27/10/2024: Had a lovely chocolate desert after a kingsize seafood cocktail! Excellent service and very clean all around.

08/09/2024: It's very disappointing because we didn't even qualify. On the Internet it is written that it is open, but we found a sign on the door that it is closed. We were detoured from the route because of this cafe

23/08/2024: Stopped here for a quick sandwich, very tasty and fresh. The staff were friendly.

04/08/2024: FYI this place is closed. They took my booking and deposit and never informed me they were closing. It was for my sister's hens. Thank god for the hairy lemon across the road fitting all 12 of us in!

20/09/2024: Dined ala carte at the Lakeside bistro— Enjoyable outdoor dinner with an excellent view for my first night in Killarney. We had the poached pear and blue cheese salad, crab cake and smoked salmon, three cheese pizza and sea bass with couscous. Sea bass was probably the best dish but everything was more than satisfactory. Food arrived promptly and portions were pretty generous. Was difficult to get server’s attention at times but this improved through the evening and servers were very friendly. Was actually looking to get the set dinner at the Castlelough Restaurant (pictures look great) but entered the Lakeside Bistro, was too hungry to clarify, and had a great meal nonetheless!

31/08/2024: We got a table in the adjacent bar and ate dinner. We had a very friendly and courteous waitress, the food was excellent as was of course the beer. After eating while on the brink of getting another beer, a waiter who has not been serving us before, appeared rushing by slapping the bill on our table with the words “when ever you are ready!” And disappeared again. What happened? Did I offend anyone? Did I forget to shower? What about “good evening sir, would you care for another drink?” Or “ may I bring the bill if you are finished?”. Nope… guess that would have been too much… I was truly gobsmacked and boy was I ready… ready to spend his tip on another beer elsewhere. Shame, sometimes it takes a single cocky Youngblood to abruptly bring a nice evening to an end. By the way, at least five other tables were empty so we were not “blocking” anyone…

14/11/2024: “I had one of the most stressful experiences picking up my order here. The manager is incredibly unprepared, more so than the entire team. He constantly disrupts the staff, making it impossible for them to work efficiently. My order was ready, but he kept switching items between orders, and I had to wait over 15 minutes just to get my food. It’s clear that this lack of organization affects the entire team.”

08/11/2024: Just don't! Food was far from good and it wasn't the cleanest place! Staff were friendly though!

15/09/2024: I have visited meades many times over the years but today made sure I will not return. First off we had to clear our own table, when going up to order the staff behind the counter were extremely rude and could really use a course in customer service. We went to get a glass for a soft drink one of my family members had ordered and the glass was FILTHY, (I've attached pictures of the rim of the glass) so she was handed a paper cup to drink out of instead.

15/09/2024: The cafe is filthy ........dirty tables.....food on the floor..the look of the cafe was of dirt and clutter....chunky space consuming seating.....complete disorganisation.

29/09/2024: Terrible, terrible food. Vegan burger over cooked and tasted terrible. Loud terrible music Service appalling. Nearly 2.5 hours waiting for simple bistrol food. Sat down, 20 minutes before anyone asked if we wanted anything. Give it a serious miss.

25/09/2024: Nice place to eat big portions. Bit slow to take your order. But make up for it on how fast food was ready .

22/10/2024: I had burger, it was good, but waited a bit even though it was not busy..

10/09/2024: Asked for no onions, lettuce, and no seeded bun due to teeth issues, in person. Somehow they heard "so many onions you cant see the meat" and they didnt put lettuce in, and gave a seeded bun. How can they forget the second they hear it? Burger was also dry, disgusting. Chicken was way overdone and bland and chewy. Will absolutely not be going back. Pity, because most supermacs ive been to have been lovely.

10/11/2024: I have been waiting for my “click and collect” order to be ready for collection for over 10 days. It was my first order and I have had a terrible experience. I have an open ticket on the customer support, and nothing has been done about it.

08/11/2024: I’m so disappointed with the lack of communication from the customer service. Didn’t resolve my issue with loyalty points, what’s the point of using this weird program …

24/09/2024: Really good food in a warm pub setting: the breaded hake I ordered was perhaps the best plate of fish and chips I’ve had in Ireland and my wife loved her dish of cottage pie. Great service, great atmosphere and good prices,

24/08/2024: Arrives au hasard dans ce pub comme il pleuvait, le lieu était bondé alors nous nous sommes installés à 3 au bar. Une soupe du jour excellente et deux salades. Accueil cordial et service rapide.

07/11/2024: Great service, great food, Steak Ciabatta and Steak skewers were cooked to order and were very nice. The staff and owner are very friendly and welcoming.

11/11/2024: I'd suggest a slice of bacon on a cheeseburger. Bit more expensive but very tasty

31/10/2024: Shop is looking great after it's recent refit - but stunned that deli counter are no longer making wraps ,rolls etc at lunchtime - only pre made selection. Nowhere this end of Donnybrook to get a freshly made wrap or sandwich - very disappointing.

27/09/2024: Hard to give it a decent review as it is the middle of a major refurb and only a small section was open. Staff very friendly and a good choice of product available.
