26/08/2024: I have been going to Kilkee for the last forty years, and The Pantry has gotten progressively bewildering in what it is trying to achieve. Back in the day, it was a thriving Café and bakery, serving cooked breakfasts, sandwiches, and delicious treats. They have changed a lot over the years, and the current layout doesn't do it justice. The majority of the space is taken up with what I assume is intended to be an Italian style Delhi, with displays of jams, wines, olive oils and pastas. This runs alongside a hot counter and baked goods stand, and a seperate coffee counter. This peculiar layout is entirely at the expense of adequate indoor seating, in the wilds of west clare. There are a handful of small tables inside the front door, and an outdoor seating area with no awning or umbrellas despite frequent heavy rain. The food is very good quality, but you are paying Café prices for essentially take-away food, which is served in single use plastic, even if you are eating "in", and the staff can be gruff. The Pantry gets away with this solely because of the lack of competition. Save your money and head for Beag in Kilrush.

26/08/2024: The sandwiches at The Pantry are hard to beat. Top-quality ingredients, generous portions and a wide variety of options. Their scones and carrot cake are also well worth trying. The only downside is a lack of indoor seating which surely is a bit of a must given the unpredictable weather on the west coast.

09/03/2025: Everything about this restaurant SCREAMS service, & all with a smile from every member of staff. This restaurant runs like a well oiled machine that produces HOT food served to you practically immediately. All members of staff serve and clean as they go ensuring that you the customer is happy in situ.

24/02/2025: Ordering from the mill grill was very handy but as an ongoing problem now with late deliverys and when it does come its cold even last night I ordered a takeaway at 8.15 was told as usual 40 to 45 minutes 9.40 and it still hadn't arrived rang was told it's on the way I said no thanks I get a refund and cancelled it knowing when it did arrive it would be frozen and the chips soggie l definently would be ordering from there again it's a shame when Sam Kingston and his daughter ran it it was absolutely delicious just to and I went in this evening for my refund and the attitude of the girl I was taking was very unprofessional I was told we usually don't delivery to that area bull we are getting a takeaway there for years she said we had a new delivery driver ya he had my eircode he didn't know where to go bull an absolute disgrace it's a pity to have staff that shrug their shoulders when you tell them you won't be ordering from them again I also got in contact with just eat

27/03/2025: Fuimos a almorzar el domingo hace poco, hay que esperar una mesa , no aceptan reservas, solo esperamos unos 30 minutos, que estaba bien. El entorno es precioso en la orilla del lago. El personal era muy bueno. La comida era bastante buena y en cuanto al precio era casi correcto. En general una experiencia agradable. Volvería de nuevo

07/03/2025: I stayed at the hotel and partook of their breakfast every morning at sunrise! I also tried the restaurant one night. Phenomenal meals, would definitely eat here again.

08/04/2025: We went for dinner here on Sunday and to say the food was shocking is an understatement when I sent my dinner back I was told very rudely by a staff member our chef is under pressure I also noticed we weren't the only table to send back dinners that we waited over an hour for I won't be returning

18/01/2025: Had our table booked and shown too it that was grand, was left sitting there for ages and eventually had to look for someone too actually serve us. Food came fast and was delicious, can not fault the food what so ever it was perfect 👌. But then strangely I'm the middle of eating our dinner the woman came back and asked would we like to pay cash or card and stood there until I paid? I did not appreciate that at all it was very rude. But what ever about the service I would go back for the food it was 100%

21/11/2024: Ordered the bacon cheese burger and fries and a SF chicken burger and fries via deliveroo yesterday. My partner's SF chicken burger tasted good. Halfway through eating my own beef based bacon cheese burger I found the flavour a bit "funny" but didn't think much of it. Circa an hour later I felt extremely unwell. I could not sleep from the level of nausea and this morning still felt very poorly. Once I ate today, I immediately felt nauseous again and have thrown up twice. I fear there must have been some form of cross contamination, bad meat or a bacteria issue in their kitchen. I'm feeling utterly wretched and the only thing that my partner and I have have eaten differently the last few days was my beef burger versus their SF burger so it must be the burger that has caused this.

28/03/2025: Definitely the best spice bag in sligo 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟for the spice bag. I ordered vegetarian Singapore noodles one evening to take away and when I got home and opened it it had chicken and prawns in it. I went there again and eat in the restaurant and ordered the vegetarian noodles that are cooked in soy sauce and it tasted like it was cooked in a pan that had meat in it as the oil on the food had a meaty taste to it and really under seasoned I couldn't taste any soy sauce or any seasoning at all , the spring rolls were nice , but I was disappointed with the lack of flavour both times I ordered a noodle dish and they should be cooking vegetarian dishes in a separate wok with no meat residue in the oil. I will definitely be returning for a spice bag but not sure if I would order another noodle dish from them as I don't like the taste of meat on my vegetarian food. The staff that I have met are absolutely lovely and very kind and welcoming.

10/03/2025: The food here is top class. Couldn’t fault anything from the starters to main courses, everything was great.

14/02/2025: The customer service was excellent. A young man named Gora assisted us; he was very polite and, most importantly, made sure we were enjoying our food. The food was also delicious, and the place was quiet and peaceful.

29/03/2025: Tuvimos una celebración familiar en el restaurante Rolys anoche tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa. Khan y su personal eran excepcionales y la atención al detalle en la comida, el ambiente y el servicio era insuperable. Nos hicieron muy bienvenidos e hicieron nuestra noche muy especial Gracias y éxito continuo a todos ustedes Joanne Heaney y su familia

14/03/2025: Recibido por recepcionista muy severo. Llegamos 5 minutos antes, lo que parecía ser un problema. Decepcionado de que no nos reconocieran. No pregunté nuestros nombres acaba de entrar en el comedor. Comedor congelado. Pedí que se pusiera calor. Posteriormente apagado a petición de los nuevos comensales sin preguntarnos. Mi comida llegó y regresó como no se ordenó, lo que significa que otros comensales comieron mientras esperaba. La comida era muy buena. Servicio muy decepcionante l. Esta fue una celebración de cumpleaños que no estuvo a la altura de las expectativas. No recomendaría si quieres algo especial.

03/12/2024: I was in here earlier today and I was absolutely disgusted at the way an older customer was treated! We were just finishing up our food when I heard a server raising her voice to an older lady sitting at the next table. The lady was waiting for her daughter before she ordered her food. She simply told the server that she was waiting for her daughter. The server aggressively told her "you cannot sit here until you have ordered your food". The lady tried explaining that she was waiting for her daughter. That wasn't enough... Another staff member came over telling the lady "you cannot sit here. That table is for people who have already ordered their food". So now there were two servers standing over her as if it wasn't embarrassing enough for her. All the nearby tables could hear them. The lady again tried explaining that she was just waiting for her daughter. These two staff members were so horrible to her. It was absolutely disgusting to see. The poor lady was absolutely mortified. There was another table at the wall that the people ordering could have sat at. I offered the lady our table as we were leaving. She seemed a lovely lady and visibly upset and embarrassed. I was genuinely upset myself for a good while after witnessing the way they treated her. Disgusting!!

15/03/2025: Had been in Ireland for three months and few days before going back home, I stopped here to have breakfast before taking the bus. NEVER HAD a better brownie. Made my return even harder😅 Lovely place!

06/04/2025: I usually only review for positive things. But my medium rare steak was bone dry and cooked to death. At least it looked pretty and the wine was good.

02/03/2025: I ordered from this place a few times, and while the wait times were always over 90 min, I was willing to be patient. Unfortunately, my fourth order gave me food poisoning. Definitely won’t be ordering again.

26/03/2025: I visited macs shack recently I gat the pork chop and I have to say it was beautiful also you got a generous portion as well also lisa is kind chatty and very friendly she shares my hobby of cars I will be back.

17/03/2025: Always I go there i know the place offers more options than the ones on the menu. As I am not a local I asked the waitress about the options that weren’t at the menu and they just keep staring at me.
