01/03/2025: My wife and I had a fabulous meal last night in the Guineas Pig .I had the chowder and the duck and my wife had the french onion soup and ribeye steak.Absolutely gorgeous. Kevin who told us he has been working there 27 years was excellent.Very attentive and extremely friendly. Jerome the handsome French chef/owner was a pleasure to meet and knows his stuff. 18/03/2025: Got a chicken breast meal today, 17/03/25. It was great until I wanted to eat the burger and there was nothing but the buns and the chicken. No salad, no sauce, no nothing.

18/03/2025: Served by lovely Paul today. He was so kind to us. He told us about a horrible experience he had with a customer but he handled it with such grace and care. I think Paul doesn’t deserve anyone to be mean to him ever again. Fantastic service. Also chicken breast sandwich was amazing and the Fanta was so good. Love trip c.

16/02/2025: Jessie is super helpful! My twin boys like have mango flavor ice cream, Jessie recommended put mango syrup on the top. They are very happy! He is so friendly and we thanks him very much! We will be back again. Thanks Jessie to make their days so special!

13/04/2025: My husband and I have dined here many times over several years, imagine our shock to see the place so run down. The food was unappetising and certainly not worth the price and the carpets were filthy with food scattered under tables and no attempt to clean up. The chipped paint on the walls added to the whole dismal experience. Such a shame, since the location is great, there’s a lovely view and play area for children. Never again!

19/02/2025: im 14 years old, was on my way back from a friends house at around 8:30 and wanted to look at the pizzas next door to supermacs. walked in the supermacs door and turned left to papa johns where there was a sign (i assume to stop people going through) but i had not eaten in papa johns before, so i brushed past it by a step and leaned to se the menu. “oi oi” a member of staff was yelling. i turned and he was shouting saying the floor was wet and i had to order at the main till. i’m not from cobh as i, visiting t family so i don’t know anything about this supermacs or the way it works. i was not happy with how i was treated and so i walked out and you lost a young innocent customer for being rude under a misunderstanding. not very pleased as i like supermacs, won’t be going there again.

12/02/2025: Very good rating, because the ordered beautiful portion of cod and chips was surprising with its home-made taste. The location of the place of consumption (the seaside in the port of Cobh) is worth the additional fee. Visit in April 2024.

10/07/2024: We visited from UK and was really shocking to see this was the only LGBTQ+ bar in Galway. Bar was very small and atmosphere was definitely off! However host and bar persons were brilliant! Music was available on request which is always fun and plenty to choose from on the cocktail menu

03/07/2024: From Canada, in Galway durin our spring break in March. I had horrible experience. Looked up gay bar. Excited to go on late aftenoon with my str8 brother in law. Just to be made fun and ridiculd by bad queen i guess hosting a str8 girls night. All for that and great for doing...but once we walked in, door not locked, NOT EVEN A SIGN OUTSIDE saying closed fir private event. Once i heard it say thats why door is closed...made me sooo pissed off at how you treat new guests. In my world, you put a sign on door saying private party. Not make fun of tourist who just wanted to go to safe gay place. I will NOT recommend this place, and hope someone will open another gay place to go...or at least fire that wannabe queen. She not even a princess.....just trash.

With prices and quality this restaurant has pushed its priorities to the limit with great satisfaction. The staff were more then happy to assist with the food ordered and  anything else that was required. The menu in this grill restaurant is simple, yet has alot to offer to satisfy your hungry needs, for all foodies. With quality food served in a comfortable spacious indoor seating area. With an interesting and attenative interior. This restaurant will definitely give you top rated quality food at affordable prices. Highly recommend.

01/07/2024: Breakfast Right on the money if you’re looking for somewhere to have a good old breakfast in Cork centre. The couple who run this joint make you feel so welcome and the breaky was spot on!
