19/02/2025: Very nice staff and not so long waiting times for meals. The food is really delicious, is definitely worth a visit when you want good and delicious food. The chicken curry tasted a bit boring for Indian food, but the chicken wings in BBQ were fantastic. 🤭😍 Thanks to the whole team 🍽👨🏾‍🍳. Ich wurde des öfteren leider vergessen und wartete mal halbe Stunde.

12/12/2024: waitress was very rude and abrupt, atmosphere was lovely - but service was just awful, waitress was rude, abrupt - we were given desert menu and she came back about 30 seconds later to get our order, I apologised and said we hadn’t looked or decided yet and she placed both hands on the table and stood waiting for me to make up my mind! I was humiliated - definitely giving me the message to hurry and we weren’t getting time - so I’m afraid you need to sharpen your customer service and be pleasant - very gruff service - alot of leaning across you to collect plates and put out cutlery - I had to sit back and push my chair back to stop being knocked - so always loved going to the Keadeen and have had great times there but won’t be back for a long time - there are more welcoming restaurants in Kildare - I know this waitress has been there a long time - and I felt like she was being aggressive and personally rude to me!

12/03/2025: Family of 6 visited for breakfast on my Dad's 80th birthday as we were staying in Bunclody. I'd pre ordered an 80th birthday cake to pick up when we'd eaten but they brought it out with an 80th candle and sang to him which was lovely. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming and more than happy to accommodate changes to the menu we asked for such as scrambled instead of fried egg, nothing was a problem and the coffee was great. All 6 of us enjoyed the variety of breakfasts we chose. The cakes looked lovely but we didn't sample them as they brought us plates and a knife for us to tuck into the birthday cake (which was lovely). Would highly recommend if you're in the area.

19/11/2024: This restaurant/cafe on the main street in Bunclody is a gem. Very friendly staff, well cooked food, lovely atmosphere and a very extensive menu. They use local produce and have local honey, preserves etc.. on sale as well. I would definitely visit again if in the area.

14/05/2025: Excellent customer service from Derek Cronin in the furniture dept of Arnott’s Dept Store. I bought chairs yesterday and Derek was very professional and his advice was very valuable. I would highly recommend Derek and his customer friendly approach which was is above the norm.

13/05/2025: I received a voucher for my birthday and decided after reviewing the Arnotts website to get a pair of New Balance runners show on the site. I selected a few pairs I liked, then went into the store two weeks ago. After spending 20 minutes wandering aimlessly in the shoe section looking for the New Balance section, I gave up looking and asked a security guy. He said he wasn't sure where they were. Eventually I just gave up trying to find New Balance after checking two other floors and browsed the other shoe offerings. Ecco had a dedicated section, so I browsed there for about 20 minutes eventually selecting a pair I liked. I asked for my usual size which they had. Tried them on and they were enormous. Speaking to the person looking after me, requested the size down, having purchased Ecco several times previously. They were definitely a snugger fit by comparison, but with now two Ecco staff in attendance they agreed that the smaller size were a better fit and that the trainers would stretch anyway. Taking their advice on board and having ruled out another pair of shoes that just looked awful on, I bought them. Ten days later and these Ecco shoes have cut the heels off me. They are hands-down the most uncomfortable shoes of any type that I have ever bought. Two key points from my experience for Arnotts to consider: 1. It should be made very clear that New Balance are not actually available in your store to try on. This was not the case. I asked two store staff where New Balance was located and neither were aware they didn't have a dedicated section and that you basically buy the shoes online and hope for the best, with the option to collect in store or have them delivered for a fee and obviously return if you get it wrong. Not quite the shopping experience I anticipated getting in Arnotts. Sports Direct yes, but definitely not Arnotts. 2. The Ecco selection of shoes and trainers is very limited in store. Ecco shoes are not a cheap item to purchase and it would have been helpful to get more advice and possibly measure my feet just to be sure. Ecco have an online foot measuring tool, so I incorrectly assumed they would also have something in-store. The shoes were clearly designed by an 8 year old in terms of comfort factors. There is zero padding in the heel area. My feet are blistered and my heels cut from constant friction. They also make a ridiculous squeaking sound when you walk in them on ANY surface. Overall, just a very disappointing experience. Displayed items are nice. The store is not that easy to navigate. I've included photos that demonstrate the confusion over how New Balance is advertised on the Arnotts website. The first photo mentions nothing of Online. I have included a photo of the Ecco leather trainers I bought. Never again. The most uncomfortable footwear I have ever bought.

19/04/2025: Called in for a breakfast feast last saturday... Lovely decor layout, warm open fire.and Great welcome and greeting from Gerry, the Owner, Stanford and staff. Congrats. Great staff and addition and well worth a visit and an evening meal. Love the Courtsey bus service home too!

05/05/2025: Shocking, would let a 3 year old in with a 40 year olds ID absolutely plagued with underage drinking.

04/06/2025: You can buy Irish whiskey. You can also sample it, which is great. The whiskey is behind the cash register, so it's a good idea to ask the staff about it.

10/05/2025: Ordered fillet steak medium rare, came well done. Ordered chunky chips. When meal came, asked for dem n was told der all gone. Food was warm. No vegetables as advertised either. Wife's food warm also n no veg as advertised. Waitress rude. Manager needs to iron his shirt n scrub up. The only positive was Gerry the barman, a gentleman. Will not be back ever. Disgraceful food n not as advertised.

24/04/2025: Here today had a few meals with family, a bit overpriced for the meals like all Supermacs, nothing much to write home about, not a fan of these places but was in a pinch today.

19/02/2025: im 14 years old, was on my way back from a friends house at around 8:30 and wanted to look at the pizzas next door to supermacs. walked in the supermacs door and turned left to papa johns where there was a sign (i assume to stop people going through) but i had not eaten in papa johns before, so i brushed past it by a step and leaned to se the menu. “oi oi” a member of staff was yelling. i turned and he was shouting saying the floor was wet and i had to order at the main till. i’m not from cobh as i, visiting t family so i don’t know anything about this supermacs or the way it works. i was not happy with how i was treated and so i walked out and you lost a young innocent customer for being rude under a misunderstanding. not very pleased as i like supermacs, won’t be going there again.

18/01/2025: Large group in for food service was quick beef and burger looked nice and herself had the curry said it was nice i had the "beer battered cod" it was rotten whoever is over the batter needs to be trained on what a beer battered cod should taste like the batter was like something youd get from a Chinese on a chicken ball a frozen piece would have been nicer was raging i didnt go for beef but i like a good fish and chips sadly i wouldnt recommend it here the dog wouldnt eat it everything else was good
