Errigal Country House Hotel in Cootehill

After having such a poor sleep due to drunk and loud behaviour from next door, we were well looked after by all the staff and we enjoyed our 2 night stay. Would recommend to anyone

Spent a lovely night away here for my boyfriend’s birthday. I booked the VIP getaway package, which included 2 hours in the outdoor thermal suite, a main course at dinner and a cocktail, a deluxe room, and breakfast the next morning. From the moment we arrived, the staff were beyond friendly. After dropping our bags to the room, we headed straight to the thermal suite. The team had also left balloons, a birthday poster, and chocolates in the room, which was such a thoughtful touch. It’s always so appreciated when hotels go the extra mile to acknowledge special occasions. The thermal suite itself was excellent. The dressing rooms were clean and warm, the relaxation room was calm and well-stocked with snacks and water, and the facilities were spotless. The hot tubs were perfectly heated, and the sauna had beautiful countryside views. Honestly, we couldn’t fault it. Dinner that evening exceeded our expectations. Every course was delicious, and both the cocktails and pints were spot on. The same goes for breakfast the next morning, everything was fresh and really enjoyable. One thing that surprised us was how quiet the hotel was, even for a Saturday night. Given the quality of the food, the friendliness of the staff, and the overall experience, we expected it to be much busier. It really feels like a bit of a hidden gem, and we hope more people discover it because it truly deserves the recognition. The location may not be the most central, and some areas of the hotel feel slightly dated, but these were only very minor points in what was otherwise a fantastic stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and affordable night away!

We had a wonderful time here, the staff wonderful and very very helpful, the food was good, the only thing for us was the Lemon bomb was to think and the sponge was to dense, and if that is all we can say about an amazing meal, we have hit the jack pot. I would highly recommend staying here

While on route to visit friends in Cootehill, we called in at the Errigal hotel. We have stayed there previously on a number of occasions. We had afternoon coffee and relaxed for a while in the lounge before continuing our journey. I recommend a visit

Myself and my partner now husband got married here in the Errigal country Hotel in Cootehill last Saturday 13/12/2025. I would like to start of by thanking Niall for everything he has done for us. Anything I asked and more he done. He is amazing man and very patient and looked after not only me the bride and groom but my family and friends to. Everyone that works in the Errigal are the nicest people I could ever meet. Very helpful, kind, friendly and are amazing at there jobs. All my guests couldn't get over how big the rooms were. Bridal suit was top class. The chef, thank you, the food was absolutely delicious. There wasnt a plate in the room not cleaned off. People are still talking about how good the food was. My band Temptations PJ a local man done us proud the dance floor was never empty. We all danced the night away in a magical ball room all done up for Christmas. Niall thank you from the bottom of my heart for making are day so special from start to finish. If anyone is newly engaged or getting engaged this Christmas please check out the Errigal hotel in Cootehill for your wedding you will not be disappointed how amazing the place is. I am so happy we choose here, staff, rooms, food ect was unreal. Niall thank you and your team for all you have done for me. X

We had a really lovely stay here. The outdoor spa was our highlight. Meal, cocktails etc were gorgeous. Staff were all super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for an affordable night away
