16/07/2026: Chose to eat here for a special occasion. Everything from start to finish was perfect. Food and wine were delicious and the service was amazing, decor light and spacious. Would highly recommend.

15/06/2026: Excellent from start to finish! Thank you to all the kitchen team for the delicious food and thank you to all the front of house team for looking after us so wonderfully! Everyone was so professional and always did it with a smile 😁 Thank you so much for singing happy birthday to my partner and the little petit fours and candle, she was so happy and massively embarrassed at the same time 🤣 A special mention for Caoimhe who was so attentive, joined in with happy birthday and helped us figure out where to carry on our celebrations in to the evening. A lovely young lady who is a credit to the restaurant, thank you for making my partners birthday perfect ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

02/08/2026: The services was lacking. When asked clearly for a slipt bill between our 2 famillies we ended up with a complet table bill. This was not an assign server like we are use to, so the other server doesn't probably know the split bill information... there was a lot of time between visit at the table. We asked for a new jug a water, it never came. I had to get up and find someone and ask again... however the decor is really beautiful but it is loud in there. The food was really good. Great quality. Great restaurant but laking in services during busy hours.

14/07/2026: This must be the best restaurant in Cavan town? Everything on the menu taste absolutely delicious, great selection for kids too and at reasonable prices. Great bar with good selection of cocktails 🍸🍹🥃 Compliments to the interior designer, beautifully decorated inside. Nice selection of outdoor seating too which is nice during the hot weather, although it's limited. Would highly recommend the beef cheeks or Wagyu burger 🍔🤤👌🏻

24/07/2026: Great family friendly service, tasty food at reasonable prices.

21/07/2026: Takeaway pizzas and burgers were wonderful but was very disappointed with the service! The staff were unable to process a gift voucher, so I was left standing for 20 mins while they tried to get it through the till. Luckily they brought the food back to the kitchen to keep it warm and I got a free coke when they finally got sorted.

07/08/2026: The venue was lovely and clean, nicely laid out. The staff were super friendly and polite, very accomodating for our large group. The food was top notch, zero complaints. The portions were a good size, great value for money. The library bar out back was amazing, great setting!

03/08/2026: Dropped in here on way home from Donegal. Herb chicken was outstanding. Will go out of my way to return.

12/06/2026: Have never stayed in a room in the Crystal, but have attended baby sensory classes, popped in for a drink and even got married there as part of the Cavan registry office services. No matter what I've been in for, the staff are always wonderful, courteous and helpful! Today in particular our car died following a sensory class in the hotel and the lovely chap on reception (sorry I didn't get your name) called Freddy from Maintenance to see if he could help. We got the car going quickly and super appreciate how helpful and sympathetic everyone was as we had a small baby in the car too. This only solidifies in my mind how great the crystal is and how often I'll be recommending them to friends and family ❤️

18/07/2026: Friendly staff. Cracking cup of coffee. Fun and different location. I had a flat white with oat milk and my partner had an ice latte with caramel. I am a picky coffee drinker but would definitely recommend this place

18/07/2026: A really fun little whole in the wall. Some lovely local produce available including jam, honey and sourdough bread. Stopped in for a coffee whilst visiting the area. Very tasty coffee and a decent price. Lovely oat milk and a nicely balanced iced latte with caramel. My wife loved her flat white, often served not hot enough at other places! Sad this isn’t our local! Definitely stop in if you are in the area.

24/07/2026: Nicest roast beef dinner I have ever eat. So so good. Nice veg creamed potato and roasted potato. Shared beautiful desert.

13/06/2026: Fabulous caring staff! We brought our young family here for dinner this evening and we were so well looked after. Goujons, chicken curry and Philly cheese steak all gorgeous. Ideal for a stop on our journey, we will remember MacGabhanns for again.

30/07/2026: Great food good range of Gluten free products! The staff are really friendly and the service is very quick. They even have a range of Gluten free sweet products which is rare!! There is a lovely shop attached beware if you have a shopping addiction to gift ware!!!

29/06/2026: I had a wonderful meal last evening. The staff were excellent — friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. The food was absolutely top‑class, full of flavour and great portions. Prices were very reasonable for the quality you get. A brilliant experience from start to finish. Staff, food, and price all 💯.

14/06/2026: Came back to this great eating pub after 6 years, really friendly welcome,had onion rings for starters and huge sirloin steaks cooked rare for main, the onion rings were really freshly cooked,hot and crispy and the steaks were cooked to perfection and tasted great,one of the best steaks I have had in a long time, all the staff are helpful and friendly and I can't recommend this place enough,it does get busy at peak evening times but they turn the tables round really quickly, not the cheapest meal but so worth it.

09/08/2026: Beautiful space, the staff are soo friendly and omg the selection of goodies is amazing, granola bowl is amazing, lovely coffee and you have to try scones and almond croissants 😋

27/05/2026: The food and restaurant is good. Staff are very nice. However the room is a bit small and hot. There is a gap at shower curtain that the floor will get wet after taking shower though it could be fixed.

04/07/2026: The food is really good but the service was kind of slow only because they have 1 chef and that is ok upstairs they have a little play area for the kids it was so cute definitly would reccomend the acai bowl overall for me it was an 8/10 reccomend for a little day out

18/05/2026: The service was great. The location of the hotel was great. It wasn't far from were me and my family had to go to. We were their to watch the ulster final.
