09/09/2025: Asked for a southern fryed lunch box said no problem but what I got was two dried up drumsticks ,and a dried up thigh with over seasoned / reheated chips( not southern fried ) id say chicken was lying under heat lamp all day ,absolute crap ,the guy tried to say it was fresh and southern fryed.nowvut was far from Southern fried ,over fried id say ,food has gone downhill in last 5 years, it's now the pits ,the dog wouldn't even eat it , Very dissatisfied customer .

15/10/2025: Have never had a meal here that was less than perfect. However, they now insist on leaving the door wide open, and even go and shut it if a customer closes it, even in winter when it is absolutely freezing in the restaurant.As a result, it’s just too uncomfortable to visit Also, I’ve been charged a different price for the same meal every time I go in. One day, my daughter and I both purchased a meal of just potatoes, veg and gravy. She was charged over €12 and I was charged €4.50 (which is the usual price for a veg plate in most restaurants). Prices overall are very expensive in Mulhall’s now. Such a pity.

18/12/2025: This is the second time I buy from them, the second time the same problem, they don't pay attention to what you order and make your food the way they want it not the way you ask, the staff is very rude, disrespectful, and they are paid from our money, if you want your business to continue to run, change the staff and give your customers what they ask for, I'm sorry but I will never buy from you again

15/01/2026: I purchased a Shark SmoothStyle (5419139) from Arnotts on 04/09/2024. In December 2025, while the product was still under statutory warranty, it developed a fault. I contacted Arnotts via online chat and on 16/12/2025 I was assisted by Callum, who instructed me to return the defective item. I requested a replacement, and the product was posted on 20/12/2025. On the same day, I updated my delivery address on the Arnotts website. After a long delay with no resolution, I contacted Arnotts again on 12/01/2026 and was informed that the return procedure I had been instructed to follow was a company error. Despite this, Arnotts returned the defective product to me without my consent, instead of providing a replacement or refund, and instructed me to contact the manufacturer directly. This is contrary to Irish and EU consumer law, under which the retailer remains legally responsible for warranty claims. To make matters worse, the product was sent to my old address, even though my delivery details had been correctly updated on their system. This represents a clear delivery error on Arnotts’ part. To date, Arnotts has refused to provide an appropriate remedy as required under consumer law. If this matter remains unresolved, I will escalate the issue to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC).

29/12/2025: Another, and final, woeful visit to Supermacs Salthill. Years ago it was a well run fast food place. Today, seems anyone coming inside is an inconvenience to the staff. As on a previous visit recently, no member of staff acknowledged me queuing to place an order. I understand that they have previous orders to prepare, but a minor acknowledgement would let me know I was not queuing in vain. The six visible staff went round in circles with no communication to each other. Nobody leading, nobody prioritizing and nobody noticing when I walked out the door.

24/12/2025: Four weeks in a row I’ve had my burger order sat waiting not being handed out for no reason usually for 10-15 minutes for no reason, and each time the ingredients have either been missing or different all together,

02/01/2026: 3of us went here over Christmas got chips onion rings and batter burger and cheese burger. Huge portions chips were gorgeous. Bit of a wait but worth it. Staff very friendly.

27/12/2025: Honestly the best chips I've ever had, i go in here almost every week to the point i don't even have to order when i walk in anymore. The people there are sound as well, I love this place so much.

21/09/2025: Very unwelcoming staff. Food was sad and miserable. My pork roast was completely dried out, the rest of the food wasn't much better.

27/08/2025: Ate lunch here before flying out of Cork airport. We both ordered burgers. I noticed how quickly they came out and how fast other tables got their food too. I worked in hotels myself for years and that is not necessarily a good sign. The burgers themselves were ok but they seemed somewhat ready made. We both had upset stomachs by the evening time. I do not recommend. The staff and service were excellent. I can’t give more than 1 star because of the food issue.

10/11/2025: Called in one evening without a reservation and we're seated no problem. We are both vegetarian and knew that they had a vegetarian menu - this is not on the door outside so its handy to know! Some elements of dishes were not available but the food was really great, we both had starters, mains and desserts and yes, a little more pricey than we would usually go for, but worth it for a treat in my opinion. Atmosphere and service were wonderful!

28/10/2025: Always wanted to try this restaurant. Very sorry to advise but it was an extremely disappointing experience. Staff were not trained to the standard one would expect… food really poor quality. No atmosphere. 1st and last time here.

07/10/2025: Very unprofessional costumer service. They 15min and take 30min for making it ready. Staff is rude, even don't know basic greetings.

13/09/2025: The quality of food VERY much depends on how busy they are each night. Midweek nights isn't great most times I have to say, alot of quickly reheated food thrown out to you. But come the weekend at their busy times, the fresh chips and burgers suddenly appear and to be fair can be really delicious. It's quite frustrating. Takeaways are REALLY expensive nowadays and yet midweek prices are the same as peak weekend prices yet the standard given to you can be absolutely massive. Beware of this.
