For my first fish and chips, I was left wanting more. Sadly, if it weren't for the mayonnaise and tartar sauce, it would have been a tasteless meal. I can also say that the fish and chips were a bit greasy.

Enjoyed the fish & chips. Staff was friendly & helpful (especially the nice man outside holding the sign). Try it while in Dublin.

Good fish and chips, fresh and tasty, so credit where it’s due. However, the customer experience left us disappointed. We originally ordered takeaway, but when we later sat at one of several empty tables, staff told us “takeaway is takeaway” and asked us to leave instead of handling it more politely. We weren’t trying to cause trouble and would have appreciated a friendlier approach. Food was good, but the atmosphere and hospitality could definitely be improved.

For sure the most delicious and traditional Fish & Chips. The potatoes are something unique, really tasty and not heavy. Recommend

Stopped by the original Leo Burdock in the Temple Bar area for a classic Dublin fish and chips experience. The cod was excellent, with crunchy golden batter on the outside and tender, flaky fish inside that tasted fresh and light. Definitely the highlight of the meal and exactly what you hope for from traditional Irish fish and chips.
The fries came out hot and crispy on the outside, but they were a bit bland compared to the fish. We added salt and ketchup and still enjoyed them, but the cod clearly stole the show.
The shop itself has a fun old-school Dublin atmosphere with celebrity photos, history on the walls and a cozy local feel that adds to the experience. A bit pricey overall, but worth trying at least once for the famous cod and authentic vibe.

I’ve had a lot of fish and chips at places, very very good ones, but today this spot has taken the number 1 lead. UNREAL service everyone was so friendly and took care of us. Engaged in convos was great
Now onto the fish, I tried both, fresh cod and smoked cod. BOTH amazing but the smoked cod is a MUST TRY. Don’t second guess it just get it, so flavourful would only order that if it was my choice
Chips were very traditional and paired well, batter is light not to filling and for sure on the less greasy side which is how I’d prefer it
GET YOUR ARSE TO LEO BURDOCKS if you are traveling in Dublin WILL NOT REGRET IT

Thirty years ago, there was no better fish and chips shop in all of Ireland. Today, unfortunately, it's only average.

Personally, we had a fantastic meal! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We went back the next day to try other dishes and were still not disappointed. The classic fish and chips, the smoked fish, and the prawns were all impeccable! Yes, for French people, the fries might have been a little undercooked, but I like them that way! And they're homemade, contrary to what I read in some reviews.
Regarding the prices, they're about average for Ireland, and yes, in Ireland, everything is extra. Proof of their kindness? They offered me a hat and sauce! 👍🏻
