Supermac's & Papa John's in Dublin

17/10/2026: We went to the Guinea Pig on a Saturday evening, this was our second time in the last few months. We certainly weren't disappointed, hence our return. My wife and I think that this is, food-wise the best restaurant in Dalkey. Kevin, the host, is fantastic, friendly and engaging, knows when to see if everything is ok and when not to intrude. As previously mentioned, the food is fantastic, great wine selection and to me is exceptional value when prices everywhere seem to rise by the day. The decor is classically French bistro, intimate and homely at the same time.IWe went for the Early Menu, mussels and vol au vent, to start and Boneless sauteed chicken and as I'm quite predictable, I had the steak, perfectly cooked as requested, there is a €14 supplement, more than worth it, some lovely wine and cocktails, all delicious. don't know why it took us so long to visit in the first place. Highly recommended.

20/09/2026: Nostalgic booking for early dinner turned out to be a surprise with French culinary. Fine-dining dish presentation for starters. Modest portions of mains. Priced reasonably for Dalkey. Service was attentive and helpful. Fast turnaround of orders. Would come again.
