07/04/2025: Asked for large meal got a medium, asked for burger sauce on my burger and got ketchup and she was laughing into my face about it. When I said I wanted a large meal because I asked for that she then said I only paid for medium and that’s because SHE got that wrong so I said I’d pay for large and then she somehow switched topic and said “you said you didn’t want a drink” I said “what are you on about I asked for a Fanta” she then lied again saying I didn’t so I left with a medium meal and the wrong food cause I was not dealing with another immigrant who can’t even speak English

22/02/2025: Big thanks to Daniel for the cocktail class valentines weekend, he was brilliant, informative and friendly! We also had food in the bar afterwards and it was lovely, highly recommend!

18/01/2025: Large group in for food service was quick beef and burger looked nice and herself had the curry said it was nice i had the "beer battered cod" it was rotten whoever is over the batter needs to be trained on what a beer battered cod should taste like the batter was like something youd get from a Chinese on a chicken ball a frozen piece would have been nicer was raging i didnt go for beef but i like a good fish and chips sadly i wouldnt recommend it here the dog wouldnt eat it everything else was good

09/03/2025: We went for a coffee. It takes ages to order. Siting are inside was closed at 15 o'clock at the busiest time. Staff is very slow, rest of a tables was all dirty.

02/03/2025: I have visited several times and have noticed this on many occasions. The cafe is understaffed and has inefficient workflows. Order taking is painfully slow, tables are often dirty and not cleared before you sit down. Staff always look run off their feet with any additional asks you request feel like an inconvenience. Self serve water area is messy and even after bringing it to staffs attention was not replenished with glasses in the 40 mins I spent there. There are often little fruit flies hovering around as you eat your food. Given their prices are comparable with other local cafes with table service this really takes away from the overall experience. Coffee itself is ok but even for sit down service is brought out in takeaway cups. Their market section is good with a nice range of local and alternative products that you can’t find elsewhere.

21/03/2025: This place I've been in last year and wasn't great service order was late and mixed up I've been in it lately and I can't fault it service and food top class lately in my opinion it deserves 5 star the girls work so hard and the food and service speaks for itself a1

04/02/2025: As a Brit working in Ireland I thought this place had a limited choice, but I believe that's typical of Irish chippies. I thought it was expensive too, but on the plus side, the chips were really nice. My friend had fish, and he said it was very dry though.

05/04/2025: I was there tonight got a taco chip it was so watery the taco sauce had so much water in it and the mince swimming in oil i got it changed second 1 was still the same absolute disgusting

02/02/2025: Got the smallest cod ever last week here. Very disappointing as I'm a regular. Even the chips were very small for the price. San Marino in Castleknock is way better and they still shovel an extra scoop of chips into your bag before you leave. Anyhoo it's very obvious that there's less for more these days. Disappointing.

19/01/2025: Romayos have done an excellent job standardising their restaurants/takeaways. The seating area here is small, suited to order, eat and go. The food is still very good for a chipper. Their specials are good too. Unsure if they do smoked cod. Their kebabs are very good, the salad is very fresh. Their burgers are, if anything almost too beefy. The service is fast, I wouldn't say that the staff are particularly friendly but it all works out. The curry sauce is good but the amount they give you has reduced significantly over the years. The positions of chips are decent too. This is a good chipper, never had a bad meal from here.

19/02/2025: Very nice staff and not so long waiting times for meals. The food is really delicious, is definitely worth a visit when you want good and delicious food. The chicken curry tasted a bit boring for Indian food, but the chicken wings in BBQ were fantastic. 🤭😍 Thanks to the whole team 🍽👨🏾‍🍳. Ich wurde des öfteren leider vergessen und wartete mal halbe Stunde.

12/12/2024: waitress was very rude and abrupt, atmosphere was lovely - but service was just awful, waitress was rude, abrupt - we were given desert menu and she came back about 30 seconds later to get our order, I apologised and said we hadn’t looked or decided yet and she placed both hands on the table and stood waiting for me to make up my mind! I was humiliated - definitely giving me the message to hurry and we weren’t getting time - so I’m afraid you need to sharpen your customer service and be pleasant - very gruff service - alot of leaning across you to collect plates and put out cutlery - I had to sit back and push my chair back to stop being knocked - so always loved going to the Keadeen and have had great times there but won’t be back for a long time - there are more welcoming restaurants in Kildare - I know this waitress has been there a long time - and I felt like she was being aggressive and personally rude to me!

12/03/2025: If I could give no starts I would only for Jade the manager they’d get none! Just had the girl who answers the phone be so rude and thick with me because she took down my mothers order wrong, I called back when the order arrived and she instantly got defensive and thick with me saying “no you didn’t order two I took that order myself” I am shocked with the treatment I got from her I demanded a manager because she was so rude and I could hear her talking absolute shite about me to the manager next to the phone! so I told the manager I just heard her talking shite and that it’s actually shocking the staff they have working for them and they could look back over my mothers orders and see I have ordered the same meal for the last 3-4 orders like she’s something else the cheek! STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT THE STAFF TALKING CRAP ABOUT YOU BECAUSE THEIR WRONG

13/01/2025: My husband and I had dinner here in Sep 2024. The food was delicious and the fish was so fresh. The seafood chowder starter was the highlight of the meal for me. It was packed full of lovely fish. Absolutely gorgeous and I will definitely be booking a table the next time I'm in Clifden.
