The Dog House Blues Tea Room

19/11/2024: Been here twice now for lunch and it's fantastic. Great food and atmosphere. It's pretty slow service outside of busy hours but it's a great place to chat and relax so that's a bonus in my book.

13/10/2024: Had the nicest fresh cod and chips and the missus had a scampi box. Set us up nicely from the food as we were going to a match in Anne's Park.
Bit pricey but I'll over look that due to how good it was only thing that was missing was bread and butter for chip samos.
Would recommend to all.
We would defo come back again when in the area.

I was in just after opening so I was the only customer. Thus, the atmosphere was....well.....quiet.

08/10/2024: Got a burger and family members got pizza. To be completely honest the burger wasn't great the pizza was ok lots of cheese on it. Lady serving is was absolutely lovely great customer service but there was a younger one who was so moody glad she wasn't serving us

28/09/2024: We took a day trip from our base in Galway to visit Clifden and chose Mitchell's for a sumptuous late lunch. We will not be eating dinner tonight. We start with fresh oysters that tasted of the ocean from which they had recently been removed. Cold and "crisp" around the edges, served with a mignonette that complimented them nicely. Then we had the fish pie and a kettle of steamed mussels. Both were well-prepared and seasoned. Heavenly! We couldn't resist dessert, which was the Belgian Chocolate Nut Pudding, served with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Think brownie, but lighter. We couldn't have chosen a better place to indulge ourselves.
28/09/2024: Coach driver for an Irish tour company When I’m in different town I pick a restaurant have a meal for myself and then I can recommend for my passengers mainly American.Had fish top class from service to presentation.Would highly recommend to anyone.Its quality all the way

07/07/2024: OBriens has a lovely welcoming atmosphere and we got a last minute table on a Sunday evening..the food was good but very overpriced and we were a bit shocked as one starter, two mains, 3 drinks to be almost €100. We did have steak mains, surf and turf was 40 euro and an 8oz fillet 35 euro. Very overpriced in our opinion. Nice food and we will be back but need to save up to splash out on it again.

29/10/2024: Was waiting almost ten minutes to be seated then another fifteen to be served for breakfast, both food and coffee came out 20 minutes later stone cold and half cooked. The tables and floor were filthy, and some tables were left with dirty plates on them while customers were being turned away due to lack of tables available.
23/10/2024: The food is yummy and the prices are very reasonable.
Matt and the staff were very efficient in handling the many customers.
We visited twice during our stay in Bantry.

01/08/2024: Very nice place, very friendly staff, and the best fast food restaurants in Ireland. This Supermac's restaurant is very close to the first ever Supermac's, so the food here is much more tastier than in dublin or any other eastern Ireland restaurants.

28/10/2024: Honestly the worst food iv had in a very long time. The price would make you think it's going to be nice (charging 19€ for a carvery 🤣🙄🤢), but it turns out they are just money hungry gougers.
Meat was like shoe leather. Potatoes where like lumps of coal. 8euro for 2 cordials and 1 orange juice!!!
The manager is an absolute loser! Shouting at kids as soon as he seen that the dad left the table. Cowardly little man.
Will never step foot in this place ever again.
27/10/2024: Just don’t eat here, the carvery is terrible and very small.

04/09/2024: Just came from here and I wanted to get a soup but I was stuck for time because I had to get back to work so I asked how long will it be for the soup after waiting 5 minutes. The response I got was half an hour in a sarcastic way just because I asked. Will never be back and I advise people to avoid at all costs. Great service 👎

Butter wasn't real Butter and Fish was bland - Absolutely devastated as we'd been looking forward to eating here for quite sometime.
19/08/2024: I haven't been here for years and I was a bit apprehensive when I arrived as the decor is quite old fashioned, though some might call it olde world charm. The early bird menu is what tempted us in, 33€ for three courses, a great selection of food that sounded really good, and thankfully, it was really good, fantastic in fact. Starters were all delicious, as were the mains, steak(9€supplement) scampi (5€supplement) chicken, and seabream with mussels. I had the seabream and it was delicious, i can't recommend it enough. We all had the lemon tart meringue which was divine! Service was great, a really nice young man who was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back very soon.

12/09/2024: I was in this pub last night and I do not recommend it, I was robbed but after my intervention the lost item was suddenly found after about 2 hours because I said there are cameras and I will go to the boss tomorrow, the bartender was very messy, the photo shows the bartender
