02/10/2024: Roast beef and no horse radish sauce? A big NO NO for me! All veggies over cooked. Not worth the money

06/11/2024: We popped into this legendary pub for a light lunch. I ordered a bowl of Fish Chowder and was not disappointed. A large bowl of chowder appeared with oodles of chunky fish pieces in a rich, creamy sauce. Several pieces of brown bread and butter also; and all for less than a tenner. Great quality and very good value.

04/11/2024: We came here in the evening and had a wonderful seafood chowder served with brown bread. Had been out walking so it was a great warm up. Great staff and we had a drink to finish our evening off. It was busy and the food looked really good.

21/09/2024: Excelente comida, pero el servicio fue un fracaso. Pedimos 2 pintas de murphys y un IPa, una pizza con patatas fritas y la hamburguesa de queso azul. Cuando fuimos a pagar había una pinta extra y un cóctel de 22 € en la factura de venta que no pedimos. No discutimos los murphys extra pero contamos la pinta extra como la punta. El servicio estaba bien, pero la comida era excelente.

23/08/2024: Pizza pobre (las pizzas de supermercado son mucho mejores) , mediocre hamburguesa ‘smash’. Es mejor evitarlo si quieres comer. Pero la cerveza está bien.

08/07/2024: Used to be dog friendly, not anymore. Shame.

05/07/2024: Seemed friendly at first, then decided to be intentionally unhelpful and chuck me and my friend out solely based on his disability (was on crutches). Told us to leave and claimed it's because he "does'nt want to be responsible if anything happens" and "does'nt have any insurance for it" or "does'nt want to pay for insurance to cover it" or something along those lines. Then even refused to phone a taxi for us after kicking us out, despite our begging and pleas for help. Manager did absolutely nothing to help but order and boss us around. Toxic and pure blatant discrimination against people with physical disabilities. Very unusual treatment. Found the whole situation quite bizarre. Very unreasonable, impatient and unhelpful. Total Jobsworth

14/09/2024: The food is good depending on what you want. The floor staff are excellent, the owner is indifferent. The restaurant is COLD.

24/07/2024: I went to torc with my children for my birthday.me and 2 out of 3 of my children got their food we waited a good 20 minutes for them to bring her food out but they never did and when they finally brought it out it was the wrong thing and they went back into the kitchen we waited another 10 minutes and it never came so we got it to go we left and when we got into the car it was the wrong food again😒. And the chocolate bars are €16 which is outrages

10/11/2024: We visited for a late lunch on our way from the Cliffs of Moher to Galway and it was a very pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was great, it was a truly the most authentic Irish experience we had in our 10 days here.

04/11/2024: Stumbled upon The Irish arms after a long day exploring the Burren having travelled up with the kids from Cork. Stopped on the way down from Aillwee Caves, and being honest, it was the first restaurant/bar we came across and had a big sign out saying that food was being served - so we stopped. The place was dead, like, very empty except one other table who left after us. Not sure what the other reviews mention about the service - the server, at least when we were there was really friendly. Service was quick, and efficient too however, this is really where it stops. The menu is quite limited, and the food was a little bland. It wasn't bad - but, I wouldn't say it was special. The turkey was very bland, dry (even drier than turkey usually is.) Kids chicken nuggets were obviously frozen, but generic frozen type. You could tell it went straight from a bag in the freezer to the fryer. The decor of the place is quite nice, traditional but you can tell its centred towards tourists, primarily those coming from America or visiting the Cliffs of Moher. We're sorry afterwards, because we seen other places serving food further down in the town. Unfortunately, we won't be back anytime soon.

09/09/2024: We had dinner here on a Friday evening in early September. The bar/restaurant is well located on the waterfront in Monkstown/Passage West. The restaurant is very clean throughout and the menu/food is very good. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. The rice pudding was a particular favourite with our party. Well worth a visit.

18/08/2024: Fab location great staff efficient but not in your face. Food was delicious starters of mushrooms and ck liver pate mains roast beef and ck Oscar absolutely gorgeous. Will definitely be back

05/10/2024: Our dining experience was flawless thanks to hosea he’s so sweet,who was very professional and He made sure everything was just right and recommended the perfect dishes for us. His attention to detail made the experience smooth and enjoyable. Excellent service overall!Thank you !

21/09/2024: The Service was great and the food was excellent. Hosea was a wonderful waiter for us. We had a pleasant conversation with him about his country of birth and about his experience here in Ireland. He is a nice addition to your team.

19/08/2024: Very nice place, listening music (you can even dance) all the evening, as eating a seafood chowder and slightly spicy Buffalo style chicken wings. Generous plates, I recommend it.

25/07/2024: It took over 40 minutes to get my food. I was at a table for one and everyone around me that was seated after me (including a table of 10) received their food before me. It took another 15 minutes to get the check after asking two different people.

26/10/2024: I was initially hesitant to visit this place due to some negative comments about the manager. However, my experience was completely different. From the moment I arrived, the manager was incredibly kind and attentive, making me feel welcome. The place itself is cozy, with an inviting atmosphere, and the food was absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely come back and recommend it. It was a pleasant surprise that exceeded my expectations.

13/10/2024: Owner thinks he's running a michelin star joint. Huge attitude. Lots of rules that he has to announce to anyone who steps foot in the door, backed up with passive aggressive signage. Never felt like I've been such an inconvenience. Feel horrible for anyone who has to work for this man. Food was nothing to write home about, had a toastie special which is difficult to mess up but was still pretty bad, dry and expensive for what it was

14/10/2024: The room was very clean. Bathroom old but spotless. House cleaning staff very friendly and helpful. Sea views were very good. Lorraine a waitress we met when we went down for breakfast was very friendly and chatty and went out of her way to accommodate us.

26/09/2024: First time here and with our first dish we were greeted with hair on two of our meals, decided to give them another chance we tried dinner and there was a nail in the lasagne, the toast for breakfast was hard and stale not fresh at all if I was to rate food I wouldn’t give 5 stars at all in fact I think the management should be paying the guests to eat food like that.

23/10/2024: Food was very nice and fresh. The staff were awesome. Not a speck of dirt. The atmosphere was amazing. You should eat here if you're passing by.
