrible - it was comically poor. The beans were fizzing with vinegar - either that or they were out of date. The egg was powdered, microwaved and black. The potatoes were uncooked as was the ‘roasted’ tomato. Please, please avoid. The waitresses were lovely and the saving grace, but the chefs need a stern talking to

13/10/2026: We had a great lunch! We were taken care of by Maria, and she was fantastic! She made sure our allergens were respected and was very proactive checking everything for us with dessert as well!

26/09/2026: Can’t speak to the food because we left after waiting more than 20 minutes to get served. Came back to meet my travel partner for a drink and had multiple staff walk past me at the bar. Waited another 20 minutes without either stopping to take an order. Not sure what is happening here but the service is God awful.

02/10/2026: Unfortunately, the dough was raw! I ordered a chicken and catupiry cheese pizza with a stuffed crust. The chicken was delicious, and so was the catupiry, but the problem was the raw dough. The crust was so thick that when I went to cut it, the inside was completely raw. I had to open the pizza and finish baking it at home to avoid ruining the pizza and my money.

19/10/2026: Lovely restaurant to grab a coffee, however staff need training as more interested in chatting to each other than customer service.

08/10/2026: Veggie platter on menu which i have had several times, as i don't eat meat, arrived with cheap meat all over it. I was told by the Muslim staff to "pick it off so" I asked for it to be remade without the meat, it was taken in the back and meat picked off and brought straight back out, i was again told it would be remade and waited and waited to be told the kitchen was closed. I wonder if the all Muslim staff received food with pork on it and was told to just pick it off would they be OK with that.

05/11/2026: The food was excellent and the atmosphere was fantastic, I highly recommend it.

05/11/2026: The serving is massive (but it also costs 20€+). We got there around 21:00 and they said orders are only for takeaway because even if they close at 22:00, they still need to clean up to be ready for closing. Keep this in mind if you want to dine there after some late night drinking. The food is ok!

13/08/2026: A very good fish and chips, not the cheapest but of good quality.

31/07/2026: Big Bones in Fisherman's Pie, Fresh Cod was Frozen, Eton Mess lives up to it's name, as it was a complete mess, cream & strawberries & "fresh cream" tasted synthetic. Beef Burger was the only positive. 2 wine glasses replaced 1 after the other with chips at the bottom of the glasses 🍷 €157.70 for that let down, won't be coming back.

06/08/2026: Quite busy cafe with expensive and so-so coffee. Cakes were decent.

29/08/2026: This is going to be my Google review so disappointing we go here every now and again as a treat staff we’re so rude cracking her knuckles as she served us Absolutely shocking experience. We ordered all of our food together, yet it came out in different stages, leaving some of us eating while others were still sitting there waiting. By the time we eventually had everything, half of the food was cold. The chips were like rocks — hard, dry and practically inedible. The onion rings were cold and burnt, and as for the chicken, the photos speak for themselves. After opening it up and seeing what we were served, we certainly weren’t going to eat it. When an entire order is placed together, it’s reasonable to expect the meals to arrive together, hot and properly cooked. Instead, we paid good money for food that was cold, overcooked and extremely disappointing. Most of it was left behind. A complete waste of money and without a doubt one of the worst meals we’ve been served. Definitely won’t be returning to Dinos Ballincollig

25/08/2026: Overall a good shop and I always have a good experience. I come here often and I get the impression that they are understaffed, especially when it’s busy. The food is always nice

20/08/2026: Ordered 12.20. Estimated for 1.05 latest. Marked delivered at 1.20. Food never arrived. Not even a phonecall after waiting an hour! Too late to order elsewhere. Disgraceful! Should have checked the reviews before ordering. Avoid!

15/09/2026: I ordered a veggie burger and ate it at the hotel. Afterward, I threw up all night and had extreme stomach pain. I hadn't eaten anything else in the hours leading up to that, so it must have been the burgers fault. Not recommended.

05/09/2026: Where do I begin, ordered food with the young one yesterday, upon finishing my chips I was still hungry so I got a chicken wrap while my daughter was still finishing hers, got the wrap, then my daughter wanted to go over 2 meters to look and pick out her ice cream for after food, we weren't there 1 minute when our food we hadn't finished was snatched and binned. I asked them when I realized why did they do that, 'oh were ye not finished', absolutely astonishing. When the matter was told to the manager, he just banged on the till screen, went to the chef and no response, i said I want my money back please, still no response or an apology from this so called manager with the chin strap for a beard. We got the ice cream and left, but when ordering the pink crunch ice cream, one of the workers tried to put one of the ingredients in the microwave as it got hard(it was still in plastic bottle), he said he'd open a new one, but when we left and on our way to car, that ingredient in the ice cream had hardened and was like hard glue, ice cream inedible. An absolute disgrace of an establishment, and eye sore to the community while taking people's hard earned money in the bin. Not a clue between them. Will never be back.
